The Dimir creature looks creepily similar to the Horror in the Call of the Nightwing card previewed yesterday, so I'd hazard a guess at it being a Horror

Not true, we can see the Simic prerelease card is Fathom Mage and it only costs 2GU so there is no patten between the prerelease cards mana cost wise.
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.
