Kamigawa was the block I started playing Magic, Moonfolk are one of my favourite tribes design-wise ever, and now they're printing one again - almost certain as a planeswalker. No matter how expensive the card gets, I just HAVE to buy one.
There are a lot of things in the multiverse that have planar travelled without being walkers. There was the Planar Portal, Eldrazi could, there have been things displaced by the Time Spiral event, Merit Lage could move from plane to plane, but never indicated as being a walker.
Honestly, at this point, there are more non Walkers Planejumping that actual Walkers haha.
It looks like they are doing a "Return to" series:
1. Return to Mirrodin
2. Return to Kamigawa should be here, but no, you can't have one. Here, have a moonfolk walker in Innistrad.
3. Return to Ravnica
4.?????
5. Superfriends vs Bolas vs Eldrazi vs Phyrexians in "Showdown at Dominaria".

- There was no rift connecting Kamigawa to Innistrad.
- The Phyrexians have never touched Innistrad or Kamigawa, so the chances of
there being a portal connecting Kamigawa to Innistrad.
- Marit Lage was a human sorceress who preferred the shape of a kraken, not
a soratami. Why she could travel planes without a spark was never really
explored and we're still left hanging on that one.
- A branch of the Infinite Consortium exists on Mercadia. You may get your wish
someday!
Really, there is little else that soratami could be other than a planeswalker.
Just assuming for a second the devilish-looking guy is not a planeswalker (oh my goodness - shocking, I know...), he could very well fill the power vacuum left by Griselbrand's sudden demise. Perhaps is the new baddie in a newly resotored Innistrad.
And since it is the speculation subforum of the rumor mill: why not the reformed energy of Griselbrand - a new demon but perhaps powerwise on par with Griselbrand.
Possible, but this could work regardless of whether he is a walker or not.
We do need an antagonist.
I see no reason why he couldn't be a demon instead of a devil.
All of his face is red. We've seen the art and it is extremely red. That points toward a certain color that is not host of demons.
Also, ISD demons are muscular while he is not.

Yes, and you've focused on the specifics of what we know about the story so far, and ignored the fact that they have pulled interplanar travel out of their ass before and are capable of doing it again.
People are assuming this because there is a high chance that she is one.
Soratami are NOT native to the plane of Innistrad, so the only way Innistrad
could end up having one is if one sojourned via planeswalking.
EDIT: And to the guy who was wondering why we haven't had a goblin
walker yet.. we've had one. Slobad. He inherited his spark from Glissa,
then sacrificed it to revive her. I love and miss Slobad. : (
So you're 100% sure that Soratami do not have counter parts or exist in Innistrad? Is there such proof of this?

Aside from the fact that soratami (a japanese inspired race of bunny-eared cloud
people) haven't been alluded to in Innistrad until now? No. Isn't it a bit odd to
reveal this race as a native of Innistrad during the final expansion of the block?
It is highly unlikely considering we've seen neither head nor hair of once since
the start of the block.
Soratami aren't also called "moonfolk" because they worship the moon. They
worshiped the SPIRIT of the kamigawa moon, which was a big antagonist in
the Kamigawa story line.
If it turns out that Innistrad has had soratami all along, I will eat a thousand
unborn puppy fetuses.

Two full sets and months of worldbuilding and articles on the setting and nary a mention of them? Not to mention that Japanese rabbit-moonfolk aren't exactly a natural fit with a gothic horror world. The Soratami popping up in the third set saying they were on the plane all along would be ridiculous. There's no precedent for it and there's no reason for it.

No, but, dude! There is this thing called inductive reasoning. It's the hottest thing in town. At least that's what I have decided after a few people have told me so.
Because they never put cool looking junk on booster packs before, huh?
It's called upping the ante. I'm not only saying it will be hard to find (i.e. mythic rare), but that it will be a chase card. I appeal to audacity to counter his claim that it will be uncommon.
I'm hoping the Devil is a sick legend for Commander.
See, that's how I know EDH has it's hooks in me, I'm actually sad when cool flavorful cards are walkers instead of legends, because that just means one less general.
Maybe she/it was locked in the sliver of the moon that became the Helvault. Then, whenever the Helvault was unlocked, she was finally freed from it. There wouldn't have to be an explanation of her until now, because no one would have known she existed, locked inside of the Helvault/moon sliver.

What is with this theory cropping up with every new character they hint at? Seriously, why does there need to be a third person in the vault when absolutely NOTHING relies or indicates that as the case. They suggested the same thing about the devil guy and I have no idea where it came from.

Well, there are other beings in the Helvault, because Avacyn burst out with them. It wasn't just like there was two characters in the Helvault.

While I'd rather not see the moonfolk race on Innistrad, bunnies have been known to hide from wolves. So a race of, as everyone likes to point out, rabbit-looking people would probably try to hide when their human neighbours started turning into vicious predators and hunting for blood.
Still, it's far-fetched and the fact that not one Innistrad resident has ever asked, "Whatever happened to our bunny neighbours?" convinces me that the moonfolk picture is one of a planeswalker and not a creature.
Middle of the article, Jenrik's Tower. But Jenrik seems to be a male, human, and he uses geists as protectors of his tower, I'm not sure that a Soratami would do this.
And while I don't think Jenrik is a Soratami, communing with the spirit realm is a very Soratami thing to do. So, if a planeswalker or creature, I'm sure it'd be a safe bet to say that it will interact w/ the Spirit creature type (i.e. geists).
Well, there are other beings in the Helvault, because Avacyn burst out with them. It wasn't just like there was two characters in the Helvault.
Yes, but this doesn't mean that suddenly some unnamed force infinitely more powerful than Avacyn and Gristlebutt was in there and nobody had a clue. I mean, honestly.

There were a lot of things in the Helvault. Its where Avacyn put demons and other baddies. There were probably hundreds of entities in there.
I swear I first read it as Wingbonger...something tells me that "As Long as Wingbonger is paired with another creature, both creatures have weed." wouldn't be as good. Seems solid for limited.

The point is that there is absolutely no precedent behind introducing soratami
to Innistrad, especially in the final expansion of the block.
The chances of them being there all along and just hiding is next to zero.
