It seems to make sense that Zendikar is Garruck's native plane, given the depths of the Oran-Rief Vastwood filled with all sorts of beasts to tame. Seems very obvious to me Garruck will be making an appearance in this block, likely Jace in Worldwake then Garruck himself in Rise.
yeah those baloths are clearly otairian baloths, seeing as they look exactly like the original Enormous Baloth. so I doubt he is going to be in this block.
Btw anyone notice the cute little baby baloths in the end of the comic? :3

a small sentence for you to read while you ignore my post.
Garruk is chasing after Liliana to get un-cursed. Someone has probably speculated that she'll show up too, but a trip to Zendikar would probably be the last thing on his mind at this point.
I'm sure new Garruk and Liliana cards are coming, it might be interesting to see how Garruk would deal with an artificial plane like Mirrodin.

I was actually hoping someone would bring this topic up, because I can't wait to return to dominaria to see his past come to fruition.

-This signature intentionally left blank to increase general intrigue and mystery-
awww i hadn't noticed those adorable lil baloths!!! nice touch wizards.
as far as garruk in zen goes....SUPER unlikely, almost completely since if you look at other threads here you can see Jace is pretty much confirmed to be the new planeswalker. I would laugh if it turned out to be garruk though and they mind twist ed all of us. he is one of peoples favorite walkers.....pretty much impossible though

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
I'm always leery of this. I mean, are there guides that say "Baloths from plane X are 1 and 2, baloths from plane Y are 3 and 4!"? I personally doubt it. So I think that it was just a random drawing of a baloth taken from what we know. After all, it's not in Wizard's alley to be -that- subtle. I mean, the first clue to Garruk's origin would be to check the coat of arms on the soldiers' chests. God, I wish this was a Game of Thrones. We could just look at the coat, go "That's house Martell" and be done with it.

[I was permabanned and all I got to show for it was .... well, nothing.]
couple of things... firstly that looks like enormous baloth which is dominarian i believe... secondly i thought Garruk was from Ravnica? or was it he just planeswalked there once and vowed never to go back? this makes me think he dominarian though.
While I do see a resemblance to Baloth Woodcrasher it looks much more like Enormous Baloth. Look at the picture on page two of the comic and the card art side by side. The head is in almost the same position.
I frankly think we have more than enough Planeswalkers on Zendikar as it is right now. Sorin, Nissa, and Chandra were all in Zen. We are getting at least one more in Worldwake, probably Jace, and Sarkan is there as well.
Garruk and Lillana have their own story going on right now none of which has had anything to do with Zendikar except telling Jace that's where his map leads. Not every Planeswalker story has to merge with the curent card sets.
We haven't seen Elspeth since she walked away from her own story.

Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.

Don't forget that Jace is involved in the Curse of the Chain Veil story, as well as Sarkhan (periphereally) and Bolas, who WANTS the veil.
(It's all covered in the CotCV product page on wizards and amazon)
The fact that Jace is going to Zendikar has me leery and it had BETTER have something to do with his quest to help Liliana. If he just shows up there for no damn reason I am going to be sick.

krosa is decayed, so that's kinda, out. Wirewood? maybe, seems suspicious though, especially with no elves in sight yet.
It IS possible that with the rifts, some otarian baloths got placed in other planes.

Jace,Garruk,Lillana,Sarkhan,Bolas All show up in CotCV
Jace is confirmed to show up on Zen. Sarkan has been shown on Zen.
So now Garruk,Lillana, and Bolas are all also going to show up on Zen.
I'm with you that Jace better have a good reason to be on Zen. My guess is something for the Consortium.
We will probably see Lillana again when we visit the home plane of the demon that she made the deal with.

Garruk lost his spark from liliana's curse????????? No?
Uhh.... no? He's cursed, then planeswalks to Ravnica.
Edit: Also, on something like the second panel, he says he's planeswalked all over the multiverse chasing down Liliana, I doubt the curse has destroyed his spark.

While I don't think Zendikar is his home plane, I do believe he's expected to make a possible appearance in this set.
