I recently posted some fantasy Planeswalkers in another thread, and was thinking about (and hoping for) a new "You Make The Card" contest, because this would give the greater magic community a chance to design a Planeswalker card. This thread is for people to post Planeswalker cards that they would like to see as the result of a new "You Make The Card" contest.
Here's my fantasy multicolor Planeswalkers I posted in that other thread...
Dorigeus Bloodcloud
3RU
Planeswalker-Dorigeus Bloodcloud
+2: Creatures you control gain Flying and Haste until end of turn.
-X: Return X non-Planeswalker permanents at random to their owner's hands. For each permanent returned to your hand this way, put two loyalty counters on Dorigeus Bloodcloud.
-9: Put any number of permanents in your hand into play. All creatures put into play this way gain Flying, Haste, Shroud and Doublestrike until end of turn.
Loyalty 4
Tresi Purepath
3WG
Planeswalker-Tresi Purepath
+0: Search your library for a land card, reveal it, and put that card into your hand. If that land is basic, put two loyalty counters on Tresi Purepath.
-3: Destroy target Artifact or Enchantment. Target creature you control gains +3/+3 and Vigilance until end of turn. Gain 3 life.
-12: Search your library for any number of land cards and put those cards into play, then shuffle your library. For each land put into play this way, put a 3/3 colorless Elemental creature token with Trample, Vigilance and Lifelink into play.
Loyalty 6
And here's a new one...
Rivia Ven
3WR
Planeswalker-Rivia Ven
+1:Target player sacrifices a permanent. If an artifact is put into a graveyard this way, put a loyalty counter on Rivia Ven.
-3:Rivia Ven Deals X damage to target opponent, where X is the number of lands that opponent controls.
-8:Remove all permanents from the game. You gain life equal to the number of artifacts, enchantments and lands removed from the game this way.
Loyalty-4
I'm looking forward to seeing what kinds of Planeswalker designs are floating around in your heads.
Here's some concepts I was toying around with based on past Planeswalkers...
Teferi Reignited
UUUUU
Planeswalker- Teferi Reignited
+1: Until your next turn, opponents cannot play instant spells.
-2: Put a Planeswalker card in your hand into play.
-6: Sacrifice Teferi Reignited: Until your next turn, counter all spells. Search you library for a card named Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and put that card into play, then draw a card for each Planeswalker and Legendary permanent you control.
Loyalty 4
Karn, God of Metal
5
Planeswalker- Karn, God of Metal
+1: Target non-creature artifact becomes an X/X artifact creature until end of turn, where X is its casting cost.
-3: Creatures your opponents control gain Defender until your next turn.
-7: Search your library for any number of Legendary artifacts and put those cards into play.
Loyalty 5
Samir, Cytosavant 2UG
Planeswalker - Samir
+1: Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature.
-1X: Put a +1/+1 counter on X target creatures. Those creatures lose all abilities, become 0/0, and have graft.
-7: All creatures you control are indestructible. Sacrifice Samir, Cytosavant.
Loyalty 4

