The new Sorin is making my deck-building senses tingle and my wallet weep uncontrollably.
I'm definitely picking up Faithless Looting and the green Geist. Increasing Devotion will replace my Conqueror's Pledges in every deck I have. I might also get a few of those Chalices for a goofy lifegain deck.
I'm liking the set a lot so far. There are cards for every type of player, and the richness of flavor from Innistrad hasn't been lost. There are a few cards that I have enormous problems with, but on a whole, I'm happy. My favorites are Zombie Apocalypse, Havengrul Lich, and our new Innistrad (Over)Lord, Sorin.
Thus far, mine are as follows:
Thalia
Zombie Apocalypse
Secrets of the Dead (potential card draw engine in the right deck)
Gravecrawler (COMBOS)
Strangleroot Geist
Falkenrath Aristocrat
Havengul Lich
Edit: I like Sorin as a Planeswalker card, but I hate the art.
I totally want 2 Sorin, but otherwise the only must own is Thalia for me. I preordered a playset of her hoping that she wouldn't price up too horribly. I figure I paid $4 a piece and I would have easily traded $5 each, so even if she trends down I still feel good about it. Sorin however I will wait on.
Gravecrawler I'm watching, but as I don't have any decks that really would abuse him, I'm not going to go out of my way to get them.
The set is kind of depressing so far. I think there are a few great cards.. strangleroot geist, Sorin.. etc.
Disappointed by the choice not to make certain creatures legendary... that would have turned some mildly interesting cards into a bigger draw...
But im really concerned about the set value. The assignment of rarity seems completely random in DA. Why is kar of eyeballs rare? Strangleroot geist uncommon but gravecrawler rare? Mind control lady is mythic? Very confused. Packs of this set generally seem worthless so far. All but 4 cards are selling fo for less than half the value of a pack, and those four are mythics 3 of which i doubt will see much play.
Needless to say, theres a lot left to learn so fingers crossed on things getting better.
I don't know what to think yet. We haven't even seen 1/4 of the cards, but of the ones we have seen, 1/2 are horrible, 1/4 are great and 1/4 are meh. I do love the artwork and the flavour though.
They've previewed 6 of the 10 mythics so far, yes?
1 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
2 Drogskol Reaver
3 Falkenrath Aristocrat
4 Havengul Lich
5 Moonveil Dragon
6 Beguiler of Wills
...Which leaves space for Huntmaster of the Fells (7), possibly a non-DFC legendary werewolf (8), a mythic GW human to complete the cycle (9), and Elbrus the Binding Blade (10), if it's mythic. Meh. Hopefully the two DFC mythics don't count towards the 10 (like Garruk didn't Innistrad) so we'll have 12.
Thalia, the mythic vampire, Faithless Looting, Strangleroot Geist, Gravecrawler, and any and all werewolf tribal cards. Set's looking good so far, and can't wait to see the rest!
I really like pretty much all of the cards so far. Most of them are pretty good, and the rest are still fun. I really like all of the multicolor cards in particular so far, they're pretty neat and better than average at least. I have about half the cards preordered already, oops. At least I got Sorin before he hit 50, let alone 60.
As for money efficient, I think Thalia's the only one that looks a bit underpriced right now. I'm not sure why she's still so low when pretty much everyone has nothing but good to say about her? Not complaining though.
So far, the one I really like is Thalia. Planning on getting a set of her. And as jonnybgood23 has stated, I will also be refraining from getting Sorin as its price right now is just ridiculous. The werewolf cards are looking also fantastic so I will definitely getting those. Especially Wolfbitten Captive and Immerwolf. Thats it for now hope more goodies will show.
Do we usually get spoilers from non-Daily MTG sites over the weekend, or will we be waiting for Monday to get more? (Didn't think this really needed to be its own thread and this seemed as good a place as any to ask.)

We'll probably get 1 or 2 more during the afternoon tomorrow (Friday) from other sites, as well
Sorin is overpriced, because everyone saw Black and White and went, SOLAR FLARE! plus the fact he costs 4 and Liliana is 3, sorin can easily be protected, oh and he protects himself.
Sorin will likely settle in the $30-35 range, unless a B/W aggro/midrange archetype appears after AVR.
The cards I am excited for are Huntmaster, Gravecrawler and the Undying Geist.
More werewolves spoiled. I like the one-drop more than the Huntmaster, who I think will usually be a worse Blade Splicer. I don't think the deck needs that many four mana spells, then again I've never taken a walk on the wild side with werewolves.
We can expect even more tribal in the coming weeks, it seems.
If this thread is for speculation, Week 1 has left me very curious about the doubling flashback cycle. I gather from Increasing Devotion and Increasing Confusion that they are pushing the efficiency of the featured effects. I'm hoping the black one will be a Buried Alive variant that doubles from 2 to 4 on both tutoring and CC, but I'm not holding my breath. Wouldn't be surprised by a green Overrun effect in that cycle, either.
I'm also convinced wizards'll do a Legendary werewolf that doesn't transform, and am wondering if it'll be in this set or the next one.
Also, I'm amazed at the lack of independent spoilers. I think the only one we've gotten so far this season is the UW fog guy. Where're the rumormongers at?!
Going to be doing some serious testing with the new Werewolves. Chalice of Life/Death will find a spot in my life gain for sure. Ghoultree is another if the price is right. The Humans will be a big thing as well.

Why that range though? Both Garruks have a good fit in a couple different high level decks and they're both about $18. Granted something good could come up for him to fit in, but there isn't really anything out there that makes you want to go beyond white tokens with black splashed for Sorin and Doomblade with the current mana. Maybe if there is some other type of B/W land. Otherwise skip black go green and put in either Garruks or Elspeth.
What does everybody like so far? What do you think are the most money-efficient cards so far?
So far, I only "need" to acquire Strangleroot Geist, Faithless Looting, "Everwolf," Gather the Townsfolk and more Faithless Looting. I'm not listing Sorin because of the $60 price tag.
Any future heroes? Future competitive decks? Thoughts on what's been spoiled so far? (I'll be back for another round next week!)

I want so far
1-2 Havengul Lich
2-3 Sorin
4 Strangleroot Geist
3-4 Thalia
Also maybe Gravecrawler,
Dark Ascension is going to be an expensive set for me.
Sun Titan: O hai, don't mind me, just being the blazing sun that never sets.
Vampire Nocturnus: ಠ_ಠ
And that's how Vampire Nocturnus got kicked out of the core set as the promo card.
RG Werewolves RG
B Mono-Black Infect B
R Red Deck Wins R

Havengul Lich: extremely cool in multiplayer. Imagine unending Solemn Simulacrums!
Drogskol Reaver: Interesting secondary ability, especially in a Zedruu deck
Mondronen Shaman // Tovolar's Magehunter, Moonveil Dragon, Zombie Apocalypse, Beguiler of Wills...these cards could have a place in decks with their respective colors

The Lich isn't very Lich like... the Vorapede is great and all but, doesn't seem too top down, strangleroot geist.
Not saying this is a big deal or anything, just an observation
