Just a question, where did it say Garruk was a werewolf? I watched the live feed from PAX and nothing was said there. Also, the "corrupted" art is not a werewolf, just a very angry corrupt planeswalker. As a final point, Garruk wasn't corrupted by a werewolf or a vampire or anything, he was cursed with the chain veil. It's just corrupting black magic as far as we know. There has been nothing to imply thus far that he is a werewolf. He just Transforms as a flavorful way to show him battling his corruption. Think of it more like a Jekyll/Hyde sequence.

they stated in the interview that all red/green DFC's were werewolves, also they stated there were 13 werewolves, go look at the checklist, there are only 13 entries in red and green added together, this included Garruk, thus Garruk is a werewolf
Just a question, where did it say Garruk was a werewolf?
Nothing has said Garruk is a werewolf. That is my speculation because of MaRo's comment thay all green transform cards are werewolves and we know garruks mana cost is (3)G. Furthermore, my last point that previous sets had many cards with a PW as the centerpiece of there art but were not the PW card themselves. How many cards throughout the DON block featured Karn art? Nothing says that the 'night' Garruk art is the actual card.
On the fact of the veil curse, we don't know anything about it or what it does
He will have the same control over transforming like the other werewolves. Maro stated that all werewolves had to transform simultaneously.
Creature side he will be a 4/4 or 5/5 werewolf with trample and fight.
PW side he will put wolf tokens into play or put +1/+1 on them, maybe a rampant growth
***EDIT***
I just noticed that in the alternate art he looks nothing like a werewolf, he looks more like he's turning zombie or is coming down with the plauge or something.... So, he probably doesnt turn into a werewolf.....
I still stand by my statement that Garruk is a werewolf due to the devs comments on that every green and red DFC is a werewolf, and that there are 13 of them, again on the checklist you can add up the red and green cards, including Garruk you get 13, do I think he's a creature, not likely, do I think he's a werewolf, yes (if I had to wager a guess I'd say the day side is more what we'd expect from Garruk, while the night side is a more tribal influenced walker).
I know how PW cards will look like in 2020. They will be like slider mobile phones. The first five abilities on the first side of it. But open it, and you find another five abilities inside. And don't forget to check out the back of it, there are two abilities to boot.
. Maybe we'll see A PW with transform ability, maybe not.
Does Nissa have the type: Tribal Planeswalker - Nissa Elf? I didn't think so.
Why do you think tribal will be in this set at all? They've spoiled all the mechanic of the set, new and old, and tribal was not one of those mechanics. We may have a Tribal Planeswalker someday, but it will not be in this set.
Garruk Relentless3G
Planeswalker - Garruk (M)
+1: Target creature you control gets +1/+1 until end of turn, then fights another target creature.
-2: Put two 2/2 green Wolf creature tokens onto the battlefield.
0: Transform Garruk Relentless.

Garruk Tormented
Legendary Creature - Human Vampire (Black, Green)
Trample, lifelink
At the beginning of the end step, transform Garruk Tormented.

This is just plain wrong. The spark effectivly protected Karn COMPLETELY until he sacced his spark to close the rift which at the same moment made hum vulnerable to it.
I'm not going to argue the Karn point as I didn't play back them nor read the older books, however in the book "Quest for Karn", Venser said that none of the three walkers were immune, only resistant. Maybe its a neo-walker thing?

Quest for Karn isn't a reliable source since the author didn't actually do much in the way of research beyond what Wizards told him at the outset of the plot.
Another problem with the Garruk Werewolf idea is that all werewolves need to transform with the same trigger, and we haven't seen triggered abilities on planeswalkers.
You know, I never took Garruk being a werewolf to mean that he was literally going to have the werewolf type. I just thought he would have werewolf flavor, and not necessarily tribal flavor, just abilities reminiscent of being a werewolf in the storyline.

The ability I bolded is the most unrealistic aspect of this Garruk Relentless because Garruk's transformation being manual (and therefore controllable) flies directly into the face that Garruk is losing control due to the curse.

My understanding of WoTC's policy towards Tribal card-types, and I might be wrong here, is given that the very fact tribals are their own distinct card-type, as different as lands are to artifacts, and they have been used sparingly here and there throughout three blocks, that they may now be inferred as an evergreen card-type. They certainly are not a mechanic intended for a particular block and the game's designers might be free to use it in sets as they feel fit. Or I can be wrong. Either way, we'll know once the Oracle goes up what kind what to expect.
Unless Garruk Relentless is simply a legendary creature, it just seems appropriate he should be designated a werewolf in addition to being a Planeswalker. With a 0: ability you can activate to gain access to Black abilities he may have as a werewolf. That would be awesome. It's about high time Green has had something as broken as tarmogoyf.
#1 Garruk 100% is a planeswalker. No spark lost or whatever.
#2 Garruk is a double-sided planeswalker
#3 Garruk will have 5 abilities for 99,999999999999999901%
#4 Most likely guess is probably: front 3 abilities / back 2 abilities
#5 One of his abilities on the front transforms him. (I personally think his ultimate will do that. Using too much power and have curse feedback or something like that)
#6 He won't be one side planeswalker other side creature
#7 his back-side shows him corrupted. Look at the second art we have with
Liliana is the 5 ability walker, I have viewed the picture. For the millionth time. Stop trolling your opinion as fact, please.
I haven't seen Garruk however but I am guessing he has an uncontrollable transformation possibly via the curse? He hasn't been confirmed to be anything but a double-sided card. Hence why I am speculating how he may start as cursed, possibly even creature form with a flip into the opposite? It is going to be interesting. He is splashable for a reason.
Then we could call him Optimus Primal. I just hope they do justice to that amazing. Relentless Assault and Eron the Relentless could be in the same vein. Those are red cards, though.

Show me one set that includes the Tribal type that is not Future Sight, Lorwyn, or Morningtide. Then explain how Tribal is evergreen.

(1) The spark doesn't protect a PW from phyrexian oil, only slows its progress and (2) The oil is a physical infection while Lycanthropy is a curse
