Since there aren't any panels (right?), I wouldn't count on anything beyond art (like last year).
New spoilers would likely be done at their PAX Prime events. They've done that before in the past, right?
If I had to be hopeful for GenCon, I would hope that the artwork for the second RtR planeswalker would be shown, especially if it isn't character whom we haven't seen before.
There will be SOMETHING there, if just art or whatever. Maybe some FTV spoilers since that's very much around the corner.
It does coincide nicely with that state of design article, but the big spoilers last year were at PAX where for an entire day we hotly debated whether or not wizards had the balls to print double faced cards .I turned out to be wrong, but it was rumor season at its finest.
Nukotoys will be showing off their new Monsterology trading card game that interacts with the iPad...Richard Garfield and Peter Adtkinson were part of the creative process for the cards themselves...I've seen them and they are badass!

There will be previews of both RTR and Realms simply for the fact this event is straight up dedicated to gaming unlike comi-con and pax events. So I'm sure they'll throw us a bone.
everything we got from gencon this year was from insider panels. That's a little disappointing
That's par for the course. Ever since WOTC started going to PAX, Gen Con gets VERY little in the way of spoils.
Gen Con's history from when I've gone:
Kamigawa: Lotus Noir magazine with tons of new art and explaination of theme/mechanics.
Ravnica: The animated video was played all over
Time Spiral: Huge wall of new and concept art, confirming speculation that there would be "throwback" cards and slivers.
Lorwyn: A huge picture of all 5 planeswalkers (not the cards themselves though)
Shards: Some land panoramas
Zendikar: Nothing
Scars: Nothing
ISD: Nothing
RTR: Nothing
Zendikar was the first year of the PAX party, so yeah...
One of the things we saw last year was new art for Garruk thanks to an Ultrapro booth.
Once upon a time (around the time of Ravnica), MTG Worlds would offer a sample card from the upcoming set.
The focus for Gen Con is the championship, but what might we see for Return to Ravnica, if anything at all?
