I've been to various threads and many people have been saying these will probably be reprinted in either M14 or Theros. My question is why would they be reprinted in those sets?
M14? By chance were they talking about modern Masters and not M14?

Back at the bar, when you thought we were getting all palsy-walsy, I was actually flipping through that sorry mind you call an organizer looking for dirt! You know what we call THAT? MIND-TAKING, BABY! ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!
I've been to various threads and many people have been saying these will probably be reprinted in either M14 or Theros. My question is why would they be reprinted in those sets?
From Aaron Forsythe's Modern Masters Explained article:
"I made a big deal early in the format's life that not only were we allowed to reprint the staple cards of the format, but that we actively planned to do so. A good bit of that rhetoric was anchored in the fact that I knew the ten "shocklands" were slated to appear in Return to Ravnica and Gatecrash; similarly, a couple other big Modern cards are slated to show up in other Standard-legal sets down the line."
Emphasis mine.
Forsythe has confirmed that more Modern staples are to be reprinted in Standard-legal sets. This, along with the notable absence of Thoughtseize and Mutavault in Modern Masters, has lead people to believe they could be reprinted in M14 or Theros.

Thank you! Seems reasonable now. Not holding my breath, but at least I got something to look forward to.
If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.
Might as well go all out, I say. If you're putting staples in to sell packs, might as well sell ALL OF THE PAKZ

If I could "like" or "upvote" you right now, I would.

Into the Maw of Hell is a name so awesome, it deserves its own song.
It would be about a world of brown spikes and red fire, where men fight and scream and become blurry masses. Then it would change to somber, we learn that this glorious place exists only in Raymond Swanland's head. To visit it, you must enter the maw of Hell itself.
Didn't they also mention they were excluding cards that were under consideration for banning? Could be that Thoughtseize was in that group.
I don't know what reality you'd have to live in to think Thoughtseize would come close to being banned, but its not this one. It's good, yes, but not format defining or warping.
I could see Mutavault being in M14 as a rare or mythic and Thoughtseize being in Theros.

Thoughtseize fits zero criteria that Wizards have set forth for banning cards (format-warping, every deck in ___ color runs it, makes matches take too long). I would say it's a strong contender for M14/Theros.
I see little to zero chance that the keyword "changeling" will be reprinted in a core set. There is slightly more chance that will happen in Theros, but I don't think changeling is a thing that will come back in Standard anytime soon. Its best chance now is probably the next Commander release.

I sure hope it wouldn't be considered for banning, but given previous bannings it wouldn't be entirely surprising.

I hope you're right.
I'm also a bit suprised that Urza's Mine / Power Plant / Tower didn't make it, but the arch type did get some support in Academy Ruins while it would be hard to make RG Tron draftable as Wurmcoil and the Eldrazi titans are too new for this set (maybe Sylvan Scrying makes it). Perhaps the modern frame, black border Tron lands are coming to standard?
Older Magic as a Board Game: Panglacial Wurm , Mill
Nope. M14 since it's been pretty much confirmed it's not in Modern Masters.

Mutavault doesn't have the changeling keyword.
I can almost see it having a sliver hive style artwork if it does make it to m14.
I certainly want a playset, but not enough for $30 a pop.

Didn't Maro say that Mishra's Factory is too powerful for standard?
He also stipulated (paraphrasing here) that he believed it was too powerful and that balancing wasn't his area of expertise.

Tron isn't good for draft and there is no supply issue with tron pieces at all.
I don't see how they don't print thoughtsieze sometime very very soon though if they are serious at all about making the format accessible.

Neither deck can support a colorless land very well
