Since the Shards of Alara intro packs contain 10ed cards in addition to Shards of Alara cards, and those intro pack will still be on sale when 11th edition rolls in, are those cards almost guaranteed to be 11th?
I had the exact same question. And if I had to give an answer, it would be 'yes'. Of course, if somebody asks R&D they're gonna say "who knows? Only time will tell" or some unofficial, unprofessional bullcrap like that.
Well, that's what I speculate.
They'll leave the intro packs the way they are until the next release and start working 11th cards into the first set's intro packs after 11th comes out. They won't spend money retooling print sheets for preconstructed decks to tweak old product that won't sell much, if at all, anymore. If that means some intro packs from old sets have old core cards in them, so be it. At that point, it's old set product, you're just getting two different old sets in one pack.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
I'd have to say that those 10th edition cards will be in 11th edition. It's only my theory but these intro packs are intended to sell to beginners. If the 10th edition cards didn't get printed in 11th, now the beginner will not only have a deck thats 20 cards shy of constructed but will also have illegal cards in it (not very noob friendly). Now on the other hand, as Annorax stated, when 11th edition comes out, Shards of Alara will be old product but it won't be that old. I'd expect beginners to still be buying Shards of Alara intro packs after 11th.
Well, i suppose its safe to say that YES they are going to reprint those cards since its very weird for RD to make a product that will be left "out of place" when 11th comes online. on the other hand, we also thought that RD would never come into such a dark place that is introducing a fourth rarity in magic, but here we are with mystic rares so its kind of a flip a coin here, really. Mana clashreprint anyone?
It's not safe to say at all. No Alara block product will be an "active" SKU when 11th Edition is released. As such, these will all be "old news" and nothing in them will reflect at all on the contents of the new set.
There's no reason whatsoever to think that they did the extra work of picking coreset cards to use in these decks, and doing the extra work of making sure they were coreset cards that would also appear in 11th, when there's no reason that they would have to.
