Why do the Gates still have letters in the flavor text that are not in line? If you look at the RTR Gates, each have a couple of letters that are a little higher than the others. I've always thought it was a weird error. But it looks like the Gatecrash Gates have them too. For example, look at the "i" in "mastermind" on the Dimir Guildgate, or the "t" in "deception".
I don't think it's possible to underestimate Tibalt. He's horribly bad, and the decks that try to play him are bad. The only way to estimate him less than that would be to suggest that he'll give you herpes if you play him in your deck... and I wouldn't rule that out.
Well, *that's* ominous!
I guess Re-return to Ravnica ain't happening?
So much for this "less dark" approach to the plot they spoke of
We know there are already plans for Return to Return to Ravnica. If the guilds destroy each other, the plane is still there. And honestly, things might end up better for the people of the plane as a whole if they can finally be rid of the guilds for good and set up a more fair system of governance.
This is one of the coolest Magic easter eggs I've ever seen, but I don't know why people are taking an oblique message as an indicator that the guilds will once again fall. Rather than assume that this is WotC's proclamation, I figure this reflects some in-game character (Niv?)'s intent. We still need to wait until the third set to see if they succeed.
