So I'm guessing Theros will have a destroy non-enchantment creature variant? What does everyone think? Or will it be non-black non-enchantment to mirror Terror?
We won't see "Destroy target non-enchantment creature" at instant for 2cmc, that's for sure. That would be better than Doom Blade, Go For the Throat and Victim of Night in any other format, because it would basically say "Destroy target creature". Maybe at 2B, like Rend Flesh? Just a little bit worse than Murder, and just a little bit easier to cast?
I think it depends how many enchantment creatures there will be that aren't indestructible. If most of the enchantment creatures are the indestructible gods, it would be kind of redundant.

An instant "Destroy target non-enchantment creature" for 1B is fine. The whole Theros block will keep it in check for standard the same way Scars block kept Go for the Throat in check.
And who play mono-black 2cc removal in any eternal format anyway?

I didn't mean to imply that people do, but those cards indicate the current power level of black 2cmc instant removal. I don't think they'd raise the level when they made Doom Blade uncommon and decided that burn in standard should be no better than Searing Spear/Shock.

At best, the spell would be "Destroy target non-enchanted, non-enchantment creature." for BB. I don't think this set will have enough destructible enchantment creatures for a 2-cmc black kill spell to be balanced around only enchantment creatures. This would also give lenience to aura decks that are easily hated out by cheap kill spells.

All those aura decks use creatures with hexproof. I agree with everything else you wrote though.

Maybe it would be reliable to think something like a "Target player sacrifices an enchanted creature" or "Destroy target enchantment creature or enchanted creature. If the enchanted creature has auras attached to it, exile them."
What about
"Target non-enchantment creature gets -2/-2. If your devotion to black is 5 or greater, destroy that creature instead."
Pretty parasitic, but I like it. Or in that same vein, what about
"Target creature gets -X/-X, where X is equal to your devotion to black"
They could pack a ton of flavour into a card like that.
that's pretty realistic. See Victim of Night, which just as well covers practically all creatures in Modern/Legacy. Doom Blade or Go for the Throat are much more limited than either of the BB instants.

Not saying that your card couldn't happen, but it would hit a lot more creatures than Victim. There are a lot of Werewolves, Zombies and Vampires out there.

Remember, a signature problem of black is trouble with enchantments. Anything which directly says "destroy target enchantment creature" seems unlikely.
@Sauce: "Target creature gets -X/-X, where X is equal to your devotion to black" seems legit, but it also makes the Gods cry as it can cut through indestructible so I'm not sure how likely it is.

Maro was saying on his blog that in a set with indestructible gods, there needs to be ways to deal with them, especially in limited. I honestly think this would be quite reasonable as a one drop at uncommon or even common if we want to compare it to cards like tragic slip.
Remember, a signature problem of black is trouble with enchantments. Anything which directly says "destroy target enchantment creature" seems unlikley.
That's exactly why MaRo said that many enchantments will also be creatures: For black and red to have a way to deal with them. They can kill them as creatures the same way white can kill artifact lands with artifact destruction.
Not to go too Kamigawa style, but do you think there would be a "destroy target enchantment creature" as well?
Well it's possible, but such a card would be super-narrow, especially considering that some of the more high profile enchantment creatures in the block (ie gods) are indestructible.
You would probably have to add something more to it, like Scry, to make it worthwhile even for just 1 or 2 mana.
And who play mono-black 2cc removal in any eternal format anyway?
If artifact creatures were monocoloured, ultimate price would definitely see eternal play, and thats just going by the opinion/mistakes multiple people on CF made.
Aside from abrupt decay being the best removal spell ever printed for eternal formats, any splashable unrestricted creature removal spell for 2 mana has potential.
Not every deck in eternal formats play white, quite the opposite actually.

The Internet was a revelation to me, I never imagined there are so many idiots on this planet.
That's funny since it is the opposite of what you originally posted, but I think it works out better this way. With the number of enchantment creatures in standard this is bound to have some use.

Destroy target non-enchantment creature. Scry 1.
A conditional murder with a small perk, unless even that would be too powerful.
