I'm fairly certain Wizards stated somewhere that the original five PW's were here to stay for a while. And I highly doubt they'll reprint something as dumb as big Jace or Primeval Titan. My guess for m12 is that they'll reprint the 7 that were reprinted from m10 in m11. 5 PWs, Platinum Angel, and BSA.
What I would like to see is a cycle of big, stupid sorceries. But that's another topic. ::awaiting ensuing infraction::
I actually DO see WotC reprinting Jace 2.0, especially after seeing the effect reprinting Baneslayer had. I actually think WotC would perceive a drop in price on Jace 2.0 due to a sudden influx of supply to satiate demand as a positive effect on Standard, not a negative. In fact, I could easily see them purposefully reprinting some of the top end $$$ planeswalkers, one per color, for precisely this reason: to stabilize the prices down to a more reasonable, more widely accessible level.
Quite a bit of the negative feelings towards standard at the moment is the cost of entry for the top tier decks. At least, as a retailer/TO that is my experience.
...so the only planeswalkers ever printed in the history of Magic, in your opinion, should have been the LOR 5? Yeah, no. Stop trolling. That'd be like saying the only Angel that should have ever been printed in the history of Magic is Serra Angel. No other angels. Not even Akroma. Just Serra.
So because I have an opinion that dosnt agree with yours I am a troll.. nice.
Comparing a creature and planeswalkers is like comparing apples and oranges. I do feel they screwed up by making more planeswalkers after the original 5 but they have let that cat out of the bag. It was just a few years ago we played magic without planeswalkers, now people act as if without them its the end of magic. I personally cant wait until JTMS is out of standard. And yes I own a playset so please dont go down the poor magic player road. They have never truely balanced out the planeswalkers and it looks as if they are not even trying. If all 5 colors had equally powered planeswalkers then maybe I would see it different. Until then they should keep printing the original 5 in the core sets.

Nope, like any company WotC will avoid backlash, and that would create insane amounts of backlash. It's those kind of actions that put the reserve list in place many years ago, and look, they went ahead and KEPT the worst part of Magic in the game. So, I doubt they'll reprint many high end planeswalkers. Doesn't mean they won't reprint one, but many? Not going to happen. (at least not for the reason you're providing).
And if people are smart, they'd see the problems with Standard aren't really card prices, it's just Standard.

They should reprint new planeswalker cycle:
Jace 2.0
elspeth 1.0
Koth 1.0
New EVIL black walker or Sorin 1.0
New WILD Green walker or Nissa 1.0
titans should be kept for another year, but baneslayer should be done permanently.
other mythis? well, personally i don't care but if they could reprint command cycle at mythic rarity it would be really fun

or maybe just reprint cryptic command and make new commands for the other colors, like they did with leyline of the void. cryptic was the only super powerful one that would command mythic status anyways.
I'm going on record right now and stating that before the end of 2012 we will see foil dual lands in booster packs (The real, Alpha dual lands). You can quote me on that.
And if people are smart, they'd see the problems with Standard aren't really card prices, it's just Standard.
Aside from Standard being a little blander than I'd like, I don't see much issue with it right now aside from the fact that when I want to build a deck I need to spend 200-400$ on a single playset of any given Walker for the colours.
Cryptic at mythic would be stupid. Nothing even remotely mythic feeling about it.
Cryptic Command is far more epic than Vengevine, Dragonlord, Masticore, Persecutor, Cobra, and so forth...
I don't know about you, but a word of command that can freeze a swarm of creatures in their tracks while breaking a spell, or unsummoning an enemy creature while creating new spells (drawing) for you seems to be a lot more epic than a snake which produces some mana.... Or a plant that regrows... Or some generic large demon... Or a guy who rides a dragon but is pretty much the same as a bunch of other cards, but happens to be mythic...

Even so, it's still not mythic enough. By your logic, every single one of the shards charms should have been a rare. I find that ridiculous.

