What groundless hopes or unfounded speculations do you have about FS? I actually had a dream last night that they rumored or unveiled a ninja. I mean, I know it was just a dream, but dreams could be precognitive.. can't they? <_<;
I also hope that they don't continue the color pie raping for this set, because I know everyone will be saying "OMG TEH CHANGE IS PERMANENT; IT'S IN FUTURE SIGHT!!!"
Anyone else have any groundless, unfounded ideas or hopes about FS?

Getting the last word does not mean that you win the argument.
I'm fairly certain those are bloated pre-ascendant Orzhov Patriarchs. Speaking of which, how about this: Future Sight will make WB Control viable.
It was viable for a while recently Solar X decks were primarily WB with a blue splash and Ghost Dad was quite dominant for a while

From MaRo
Every rarity gets good cards. That means that some mythic rares will be tournament quality as will some commons, some uncommons and some rares. My promise wasn't that mythic rares wouldn't get good cards but that we wouldn't limit the good cards to only being mythic rare.
Bear this in mind the next time a powerful mythic rare is spoiled
Thanks to chaostheory90 for finding this quiz for me
Elspeth "we must fight to protect order and justice!"
Tezzeret "No! he will break all my artifacts and stomp my head!"
Vol "powerful dragon must be brought to heel!"
Ajani "**** this Im outta *planeswalks to lorwyn* wow what hell is this place?"
Little lorwyn goblin "this be the place of bad art and Tribes!!!"
All other Alara planeswalkers "hey where did ajani go???"
They probably wouldn't make some more pink cards, because you could say you are playing a pink deck, and people would not know if you were playing boros or a mono pink deck.

With all, put the same thing except with / in front of what type of tags they are (like [/card]) to close them.
Card: [card]
Hybrid: :symub: = order doesn't matter
I doubt them making a new colour. It just would be damn ridiculous. Then old players who just came back to magic would be going "WTF?!? THIS MAKES NO F****** SENSE!" and would hate wizards even more than they already did for printing so few shocklands and other stuff like that.

Just a hunch, but I think WotC will introduce card(s) that can hose the Split-Second Mechanic. It seems too powerful to leave in Block & Extended without providing an answer in the FS set.
For example
Screw You Split Second #1
Artifact 1
All Split-Second spells cost an additional 3 to play
In addition, I think we'll see more cards to use the Suspend and Vanishing mechanics. It just seems like there is too much meat on those mechanics for WotC to ignore, but not enough to warrant re-visiting them in a future expansion.
Finally, I expect to see at least one cycle of cards that effects vary based on the number of Suspend/Vanish cards in play. For Example
Suspended Shock R
Instant
Common
Suspended Shock dose X damage to target creature or player. X is the number of cards suspended out of play plus the number of cards with vanishing counters.
or
Super Suspended Shock 3RR
Instant
Rare
Super Suspended Shock dose X damage to target creature or player. X is the total number of suspend and vanishing counters on all cards.

:mad1: "It's as true today as when I started adventuring: 'When in doubt, set something on fire.'" ~ Belkar:mad1:
I think they'll somehow combine the Suspend and Vanishing mechanics on single cards to replicate phasing in a more functionally useable way.
Ex.
Random Creature
Vanishing 1
When the last Time counter is removed from this critter, remove it from the game suspended with 1 Time counter on it.
That way it keeps flipping back in and out, like what phasing was supposed to do... but got too complicated.
Amazing concept... I agree it's something that they probably want to fix (phasing, that is) and this would be a good way to do it. These cards would be interesting to play with.
Currently playing: GRB Kobold Combo (Legacy/1.5) WBR That Bloody Rack! (Extended) R (Pseudo GB) Goblinesque Aggro/Midrange (Standard) UArcanis the Omnipotent (EDH) WUBRGKarona, False God + Slivers (EDH)

That would be a cool idea, and it would be fun to see Phasing get fixed. But in this case, wouldn't the creature have to have haste or it would never be able to attack? -Jack

A funny thing... one of my playing partners and I were designing a time travel-based set a couple of years ago, and we came up with the Suspend mechanic almost exactly as it appears (ours didn't give creatures haste, and it used "Delay" counters ala Ertai's Meddling). It was the answer to the question of how do you represent casting a spell that will happen in the future. Naturally, we played areound with how to represent casting a spell that happened in the past, and this is what we came up with:
"Backcast (cost)" on a card means "You may play this card without paying its mana cost. If you do, then at the beginning of each of your upkeeps you may pay (cost). Until you do, you can't win the game and you opponents can't lose the game."
The Backcost cost was then usually pretty rediculus for the effect, and/or somehow "undid" the effect. Something like:
Lightning Growth G2
Sorcery
Backcast- GGG3
Search your library for a basic land and put it into play tapped.
Borrow time UU4
Sorcery
Backcast- UUUU4, End the turn
Take an extra turn after this one.
I'm not guessing that this mechanic will be in the set, but we had Suspend pretty much down (we called it "Forecast", I think... obviously pre-Dissension).

In addition, I hope they unveil colored artifacts and colorless spells.
(There you go, I finally said it was groundless and unfounded. Enjoy!)
Re: People misusing the term Vanilla to describe a flying, unleash (sometimes trample) critter.
See the recent discussion of how a 6th color would make sense in a small set, as a standalone.
See also Topical Balance #2 from 2k5, which contains the line "I give Magic two years before purple rears its ugly little head."
So yeah, Purple.

Not in the form of a card, mind you, but a token. There'll be some artifact or somesuch that lets you put purple colored tokens into play.
There is an imposter among us...

Perhaps then "Future Sight will make BW Control viable again." It wasn't that recent.
Actually, I don't even know if "viable" would satiate me. But that's a story for another day.
when yawgmoth comes into play u win the game. 1/1
Water gun balloon game lets you make pink teddies. Are you knocking the teddies?
My Tamanoa decklist (RGW), infuriating my brother since it's so junky!
No, I most definitely am not. They are very cool.
