With the knowledge of the Landfall mechanic in Zendikar, has anyone thought about a reprint of Crucible of Worlds?
It seems like it would fit, as it assists players in playing land, which can trigger the landfall abilities of various cards. This is obviously something players enjoy doing, and I think it would see a lot more play in Zendikar Standard than in Lorwyn-Shards Standard.
Oh, I use Crucible to play Terramorphic Expanse from my graveyard, sacrifice it for a Forest. Then I use Knight of the Reliquary to take another Terramorphic, and sacrifice for another land.
If Rampaging Baloths was in play, you've got a set of 4 tokens coming in every turn.
Crucible was present in 10th, and made pretty much 0 Standard impact. It was absent from M10, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it return in Zendikar with new art.
Thoughts?

I don't see why not... The only infinite interaction with current cards would be with Gargoyle Castle, and that would be tapping out every turn after turn 6 to create a gargoyle.
The interesting thing is how to fit it into the flavor of Zendikar - is it a treasure or is it a global force? Do the lands die and come back to life with use of this tool?

It's impossible to create an infinite combo with it period. You can only play 1 land per turn.
That said, I don't think we'll see this happening while Knight of the Reliquary is in standard.
Anyway Crucible + knight of the reliquary + terramorfic expense would create a very good deck basis
Terramorfic + crucible would make landfall trigger twice per turn (once for terramorfic, one for the land that was fetche), up to 4 time with the knight , so I think it would be to strong to see it hapen.
dont think crucible will come back if the set is lathered with lands that go to the graveyard to give a beni like gargoyle c. it seems it would be just too powerful, and in limited if you drop it, you would probabaly win from the card advantage. a functional reprint would be cool though, but if there is a lot of sac lands then it would be joined with reliquary and the knight would blow up again

Then you throw in Sedris, The Traitor King to give the Knight unearth so you can bring it back, witch amounts to two times per knight. Throw in a playset of Knight and thats 8 4/4 tokens right there.
I got mine when Conflux first came out, and I'm excited that they might actualy be relevant for competitive play. I also think that Terramorphic Expanse will become used way more in competition than it is now.

Hm, I didn't realize it was in 10th. I guess it isn't quite as silly without artifact lands.

I did, however, order my set of Knights to abuse with Landfall...
