But what about Angel of Despair? Looks like way more than minor flaws or did the Orzhov summon her from somewhere else or corrupt a Razia clone?
we only get Angel of Despair info in the fact that they're the orzhov's sex toys and that Razia can sense their existance. So they're either corrupted/brainwashed, or creations of the Orzhov, for....physical purposes.
In any case, that's partly why this angel, if it is an angel, says "black" to me. All the Fallen Angels have been partially to fully bald and so is Angel of Despair. not to mention it simply dosent have the "lightness" of other white angels.
IMHO.... wounds are a bit different than HAVING NO LEGS
well, she IS akroma, she got her gut sliced open during the battle(which a gruesome description too, organs falling out, ect...), and it healed right back up.

actually i think in Rav all the angels live in a floating fortress, which comes from a place no one but the angels know of.
Also said fortress dissappeared to deal with a greater foe. Feather Kos' friendly angel was the only angel not to go. Perhaps Feather left to join with the other angels and slid into Domaniria? we know that there's a time rift on Rav from the books. i always thought Feather had some avian features..
anyway you slice it, if its not an angel of some sort then i would scratch my head.

also she has a weird helmet on so her hair might be tucked away. Also with Worship leaving and platium comeing in 10th wite could use enother HA! I cant lose card. Still hopeing for a akroma tho (Can anyone say aroma deck)
im thinking she would be the coolest card ever if she had something like this,
(For the sake of argument lets call her Amorka), Child of Akroma 4WW
Flying, Doublestrike Grandeur - Discard another card named Amorka, Child of Akroma from your hand: Search your library for a card with the word Akroma in the title and put it into play. Then shuffle your library. 4/4 She opened her eyes, took to the skys and screamed for her mother.
If this card comes out i will cry with happieness lol

Just curious do we have the white magus yet? given the similarity to Empyrial Armor is it possible that we could have a magus of the armor(gay name yea). I dunno maybe I am the only one who sees it but there is definately some artwork simitarity, does the armor have any affiliation with a particular character?

am i the only one to notice?
its no angel...
count the fingers...
angels got same fingers like humans...this dude (or girl) got 4...these are not gloves and boots...these are actually hands and legs!
anyway...looks beasty to me...and beast means green usually...
Gabriel Angelfire was most notably male, this character is decidedly female.

What's interesting is this cannot be gold, as all 3 instances are from Venser, Jhoira, and Sliver Legion... I really do think it may be Magus of the Armor...
I'm not saying the angel *is* Gabriel Angelfire; I'm saying the angel is related to him, as Empyrial Armor is.
Looking at the Illustration for Gabriel Angelfire, I see little or no similarities between these two creatures besides the fact that they have wings.
Empyrial Armor is a lot closer looking. This could perhaps be something like this:
Empyrial Angel 4WW
Creature- Angel Warrior
Flying, Vigilence
Tap: Target creature gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the number of cards in your hand
3/4
Edit: Though Angelfire being in Empyrial Armor's flavor text is rather interesting.
Could be that this is the green "heir", especially since empyrial armor is a decidedly green ability:
So and So, Heir to Angelfire 3GG
Legendary Creature - Angel
Flying
~ has power and toughness each equal to the number of cards in your hand
Grandeur - Draw 2 cards
*/*
Though the connection is much more non-linear than Korvash. Maybe the grandeur could reflect that, with instead "Grandeur - This creature gains flying, first strike, trample, and rampage: 3 until end of turn"
All those examples are far enough away that you can't be sure if they are male or female. Though decree's of justice do look like they could be male.
Even on the Armor's flavor text they refer to the angel as a she. Where does it say it say Gabriel was a guy? In the books?
Gabriel is traditionally a male name (especially in reference to angels, Gabriel is a famous male angel from the bible). Additionally, looking at the card he appears to have more masculine features than most other magic angels. However, not actually being of type angel excuses him from the "female only angels besides malach" rule.

I'm referring to, of course, the flavortext. This card should be a throwback to Empyrial Armor which suggests a relationship to Gabriel Angelfire.

Actually, in angelology, Gabriel is widely accepted to be female, the fact of which is noted for her high status as a Seraph. But sources for such things often possess discrepancies.
I imagine it being something like the missing Samurai from Saviors of Kamigawa (We were supposed to have one with Wisdom-Bushido!)
Impyrial Angel- 3WW
Creature- Angel
Flying
Whenever this blocks or becomes blocked, this gets +X/+X until end of turn where X is the number of cards in your hand.

not true. Gabriel Angelfire also has some sort of cult that says he's male.
not counting Malach of the Dawn, there are 3 cards with male angels
Gabriel Angelfire
Glimmering Angel
the angels pictured on Decree of Justice
and at least one card that should be an angel but isnt

There is an imposter among us...
Look at her head. She's bald and she's got the helmet that tapers into the scalp-triangle thing.
Look at the rest of her armor.
Pretty much confirmed.