They are ridiculously powerful... LOL
Chandraa is probably crying in a dark corner somewhere.
Did you think of something going this way :
Igor Pawnu 1
+1 : You win the game.
-1 : Target opponent lose the game.
-X : X target opponents lose the game.
Loyalty : 50
I mean... come on... at least try doing something fun!
For my part, I would like to see something like this... mwahahahaha.
Kirby Starhero 1GU
Planeswalker - Kirby
+2 : Each player may put a creature into play from his hand.
-1 : Kirby become a copy of target creature until end of turn (it is not a planeswalker anymore).
-5 : Gain control of target creature.
Loyalty : 2
Then, with this card, you can do ridiculous things like :
Turn 1 : Land, Birds of Paradise
Turn 2 : Land, Kirby Starhero - Use the ability, put a bogardan Hellkite into play (then mostly burn what the opponent put into play).
Turn 3 : Land, Kirby becomes a copy of the Hellkite, swing for 10.
Turn 4 : Land, Swing for 10 again.
But then again, it start with a loyalty of 2... so it's not that broken.
Sjordek Maldebreh :2mana::symw::symr:
Planeswalker- Sjordek
[+3]: Tap all plains or all mountains you control. If you tapped four or or more lands in this way, Sjordek Maldebreh deals 4 damage to target creature or player and you gain 4 life.
[-1]: Choose one- You gain three life or Sjordeck deals two damage to target creature.
[-11]: Target player chooses four permanents they control and sacrifices the rest.
{[2]}
So is this a contest, or what?
I made this one for the SDC round 6, which is currently on hiatus...
Jokl Oylblud 1BB
Planeswalker - Jokl {[3]}
+1: Remove target card in a graveyard from the game. If it's a creature card in your graveyard, return it to your hand instead.
-1: Search your library for up to two cards and put them into your graveyard. Shuffle your library.
-5: Return your graveyard to your hand.
Such a bomb in the late game. Not so hot in the early.
Seriously guys, why isn't this thread here. It isn't as if people are discussing the future possibilities of planeswalkers. No, instead you are having a contest where you make and I would assume eventually vote for the best card. That isn't what this board is for however that is exactly what that board is for.
This thread is for people to post Planeswalker cards that they would like to see as the result of a new "You Make The Card" contest.
This thread itself is not a contest. It is fun to post fantasy Planeswalkers though. I'm a little new posting on this site, so maybe this thread does belong elsewhere, so I'll just have to ask forgiveness for that and hope that this thread isn't getting in the way of more serious speculation.
Let's toss this into the mix... Do you folks think that WOTC will hold another "You Make The Card" contest soon? Would they allow the public to create a Planeswalker though that contest?
The Froslith idea could easily be made into a non-ability walker cycle.
Blue Froslith 4UU
At the beginning of your upkeep, draw a card for each of ~'s loyalty
8
Red Froslith 3RR
Whenever ~ is dealt damage, ~ deals that much damage to each creature and each player sacrifices that many lands.
9
Green Froslith 4GG
Creatures you control get +X/+X and trample, where X is ~'s loyalty.
7
Black Froslith 3BB
At the beginning of each player's upkeep, they sacrifice a permanent for each of ~'s loyalty.
5
Other interesting options that could be explored with walkers:
Abilities that any player could play.
Extremely large effects that couldn't be put on creatures due to the many ways to sneak them into play (reanimation, etc).
Splits of walker abilities and "normal" abilities (a froslith/regular hybrid)
Walker abilities that can be played as instants (would require some rules editing)
Walkers that share types (artifact walkers, land walkers, creature walkers, enchantment walkers, etc)
Something like:
Walker Creature 2GG
Planeswalker Creature - ~
~'s power and toughness is equal to it's loyalty.
+2: ~ gains trample until the end of your turn.
-X: Put a creature with a converted mana cost of X into play from your hand.
4
Heeyyyy!!! Have you ever notice that the card Jaya Ballard, Task Mage it is really showing us a PW card, so maybe we can have this:
Jaya Ballard
Planeswalker-Jaya
+1: Destroy target blue permannent
-2: Jaya Ballard deals 3 damage to target creature or player. A creature dealt damage this way can't be regenerated this turn.
-7: Jaya Ballard deals 6 damage to each creature and each player.
What about a planeswalker with morph? Flavor-wise, you get the whole 'normal being's spark igniting' thing. Something like:
Man of Tomorrow
Planeswalker ~
~ is black
Morph: Pay X Life
When ~ is turned face up, put X loyalty counters on ~ where X is equal to the amount of life paid.
{+1}: Lose 1 life
{-1}: Draw a card
{-Y}: Destroy target non-land permanent with CMC Y.
{[X]}
I dunno, it may be too powerful as is, what with no color requirement. I do like the idea of morph though. I would love to see some other peoples takes on this, as I have never attempted any kind of design before...
Tresi Purepath
3WG
Planeswalker-Tresi Purepath
+0: Search your library for a land card, reveal it, and put that card into your hand. If that land is basic, put two loyalty counters on Tresi Purepath.

Loyalty 6
this is much to broken. here are the reasons:
yes, the first ability doesnt initially grant you any loyalty...there is only a chance of it....but that chance can be abused to no extent. one card makes it too good, and thats Rings of Brighthearth. use first abilty, pay 2 mana to copy it, search your library for 2 basic land, and put 4 loyalty counters on Tresi. if this guy/girl is alive for more than 2 turns, you pretty much win, cuz you then use the last abilty to search out all your land (leaving is land-less, so all you draw is what you need) and then you have 10+ creatures. then the fact that they dont have haste means your opponant can respond to them before an attack, but thats really only a Damnation/***/Austre Command, etc, etc...
yup, well thats my 2 cents...i just had to say something about it before i forgot what my arguement was.
"Splitting Headache"

A train leaves boston at 9:00 am traveling west at 63.5 mph...
... If you can determine, without the use of a calculator, what approximate longitude and lattitude the 2 trains will meet at in the midwest put a 1/1 Freaking Genius token into play under your control."
How hard do we have to work now a days for a little value in this game? ;p
aleksandra sparkheart
CC: 1RR
Planeswalker-Aleksandra
+1 : put a 1/1 red goblin token into play.
-1 : put a 3/1 red elemental token into play with haste and has "at the end of turn, remove this creature from the game."
-6 : put a 5/5 red dragon token with flying into play.

as long as Froslith is in play, you may not be the target of spells or abillities and prevent all damage dealt to you

its like another player taking the hits for a while different idea, but its kinda cool i think