So picture this... Jace standing on a hill, looking down as a mass of Phyrexian war beasts charge towards him and and in the rear a Phyrexian Demon along the lines of Gix or Croag slings a massive fireball at his location. With a chant and a wave of his hand a wave of blue force emanates from him, freezing everything in its path into icy sculptures and as it hits that massive fireball the fireball melts away into nothingness.
The difference between a Command and a Charm is that a charm is one spell for a higher cost but gives you options, where as a Command is multiple spells at a much lower cost that can all work well together.
Now while I'd rather have all of the mythics be Legends and Walkers only, I would say Commands fall into the same category as Mind Break Trap, Time Reversal, Time Warp, Comet Storm, and so forth.
So you can argue your personal views all you want, but by all indications the Commands can easily qualify for Mythic status based on past trends and such,
Theres no way they'll reprint jace the pay check eater. He's too meta defining where as the other PWs are simply nice compliments to their respective colors. Not everybody plays blue and 2 more years of jace would piss a lot of people off.

The EDH stax primer When you absolutely, positively got to kill every permanent in the room, accept no substitutes.
The titans had better rotate. We don't need years of valakut titan decks.
The original planeswalkers will probably be in every core set for the next few years- wizards is much too attached to the idea of planeswalkers to drop them and the originals are the ones that play best in mono-colored decks without being too powerful. Though if core sets had elspeths and jace 2.0s they would sell like mad...
Umm, Valakut rotates 2.5 months after m12 is released. So nope, no worries of that. Personally I think reprinting the titans would be fine, due to what would be rotating out of the format when they would normally be rotating anyway. The titans without some of the crazy ramp and landfall shenanigans from zendikar wouldnt be nearly as big of an issue. They would still be good, but not as good in most cases. I cannot see the future though, so its hard to say, but I wouldnt be surprised to see them back. Also wouldnt be surprised to see baneslayer back, and I wouldnt be surprised to see a shakeup of the planeswalkers, to at least some different versions in some cases. I dont expect any of the SoM planeswalkers to make an appearance though. I 100% would not be surprised to see Jace 2.0 replace Jace 1.0 as well. The card hasnt broken the format yet, the reprint should bring its price down to more reasonable levels, as well as its availablility.
The 5 are here to stay. They are iconic, they are reasonably powerful, they are a HUGE incentive for fresh players to open packs, and are NOT format-warping. These cards, like Cancel, Bolt, and Day of Judgment, are cards that are the backbone of Standard's cardpool. Sure, only two are constructed viable (Jace 1, who after Jace 2 rotates out will be the premier Blue p/w barring Tezzeret's reappearance, and Garruk), but they are just such an integral part of the core set that I couldn't imagine them changing in M12.
^ Yeah. They might get new art in a few reprints to spice things up, but right now they're just going to stay the way they are. Though Chandra Nalaar is so bad that in a few reprints she's going to go under a dollar

Chandra does see some play in higher curve RDW decks, especially when Baneslayer was the creature to fear. Ajani also saw a reasonable amount of play before Elspeth came along. Liliana is the least playable of the core 5.
I honestly think just the 5walkers and MAYBE Platinum Angel are coming back. No need to keep dragging Baneslayer in. I hope they do another titan-esqe cycle, as they are really good examples of what mythics should be. Powerful, flashy, but not completely dominating, many decks can go without, but many decks use as well.
the truth is i'm a bit tired of core sets every year. M10 was pretty revolutionary. it was great. M11, was basically M10 with titans. they changed limited a bit, but most of it played almost the same, i didnt really need another core this soon. now for M12 to come out, unless they totally revamp it again, ill likely be bored with it.
I could have sworn that I read they were only reprinting Lightning Bolt and Baneslayer this one last time and that they will both probably be gone for M2012. I wouldn't mind seeing a Baneslayer type creature in a different color, though.

I don't think we're going to have the 50% reprint policy like before. I say we keep the five Planeswalkers and the five titans with five new mythics.
I highly, highly doubt they will reprint the five Titans. They must realize how absolutely format-dominating they are. If they do reprint the titans, they will also have a crapton of answers for them.
