I am fairly certain that Bolas has a kill switch in Tezzeret should the latter become unruly. He is the master of Mind Rape after all.
Of course. Bolas is like the Evil, Draconic Batman of Magic. He only loses when something he didn't foresee occurs, and if given time to plan cant lose barring that. One doesn't revive an enemy without some leverage over them. Tezzeret knows this. That alone is why he doesn't step out of line.

I am pretty sure that the next time we see Bolas, we will see him involved directly and with a new planeswalker card.
In mirrodin, the goings of phyrexia probably interested him, but it was not as if he directly tried anything as he did with the Maelstrom in Alara.
In Theros, the power of the gods is something that would interest him. If he could use Xenagos to usurp the existing gods and take their place, he will gain an amazingly large amount of power. Of course, Xenagos does not need bolas to attempt it, but then again, he is R/G, and does not have the black ''ambition'' to attempt it, so there could be something else.
Its more interesting if some other god is involved in this. It kind of undermines the might of the gods if someone like Bolas would be able to influence them on their own plane.
Except, we don't know if the power of the Theran gods are tied to that plane specifically (which is very likely given the nature of faith). If that is the case, then Bolas would have no interest in the plane. Xenagos on the other hand wants to be a big fish in a small pond rather than what he has realized he is, a very tiny fish in a very large ocean.

Actually he probably has at least a tiny influence on Theros. Apparently he also was involved with Innistrad. Not with the events on the plane but if you read the comics on the wizards sight he had some involvement with the Veil that Lilliana has.
Edit: The Veils Curse Part 2. Vol shows up at the end of it. It is also hinted that Bolas made certain that she could find the Veil, and it wouldn't surprise me if he had manipulated the demon.
It wouldn't surprise me to learn that Bolas has agents on Innistrad by virtue of being Bolas, but there's nothing explicitly saying as much in the lore.

We have explicit knowledge that Bolas has a built in kill switch in Tezzeret's mind. And Tezzeret knows this as well. Bolas loses patience, Tezzeret stops being a man and starts being a large lump of meat and metal.
We also know that Bolas is willing to give Tezzeret some amount of leway and considers him too valuable of a resource to simply kill.
If he didn't, he would have wasted Tezzeret after the first imp he killed.

To be fair, Imps are fairly easy to come by compared to planeswalkers. I mean, the first imp in M:TG only cost 2B, and the second was even cheaper.
