So one of the results for the orb of insight shows that '100' appears once in Eventide. What the hell could it be? If it was in a cardname, wouldn't it be written out a la 'one hundred'? Would they use a numeral like that in flavor text?
Yeah, I can't think of anything else that could easily reach 100 and be easily countable. It could be something like "combined power and toughness of all creatures" or "combined manacost of all permanents in play", but those would be painfully annoying to keep track of.
Here are some orb numbers

I doubt it would have anything to do with deck size. They've been supporting EDH like crazy and a card like "you win the game if your deck is 100 cards" would be dumb dumb dumb. My guess is it's something really useless and expensive.

They could print something that has a drawback of "You lose the game if your deck is less than 100 cards", though. That would be an interesting new take on it, and would work in formats like the one you mentioned.
Good Call...
I'm going for the idea that the 100 implies a greater moss-bridge troll, but doubtful because it would be +100.
so instead im hedgeing my bets on it being life total.(which consequently in our multiplayer games isn't that far fetched...heh)
PS: Hey smiley, throw me down a rope...
Well both of those PK3 cards were probably used that way to represent something in Chinese mythology or certain events.
I also notice that both would be extremely long using the proper name.
Borrowing One Hundred Thousand Arrows 2U (That would require some text shrinkage.)
Guan Yu's One Thousand-Li March 4WW (Not as bad but still quite long especially with a 4WW casting cost.)
They won't put 100 on a mana cost it will give instant kills for erratic explosion.
Plus it has a lot of other implications that can be dangerous with certain card interactions.
Indeed, all of the casual combos with Gleemax work here, 1000000 damage/creatures/life is fantastic, but 100 is usually sufficient (especially since it's a "real" non-Unhinged card).
Maybe its a variant of Battle of Wits with 100 cards in the library but no win the game clause, you get some other ridiculous bonus.

Sorcery
Draw 100 cards.
Smart Guy

Sorcery
If you have 100 or more cards in your library, take an extra turn after this one.
I can see the drawing 100 cards being possible.
It can also be gain 100 life. Or discard 100 cards from the top of your library - do something.
:symrw::symrw::symrw: (or whatever)
Sorcery
Up to 100 target creatures each get a -1/-1 counter.
or
:symbw::symbw::symbw: (or whatever)
Instant
Prevent up to the next 100 damage to you this turn.
This seems lame though and serves little purpose other than having a strange result in the Orb.
up - 2

Edit:
A different dumb idea:
Mana Burn Birds
:symtap:: Add 100 to your mana pool. This mana cannot be used for activated abilities or for costs involving :xmana:.
Unless you count 1996 World Champion which was kind of a special circumstance.

One-Hundred Eyes of Smashyman
Borrowing 100,000 Arrows is a card name. I think that 100 would be spelled out in a card title though.
Edit: Guan Yu's 1,000-Li March (boy was P3K wacky!), Land Aid '04
I am willing to believe Hat's here and say that the 100 is in the name of the card.
Do we know if "Year" or "years" are in the orb? (Cannot access it here at work. ><)
Nope, they sure aren't. I tried other things took, like hours, minutes, weeks, months, days, choices, questions, heads, fathoms... all nothing.

Simple, safe, not very abusable, and enough wow factor to make new players coo with joy.

100 Things With Really Rediculously Long Names
Probable?
Indeed, all of the casual combos with Gleemax work here, 1000000 damage/creatures/life is fantastic, but 100 is usually sufficient (especially since it's a "real" non-Unhinged card).
Examples: Artifact Mutation, Bosh, Iron Golem, Infernal Genesis, Reviving Vapors, Riddle of Lightning
How to get it into play? Copper Gnomes, Eureka, Fist of Suns, Tinker
Monkey Cage
Torrent of Fire
Accelerated Mutation
Reward the Faithful
I find that card REALLY hilarious with Monkey Cage. Hey, 100 monkeys! This is more fun than... well, you know.
In all seriousness, I very much doubt the "100" will appear in a cost, whether it's a casting cost or an activation cost for an ability.
Sorcery
Each player's life total becomes 100.
"Ok, now I play Shahrazad and double Fork it."
Good point. Your card would be a Johnny only card then (perhaps Timmy, if new ways were made to sneak it out).
