Since faeries is gone and the u/w control seems to be punching into top tier and not going anywhere, you think in M11 they will reprint a "new" sable stag that targets the "new" control kid on the block?

Besides speculation on cards, what cards could you see being printed/brought back to help out the sideboard against some of the dominate decks?
Not sure if a new color hoser is really necessary, but I agree with the above poster in that it definitely feels like black could use a boost in the form of Damnation or something similar. Consume the Meek isn't looking like it's cutting it.
No deck today is as powerful as Faries was back when M10 was out. We may see some anti-Jund cards in M11. I doubt you'll see a new color hoser though, since Jund can be beat in other ways.
Anarchy, Chill, Choke, Light of Day and Perish should be reprinted at the same time. It would make things a lot more interesting. Every deck would have an answer to another deck.
Great Stable Stag wasn't just a Faerie hoser, it was a Blue Black hoser because those two color combination have been good for quite some time. I doubt we will see it in M11 though since it has served it purpose.
Also, I doubt we will see specific anti-Jund cards. There are however plenty of subtle ways to target Jund and still be relevant 3 months later then Standard rotates. i.e. Price of Progress, Rule of Law, Humility.

Some time ? Before faeries there was teachings but before teachings what else was there ? Not to mention GSS wasn't in the same standard that had teachings.

Humility is on the reserve list if you were citing that as a specific possibility of returning.

God, I hope we get more creative answers than that. At least it's possible to play around Great Sable Stag.
Red's not going to get a Sable Stag, because that's not what Red does. Green has always "found a way", as that's nature's....nature. It's sort of a subtle part of Green's pie that it can get "hoser"-style creatures. White gets this as a secondary ability because of its protection theme, hence things like Firewalker. Red hasn't had a straight color hoser since Boil and Flashfires, which were from a different era (and Akroma I guess, but that was Planar Chaos so I don't count that).

Blue-black is the strongest 2-color combo over pretty much the entire history of the game, as a whole, driven primarily by blue having been the best color for a majority of Magic's existence, and black always having provided the best sources of the things blue does badly (like deal with creature permanents, non-counter disruption, etc).
I'm not exaclty sure how Unstable Footing stops Kor Firewalker.
Yes you can target me if I have a Kor Firewalker out but I'm still going to gain 1 life for each red spell you play. Unstable Footing can't target creatures and even if you had cast Unstable Footing you still can't Lightning Bolt a firewalker because you still can't target it with a red spell.

Don't tell me you're not gonna EVER block with that pro red creature of yours?
It would be nice for red to actually get some sort of hoser for white, especially against Kor Firewalker without having to run clunky cards like Unstable Footing and Smoldering Spires, or having to over the top with a leveled Kargan Dragonlord.
If white can always seem to get cruel hosers against red, I don't see why red can't get the same.
I'm a UWr player and over regionals i had a conversation with a jund player after a game where i pulled a win after 3 Bloodbraid Elfs
"Must be nice to draw 3 Bloodbraid Elfs"
"Must be nice to draw 3 Ajani and 2 Jace, Thats why i like Elf so much, because if it wasn't in the format, every deck would need to play blue"
The relevance to this thread is this:
YES, next season, and in general jace will be INCREDAGOOD, probobly pushing $130 as the outcome, and other colors will need something to be balanced with it, so i believe that even a pro blue/white Trained Armadon is still relevant, that can't be Journied O'ring'd or Pathed, killed by gideon, can block gideon all day, get by elspeth dudes, can't be bounced by jace, or next season ousted. It would be the nuts, and probobly better than stag was against faeries (Faeries could race it all day, i've raced DOUBLE stable stag before, and no it wasn't some random scrub).
Also, you can quote me on this, I graduate on June 24th, by then Jace will be atleast $100, gideon around $60 too.
Don't tell me when i swing with a Goblin Guide, that somehow, your going to block and hope that red mana I have untapped is just a bluff?
I would if I'm playing in the control (as opposed to the aggro, for those who know the theory of "Who's the Aggro?"), which pretty much every deck is against RDW, and have no other creatures to block with, particularly if you've played a Goblin Bushwhacker or Teetering Peaks this turn.

Thing is, even with cruelhosers around, red has always found a way to punch through. RDW sometimes just, wins. The same can't be said for WW. And until recently, white has just been bland.

(especially allies)
Blue have smaller evaders
White stop getting everything.
black hard to kills or back from the deads
green seems good
red seems on track for fun stuff.
Like to see them continue Levelers but redesign the layout.

Red decks can not play around kor firewalker. If red is going to be the subject of an extreme color hoser then other colors should be as well.

Goblin Piledriver would like a word with you. Hell-Bent Raider while janky does have pro-white also.
Also Blood Knight, but I'm sure most people will discount that one because it was from Time Spiral block.
But yeah, I don't see red getting a GSS either, as useful as it might be.

Back on topic, maybe not a card as powerful as GSS, but another cycle of the Knights with first strike/pro may be nice...

Also, just btw, Pyroclasm, Earthquake, and Chain Reaction all say hi.
If such a color hoser was printed, though, it would need to have flying. Even if Walletslayer isn't reprinted, there's still Iona and Jar Jar Sphinx.
