Also, I don't think Xenagos is the red/green god. I'm sure we will see the Gruul God before Xenagos tries to take over, just to make the cycle fair.
Just a thought... The cycle of scry lands in Theros includes the RGTemple of Abandon. Why would a temple exist to a non-existant colour combination, flavour-wise? This kind of backs up the already-existing RG god idea.
While talking of the temples, let's look at the other gods:
Kruphix - Greek Κρυφή (Kruphé) means hidden, which matches the Temple of Mystery
Iroas - Greek Ήρωας (Iroas) means hero, which matches the Temple of Triumph
Phenax - Greek Φενάκ (Phenak) means hoax or illusion, which matches the Temple of Deceit
Athreos - Not sure about this one. Greek Αίθριος (Aithrios) means clear or cloudless and Αιθρία (Aithria) means shine, neither of which really suggest Temple of Silence
Xenagos - Greek Ξεναγός (Xenagos) means guide, which doesn't really match the Temple of Abandon
@DominionSpy The art for Temple of Abandon displays people (it's the only temple that does), but those people don't pay any attention to it. That suggests the temple has been abandoned, nobody worships its god anymore. Thus, the RG god is either absent, or the lack of worshippers has effectively erased him from the pantheon - thus leaving a place for Xenagos to ascend into. Another indicator of such thing is the absence of any cards that mention the RG god, while the other gods have at least one card that references them.
That's a really good point. I like the idea of that.

As for Athreos, Athreos is a mix of Charon and Thanatos, stated to be the one who finds and leads the dead cross the river into the underworld and brings any who try to run off back. Clear or cloudless would go with silence, as both are empty.
Guide fits perfectly if he's there to lead the ones abandoned by the empty seat of the Gods. As the temple is one of an empty chair, it suggests that it needs an occupant, not that it's already occupied.
Hybrid mana symbols in their casting costs. Split Devotion I would think, so for example Ephara would require 5 of any combination of WU symbols.
Which, in turn, would make all the Guild Gods disgustingly splashable and more akin to what WotC seems to be moving away from (i.e. last year's multicolored "good stuff"). I'm just not sold on the idea that they'll make some so boring and unchallenging from a building/design perspective.

I'm officially proposing we retire the word "insane" from the MtG vocabulary.

My guess is the Hybrid Gods will require devotion to one color for One Thing, and devotion to the Other Color for the Other Thing.
So, basically... 'If your devotion to ~ is ~, this is a creature and gets +2/+2 and <ability.>
If your devotion to ~ is ~, this is a creature and gets +1/+1 and <ability.>'

And if your devotion is less than that on both sides, the thing would be a literally do-nothing Enchantment. Now THIS type of design would make more sense.

The mechanic of the Gods, and the reason that Enchantment Creature is a part of the set, is that the Gods HAVE AN EFFECT even when they aren't Creatures.
Making their effects only relevant as a creature with Devotion makes zero sense Top Downing.
My guess is a Devotion of 6 (or 3 and 3) to hit creature status, two effects of less overall impact than the Big 5, and lower P/T stats all around. The question being how to hit a balance their board impact over making them easier or harder to hit devotion for.

Iroas is the God of Victory.
Phenax is the God of Deceit.
Athreos is probably the God of Silence.

This is my big question, honestly. I'm not sure how multicolored Gods will work with the devotion mechanic.

You've seen Emmara Tandris right?
We have 5 awesome mono colored gods. 10 po-dunk after thought rares make sense to me.
Edited to also point out that if the devotion requirement is high enough they wouldn't be that easily splash-able.

You missed my point. I was arguing that they'd be boring good stuff cards, not unplayables.
