Purhapse a From the Vault that is iconic and full of powerful older cards that aren't reserved. I'm thinking force of will style cards. And what's more, since it is the 20th celebration they actually print enough of the sets so that they don't instantly go for 5-10X their MSRP.
M14 will end up being Fifteenth Edition. They'll switch to the Future Sight card frame. Urza, Serra, and Avacyn will be printed as planeswalkers. They'll go back to white borders for Core Sets, and reprint 8ED-14E with them. We'll see a third Unset, perhaps called Unscrewed.
...Avacyn, really? No, just no. She cannot even be a Planeswalker.
Anyways, I don't think Wizards is likely to do a whole lot for the event to be honest, people are getting their hopes up way too high.

I just want a pair of constructed playable knights at BB and WW as casting cost. Upgrades of Black and White Knight, respectvely. (And don't talk to me about Infamy and Glory, I know they are good, but I want better than just exalted)
In all seriousness, they should bite the bullet and revise the Reserve List.
There will be much vocal griping and moaning, but there is about anything they ever do anyways, and it too shall pass. They will need to lay out the strong logic for doing so:
1. The new List will keep all the important Power and Dualies and other Important stuff safely tucked away for ever.
2. The perfectly fair, should-have-never been on the List cards will GO UP in value by being reprinted, not down, and add much to the game by being dusted off and put back in action. Cards like Thunder Spirit, and a hundred others, would be fun to have in Standard and pimpin to have old versions of if they are in Standard.
3. Frequent and thorough calm, assertive articles and PR campaign to explain why it was the wrong list before and that the new, better list is safe.
4. Doing this would make for a really fun 20th year/M14 set that will appeal to those of us oldtimers in a new way by getting our hands on cards we haven't played with since the mid 90's.

I for one am ready to be disappointed by whatever WoTC does because chances are it will not affect me in any way.
A big tournament? I probably wouldnt be able to go.
Abolishing the reserved list? Everything they reprinted would still retain massive value and the packs/boxes would be constantly sold out (so long as they reprinted powerful cards, ie: duals). Or be printed in extremely limited numbers (see modern masters).
I feel like there are a ton of neat things they *could* do, but those are all neat things that they probably *wont* do.

Yes, that would be a very wise and rational plan of action, in my mind, and I definitely would like to see it happen, as well. I agree that some cards definitely should never be reprinted, such as those that are incredibly powerful (including the Power Nine, the original dual lands, etc.) or that refer to the ante or physical manipulation of the cards (such as chaos orb or falling star), but numerous other cards on the reserve list make little sense being there, such as the thunder spirit that you mentioned above. I definitely believe that a revision of the reserve list and reprint policies would be beneficial for both WotC and the players, although I cannot be certain how likely it is that WotC would do such a thing: it still is an excellent idea, nevertheless.

You're one sick puppy. I still have some Homelands cards, and every time I see them I get a little depressed.
They're not going to reprint anything off the wall, because they're actually trying to nurse a new eternal format: Modern. They're not going to open up Modern to Swords to Plowshares, Dark Ritual, or Counterspell.
I do think they'll do something special for it; perhaps a foil in every pack?
OMG, don't remind me, Homelands was the first box I ever bought...
But on topic, I was thinking of an all foil or foil in every pack too. Maybe every rare and mythic is foil?

As printed, that promo was given out in 2007 for Worldwide Magic Game Day. I remember seeing a commercial or something for it. Still not sure what happened on the tenth anniversary, but it wasn't this, which is admittedly lame.
It's widely known that [EDH] is very broken. Building a superdeck is quite easy. So what defines you as a player is [...] how you show restraint and creativity while still remaining a competitive player and a good sport.
the only problem with urza is that he is an oldwalker, so its abilities would be like:
+3: remove up to ten target permanents from the play
-2: win the game
-8: kick your opponents in the face, then win the game
starting loyalty: 100

the only reason to care about the reserved list is the lack of reprints of the good cards (duals, p9, led, etc). if they do what u are saying, that will be a really bad joke.
OMG, don't remind me, Homelands was the first box I ever bought...
But on topic, I was thinking of an all foil or foil in every pack too. Maybe every rare and mythic is foil?
Foil in every pack sure thats fine, but you make everything foil and you will lose sales. I hate foils and would not buy any boosters with foil only rares.
I think a foil in every booster would be a wise move. It helps "gamblers" justify buying packs on the risk of opening a much higher priced foil equivalent of rares/mythics. Not to mention I am sure people would like it.
@iTRV I totally agree with you about not liking foils though. They're weirdly bendy and grossly shiny. Give me my somewhat matte pieces of cardboard.
Urza, Serra, and Avacyn will be printed as planeswalkers.
Avacyn can't be a walker. That's been covered multiple times. Her artificial nature means there's no chance of her having a spark.
As for predictions, it's been a while since Zendikar. I could see them doing full art lands again. I also expect that you'll see a M14 set with significant nostalgia, mostly with characters and references to older sets, Dominaria, etc.
The Magic Celebration might also get some sort of cool change. I could see drafting with a randomized mix of boosters from 8th Edition on for that day. I'd also believe some sort of cool thing going on on 8/3 (closest Saturday to Alpha's 8/5 release) would be a decent bet.
What would I like for the 20th anniversary? Destroy the Reserved List. Instill a new creation called the "Collector's List" or something. Put moxen, lotus, time walk, etc. on it. All those super high value rare cards that rarely see play and truly are just a collectors item. But give us reprints of staples like the duals, LED, Academy, Survival, etc.
What will probably happen? Special large tournament somewhere, maybe some "shocking" reprints (and by shocking, I mean something like the recent inclusion of Nicol Bolas in the core set). And if we're lucky, a special promo to be given out at the prerelease that is one of those reprints (but obviously not a chase one, it'll just be one of the intro pack rares).
I don't really care about most of the "lesser" reserved list cards. If Wizards were to ever abolish the reserved list, I'd hope it would be by printing the ABU Duals for the sake of the eternal formats.
Oh, and for something between 100-150 dollars, we will see the Modo cube in paper with non-tournament legal backs (like the world championship decks they used to do), with 250 basic lands with 250 different pieces of art!
Market it more as a board game than a Magic product (cause most designer board games with that many pieces already cost 100 dollars or more)
I'm a proud member of the Online Campaign for Real English. If you believe in capital letters, correct spelling, and good sentence structure, then copy this into your signature.
If that's your "casual," what on earth is required for "formal," a butler in livery shuffling the decks whilst a pianist plays Brahms in front of a tapestry?
There should be a Chance to Win Stuff Like Boosters , Posters , Displays, Fullartlands , Dices , Lifecounters , Novels , Downloads and stuff. Enter WinCode and they send you the Price. Would be cool
Only problem would be that since MtG has players worldwide, shipping stuff like boosters etc. to players round the world might turn a tad problematic. And the way they might solve the problem might turn out to be "Only in USA, you Asians/Europians/where ever you live get nothing!"

I would hope not, since I'm really not a fan of full art cards. I mean, I don't care if they do that, I just hope there would be more to it than that.
You're the only person I've heard of that doesn't like full art cards.

I doubt they'll reprint any big money cards.
Why do you doubt that? And what cards do you consider to be "big money cards?"
