Many have been asking for a poll with more option. I have scoured the entire Green Icon thread for every serious option/suggestion.
The purpose of this poll is to significantly lessen the majority of last poll's votes of "something else."
I for one choose primordial. They are paragons of nature itself.
And in the original excerise i posted of imagining each icon locked in a colliseum in timmy combat, I think primordial can obliterate any other icon
Edit: i know this is an extensive poll list, but the number of people who responded to Jsmooth73's thread shows that people are interested in Green's icon.
Also, if you vote for something else please post what it is that you wanted(besides elves).
Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.

I still say that Nymph should be a seperate creature type from Dryad and that it should be the iconic creature type. None of the previous ones have worked so far. Just having it be a phisically huge creature like Wurm or Beast is going to in the future. Both of those are just too generic. Instead they should have an iconic creature that is physically small but it still incredible in power simular to how Angels don't have to be much bigger than an average human (not counting the wings) yet they are the iconic creature for white. Nymphs (if done right) can be the personfications of everything that is green. If Green is going to have an iconic creature type it needs a creature type that is flexable like that instead of just being big and dumb.
BTW, I think this poll should have been puplic so that everybody could see how everybody else voted. Too late now though.

Yea sorry about that but i already maxed out the options(30 max) lol and the person in the last thread who talked about nymphs (it mite be you i just don't remember) only mentioned nymphs as "dryad/nymphs" sooooooo.
I think at least like 97% of posters will be more satisfied with these options

It was me and at the time I did sort of lump them together only to get brushed off without much consideration by those who argued that Dryads are too defined right now as small creatures with landwalking abilities. That was a mistake on my part that I don't intend to repeat. If Nymphs were a seperate creature type, like how Sirens apparnently arn't Merfolk, then they would be a creature type that basically starts with a mechanical clean slate. This would allow them to be molded with the gameplay mechanics that they would need to become the green iconic race. I wasn't complaining about the poll in that regard (puplic would have been nice) but instead was clarifiying my arguement.
This poll is a lot more comprehensive. I'm glad someone decided to put it up (I was thinking about it, but too late ^^).
I voted Titan, though I could also go for Primordial as a second choice, essentially being different words for the same concept. An embodiment of the forces of nature full of ancient wisdom and power.
...a lot of those aren't even creature types in Magic.
Which is part of the beauty of those types.
I still voted Chimera. They are big, powerful, and beastly without being "beasts".
They don't all have to be stupid hulks. (see Full Metal Alchemist)
The last (and only) time we have seen the chimera type was in Visions.
The ability of the Visions chimeras can easily be ignored because all 4 of them are artifact creatures and not green creatures.
I just don't see any big issues with Chimera.

I voted for Chimera. I love the idea of huge green critters that are amalgams of the best parts other powerful creatures. They would have the benefits of all, and probably be super-sized as well.
Primordials is a good choice too, but seems more generic.
I had to vote for something else, and that something else was elves. I like elves, and llanowar elves itself is practically a staple in any mono green deck.
I would have chosen elves if this was for CHARACTERISTIC creature types
Since this is for ICONIC, I chose avatars. I know they've been cyclical so far, but looking at things like Heedless One you could have a huge variety of creature avatars, as well as avatars of an ideal (like Avatar of Might.) Creature avatars fit every other creature type listed, and avatars of ideals can be crafted to be a primordial, titantic force.

As for it feeling kind of generic, that is kind of the point. A creature type like Angel doesn't have any mechanical baggage (other than flying), while a creature type like Hydra does (since the multi-heads thing is what makes them special). Primordials are a generic word for an ultra-powerful elemental that only green has access to.
Split between Wurm and Behemoth.
Went with Behemoth, since I think a conventional gigantic beast with legs will look better than a conventional gigantic beast without legs.

They only significant thing about them is that they're big, other than that 90% of their cards are vanilla.
