Why do people come to a design conclusion based solely on the art and the name of this thread? Was the art named mox or something?
I think the vantage point of the art piece lends a lot to the speculation that it's a Mox of some kind. Virtually all of Braga's Mox pieces are from the perspective of the beholder and this piece has some similarities to that theme; it's definitely not 1 for 1, the Braga Moxen tend to look down upon the Mox cusped by 2 hands, including the more recent Mox Opal, so while the vantage point is similar, it doesn't line up exactly with the viewpoint of the beholder nor does it have 2 hands clasping the artifact.
I think that starts the fire and imagination provides much of the fuel. We latch onto the familiar to generate iterations of what might be, but in the end it most likely will be just Prophetic Prism
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.

One of the main aspects of Moxen is that they are powerful and unique. It would lose A LOT of its flavour if suddenly we started seeing them every standard format we have, specially if it's a lame moxen, like a mana filtering Mox. So, I highly doubt it is a Mox on this picture.
Also, this thread is in the wrong subforum, it should be in speculation.
This exactly why this art isn't a mox. Since Mox Diamond from Stronghold in 1998 then Chrome Mox in 2003 and the current Mox Opal in 2010 Wizards keeps these gems spaced out because ALL of them are playable and they don't want too many (if any) free mana acceleration often. This reminds me of Darksteel Relic all over again.
That would be lame. Mana filter is good, as are cards that replace themselves, but we need more fresh cards. I'm hoping for a cheap manalith that etbt. Fellwar stone is probaly a more realistic expectation though
Spec: Mox Prism 0
Legendary Artifact. t: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Spend this mana only on Multicolored Spells or Activated Abilities of Multicolored permanents.
My money's on this.
Balanced and fitting for certain zoo builds or 5cc
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
Mox Prism
0
Legendary Artifact - Mythic rare
Imprint -- If Mox Prism would enter the battlefield you may exile any number of cards from your hand. Mox Prism may tap for 1 mana of any color of any mana symbol appearing on cards exiled this way.
Something like that, my templating is weaksauce but you get the idea If it's not the Prophetic Prism then I think they might opt for something like that.
reminds me of chrome mox, which is banned in modern, would that mean they would not reprint something as powerful in standard?

Actually, they wouldn't reprint it because Imprinting is a technique used by the mirrans on mirrodin and phyrexians when they invaded mirrodin. Very doubtful that the keyword would be in RtR.
not a mox. really hope it's a 2 drop artifact accelerant. adding a cantrip to mind stone instead of sacing to draw is probably where we're at in terms of power creep.

Mana acceleration has been severely toned down the last 10 years. I don't see them printing a better Mind Stone any time soon.
Edit: Ironically, with miracle around, the original Mind Stone may have been better.
Plus, it's just a loose gem, all moxen have been necklaces.
This is the absolute truth.

Anyhow, the best I can come up with myself is a game in the top 8 of a PTQ back during Urza block in which we were starting game 3 with time already expired, so the tiebreaker rule was that whoever had more life after 3 turns would win. And I lost to... healing salve.
I don't understand why anyone thinks this is a mox. Just because it's being held in a hand? Like has been pointed out there is no setting, it's a loose gem. Prophetic Prism is a loose gem held in a hand as well. This looks way more like Prophetic Prism than a mox to me. In my opinion the chance that this is a mox is 0.0001% and only that sliver of possibility because stupider things have happened before so who the heck knows.
The thing I don't understand why no one has noticed is that that hand belongs to J.P. Prewitt - the worlds greatest hand model. He's a real finger jockey. Doesn't think like those face n body boys at all.
Also - not a mox.

Uh, no. They wouldn't waste the title "Legendary" on something that simple.
- To my youngest sister when she was 6.
Indeed.
The only reason Mox Opal is Legendary is to keep it from activating Metalcraft on other Opals-
none of the other Moxes are Legendary.

That's my take on a Mox. My vote goes to Prismatic Lens though.
I just think it bears too close a resmblence to the others we've seen with the hands and all. Feels like it has to be a Mox of some kind.

That card is ridiculous. Any color can have 3 mana on turn 2 and can have 2 mana on turn 1 if they are so inclined.
