I think Banefire. It seems likely to finish the color cycle before doing a multicolored card ie Red and Green since we already have Wrath of God for white Damnation for black and Cryptic Command for blue.
Come on maelstrom pulse...banefire would be fine too just either of those and I'll be happy. I'm so glad I didn't get any cryptic's last mailing so I'm due to get some foils this mailing.
They won't do bloodbraid elf they've never done a creature on a textless mailing and it will stay that way. FNM prizes are for creatures, mailings are for sorceries and instants.
I hope for textless they do esper charm and negate alongside maelstrom pulse I want a foil one so bad with alternate art.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."

Why is that, though? I personally believed that the thought was that a creature would have too many details you'd need to remember...But then they printed Cryptic Command as textless. There's no way I would explain what that card does with a straight face to someone who has never read the original printing with the text...So, while you're probably right about this, to me, the printing of textless Cryptics makes me believe that a textless permanent is just a little more likely.

Who knows what the future holds? I can say however that for the most part, creatures arent as impacting and iconic as spells GENERALLY SPEAKING. Cryptic defined the metagame through it's whole standard run. Cruel Ult. is another card that EVERYONE knows what it does. Cameleon Coll. is another good creature most people know but it really is forgetable. IMO the last creature printed that was worthy of textless status was Kokusho and now maybe Tarmogoyf. For the most part the most powerful effects are spells because they only happen once per casting. Creatures tend to hang out for a bit
What about Path to Exile textless??? Banefire is most likely, Maelstrom is also strong, Cruel Ultimatum... I don't know, what about Martial Coup? And though they've never done it, if creatures would come I would say Rafiq, or Noble Heirarch and even Broadmate Dragon.

I agree with you that spells are generally more iconic, and I agree that everyone knows what the spells do--for the most part. But yeah, I suppose I can totally get behind that as a reason. All I could come up with on my own was the idea that the spells they were printing at textless are usually simpler than remembering the abilities, perhaps the P/T, and creature type of a creature with no text.
There's also the fact that you pretty much only need to know what spells do when they resolve (and when you Tseize, etc.), while creatures stay on the board for a while. Though Bloodbraid Elf IS simple enough (specially if they put P/T) for it's effects to be pretty much only relevant upon casting.
Creatures staying on the board shouldn't impact whether or not you're knowledgeable of your own cards, should it? If you look, though, there's quite a bit you need to know about some of the textless spells as they resolve...For instance, I've forgotten more than once that creatures hit by Incinerate can't be regenerated. One might not realize that the converted mana cost of Flame Javelin is 6. Without looking right now, I can't tell you the order of the modes on Cryptic Command, and I can't remember if the "Tap all creatures" effect targets an opponent or taps all creatures opponents control. I know people have been saying that Cruel Ultimatum could make a good textless spell. I also don't know the order of the effects on Cruel Ultimatum, and the only reason I know Cruel Ultimatum doesn't target a player is because of the numerous posts that have been made about how you can't Swerve it if you're playing 1-on-1. Each one of those could be important in a game, and maybe it's just me, but I don't expect most people to know most of that information offhand. But they printed Cryptic and that shook up my concept of how they were doing textless cards, so anything's possible to me.
Plus, the permanents issue could be fixed if Wizards ever decided to do the premium MPR cards like the extended-art cards of Doran or Mutavault.

I've kinda been having a feeling that Terminate and/or Zealous Persecution are going to get the Textless treatment...
And if the foil is from ARB, and they are trying to keep them playable like they did with Cryptic, I could possibly see Maelstrom Pulse as the foil.
Thought/ideas?
I know they have not printed a permenant but rules are made to be broken etc...
Elspeth, knight errant
[card]
Rafiq of the Many
[/card]
Pulse (foil)
Esper Charm
Blitumous Blast
Personally I hope for Maelstrom Pulse as it's more versatile and will be much more likely to see play in most formats and decks
As for textless non-foil, blightning has been done so my guess for it will be volcanic fallout
C Standard C
UW Delver Blade
UBW Esper Control
S Legacy S
URGW Forty Two Control
UBR Past in Tendrils
C Commander C
UB Sygg, River Cutthroat

Possible textless spells:
1) Volcanic Fallout
2) Bituminous Blast
3) Bant Charm
4) Esper Charm
Possible Foil spells:
1) Banefire (Most likely choice)
2) Maelstrom Pulse
3) Silence
4) Cruel Ultimatum

The reason Planeswalkers and Creatures, or permanents in general, don't get printed as textless is because they have reminders.
Planeswalkers:
Starting Loyalty?
Costs of it's abilities?
Creatures:
P/T?
P/T when a spell or ability resolves?
Upkeep effects?
See where I'm going with this.
You cast a spell, done, it's over.
You play a permanent, you have reminders, other costs, triggers, etc.
Thanks to Heroes of the Plane Studios for the amazing sig.
