Keeping the PW at mythic is holding them back. Since they won't print PW below Mythic, I vote they move the 5 titans to Rare and quit saying the reason they are mythic is about Limited. Then we could get some new mythics.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

I hope they don't reprint BSA anymore because she no longer feels mythic as she's been reprinted already, but having her downgraded to a rare will pretty much break limited because she's absurd.
I also don't want the original 5 PW's because they've been reprinted so many times, and it no longer feels "Awesome" to open them now.
I don't mind seeing the Titan cycle back, personally. Or crazy awesome dragons in each colour!!!!!
I want silly over-costed, chaotic and overpowered sorceries and dragons at the mythic rarity.
Yeah! Of the four Mythic sorceries printed so far, one is colourless, one is WUBRG and two are monoblue! We need a ridiculous red sorcery, something like:
Mythic Explosion
6RRR
Sorcery
Mythic Explosion deals 19 damage to each creature and each player.
Yeah, now THAT'S a Mythic!
You could even make it a cycle!
Mythic Growth
6GGG
Sorcery
Put ten +1/+1 counters on each creature.
Mythic Cleansing
6WWW
Sorcery
Destroy all nonland permanents. You gain 3 life for each permanent destroyed this way.
Mythic Knowledge
6UUU
Sorcery
Each player draws seven cards. You get an emblem with "At the beginning of your upkeep, draw cards equal to the number of cards in your hand. You have no maximum hand size."
Mythic Putrification
6BBB
Sorcery
Mythic Putrification deals damage equal to the number of Swamps you control to each creature and each player. You gain life equal to the damage dealt this way.
Seriously, I doubt the Titans will be back. Although once Valakut (the land) rotates they'll just be really strong beaters. So maybe, since ramp decks won't be warping the format anymore.

So what you really meant was, once Valakut rotates...Primeval Titan wont be the best, but will still most likely be really insane like the rest of the titans?
Well, now have at least 1 new planeswalker for each color so...they could swap the Lorwyn walkers for:
- Alara Elspeth for W
- Big Jace for U
- Sorin for B
- Zen Chandra for R
- Nissa for G
Do you think it's possible?
Not in the least...unless WotC really wants to piss off a ton of people by reprinting the two most powerful planeswalkers ever made in the same set, while at the same time printing horribly ☺☺☺☺ty PW for the other three. Also, Nissa's Chosen is rotating, and reprinting it in a core set makes no sense.
Another possibility is that they don't reprint the original planeswalkers or any of the others. Instead, make new base-color(W////) planeswalkers for the core set, perhaps planning on tying them to future sets. That would definitely sell the set.

Exactly. It will be a 6/6 with a really OP ability but without Valakut or Eldrazi, there won't really be many targets for said ability.
Titans felt like a one-time cycle to me. Precisely because they are doing a core set every year now, they are going to strive to constantly make new mythic headliners to sell the set.
Lightning Bolt is probably still in. Power creep demands that red keeps its ridiculously-costed common. WotC doesn't want to do work in creating another iconic but good red card if they don't have to.
Baneslayer is hard to judge. At first, the reprinting felt like they could still milk her to sell M11, and yes, of course they knew how good she was going to be and imaginary-priced her into the set. But they were probably planning on taking her out since she's too good. Now that BSA has been overshadowed by Titans, it would make sense to keep her since Titans are likely to leave for another mythic cycle.
As for the Lorwyn PWs, I hope they would just make a new cycle, as these have been printed 3 times already in addition to special releases like duel decks and promos. Of course, they might just be lazy again.
I'm pretty sure Jace 2.0 will not be reprinted. Honestly, the card is a cut above every other PW/mythic. Why try to fix the pricing problem when rotation will take care of most of the issues (availability and profile in Standard; I have a hard time envisioning JtMS dominating LOR/SHM block in Extended)?
Cryptic at mythic would be stupid. Nothing even remotely mythic feeling about it.
Cryptic Command would make much more sense than Mindbreak Trap. That's like putting Last Word at mythic rarity. Cryptic is definitely justified to be a mythic rare.

EDH, on the other hand, is more like a monster truck rally. It's more about the spectacle than the race, the games go long, and it's not usually clear who's in the lead until there's only one truck left.*
Single player EDH is like two guys smacking each other with pillows... until one of them pulls out a shotgun.
What strikes me is that these seemingly separate cases can be treated as a single problem.
What if Bolt, BSA and Titans rotated out simultaneously?
Lightning Bolt rotating would hurt the game too much at this point. Creatures have scaled up to match it's power. Heck, we now have arguably stronger variants, in the form of Flame Slash, Galvanic Blast, and arguably Burst Lightning. They all serve the same purpose.
Still, Bolt is the basic removal spell, and going back to Shock or trying to make something new will only end in disappointment.
I think that we won't see Platinum Archangel reprinted. Titans will probably not be reprinted as they shaped the meta way too much, it would hurt the game to have them for longer unless they start to reward more the low curved decks. They said in an article that they were considering to cut Lightning Bolt and Baneslayer Angel in M11 but ultimately decided to keep BSA as they felt they wanted to let players toy with it for one more year as too many people had problems getting a hold of her and people would be fine with it. Lightning Bolt was kept because they felt that red really needed it but the article stated they want to keep the game as versatile as possible and that nothing should be taken for granted.
Both Baneslayer Angel and Lightning Bolt will probably not get reprinted. They mentioned that one wasn't going to be in M11 but ended keeping both so I assume both will go now. The game should be always changing, so "staple" cards should leave. They seem to be scaling back the power creep with Scars.

titans kinda do feel like a one time cycle.
I hope they reprint BSA, but it has been outshadowed by the titans, but if they get rid of the titans, than it would be nice if they kept her.
Honestly, I'd like to see them get rid of most of the planeswalkers. Garruk should stay because he's a good overview of what green does (ramp, make scary creatures and pump them up), but the rest aren't really that iconic. Ajani's lifegain and pump isn't that white, little Jace just draws card, Chandra just does damage and Liliana was just a bad design (tutoring cards is incredibly powerful so they had to give her a high cmc, which plays horribly with the discard).
I'd like to see what they can do with the experience they've gained working with Planeswalkers. Something like Koth would be good in red (representing Red's ability to create temporary attackers, rituals and direct damage), Elspeth in White (representing weenies and pumps) and some new planeswalkers in Blue and Black.
On the topic of Platinum Angel, it probably won't be reprinted. Why? Because we just got Platinum Emperion(would be terrible if it REPLACED the angel though). I'm hoping they keep baneslayer, she is probably one of my favorite cards(besides Sun Titan, but we know they won't reprint him). Lightning Bolt is iffy, since we already have so much decent burn it may not be as big a loss as some people think(and they did seem to cut back power creep in Scars).
Though one idea I have been thinking of is that they may just reprint SOME of the titans. Like if it works in the block it goes with(like m12 will be with Mirrodin, so probably none of the titans. D:). But maybe in a future block, they will reprint the titans in the MX set after.

Lorwyn walkers will stay, but this will probably be the last time we see them, with the next block providing replacements (Sorin Markov and Chandra Ablaze don't seem like good walkers for a core set). The titans were a way to sell M11, keeping them won't really move M12 product all *that* well.
I think Time Reversal will be downgraded to rare, a la Protean Hydra, and we will be seeing Platinum Angel and Gaea's Revenge again as mythics. Baneslayer will go but Bolt probably won't.
that would be a cool idea too
