If you look in Paul Sottosanti's article, it says:

The Genju are a six card cycle in Betrayers of Kamigawa that represent the spirits of the lands coming to life as monstrous creatures.
Either it's a typo, or there's a sixth member of the cycle? A man-land of some type seems the most likely candidate to me.

In the article we are told that there are 6 of the enchant lands. What do you think the 6th is? A artifact? I serect all color card? A land which is a enchant land? Go on and speculate!
It was not a tpyo, it would have edited. Also I made the same thing within seconds of you although mine was in the right place, Speculation. I would consider deleting this...
I say its the 1 of gold card, it only makes sense. no idea what it would do tho...

My money would be on an Enchant Legendary Land. The question then is what color it would be (maybe WUBRG? ugh) and how good of a creature it would make to have it be even remotely playable.
The possibilities are endless as to what it could be... a gold enchantment? a creature enchantment?(was there anything anywhere to say that all the genjus were enchant lands?) and so on and so forth

A 10/10 flying, trample, fear, first-strike, spirit link?
Dunno..but I think I'd pay WUBRG for that every turn...
Prolly be a legendary enchantment, too..and a legendary token as well(just so you can't try to find some way to drop the enchantment, animate, drop another, animate...and (somehow) get a hoard).
I'm pretty sure it's not a typo. It's pretty hard to accidently type "six" when you mean "five" (especially since we're talking about actual english words here)

If you came here expecting a signature, you've just wasted your time.
The article doesn't actually state that there are 6 enchantments. The dragon cycle in CHK actually consisted of 5 coloured cards and an artifact. Why couldn't the cycle consist of something like an artifact with 2<tap> target legendary land becomes a 5/5 until end of turn?
Maybe it's an artifact equipment for lands? Or.... something like that.....
EDIT: After all, he only says it's a six-card cycle. he doesn't say all of them are enchantments.

True....or possibly even an artifact witha graveyard trigger...say, when a creature(or even a land) goes into the graveyard, ~this~ becomes a 5/5(or whatever) critter with some sort of random abilities attached to it. Hmm...that'd actually be kind of interesting, and possibly put a hurt on any LD decks as well.
It is possible a legendary enchant legendary land, but upon reading the article, it's highly probable that it's a typo cause of what they want:
The Genju are a six card cycle in Betrayers of Kamigawa that represent the spirits of the lands coming to life as monstrous creatures. When one of these spirits is killed in battle, it simply relocates to a new land of the appropriate type and proceeds to animate that. And as you can see from the card above, this is no wimpy tree spirit. This is the whole forest, rising up and wiping out everything in its path.
And, during development, they've had only 5, so unless they came up with a 6th basic land at the last hurdle, it's just at typo.

......WTF????....... I don't even know what kind of warning you deserve for this....
It's gotta be a 5-color gold card. Equipment can't equip lands and makes no sense flavorwise anyway. But, considering the power of these 1CC, one-color Genju, a cost of :symw::symu::symb::symr::symg: would make it pretty darn good almost by necessity.

hmm... some people have suggested a colorless enchantment, others have blasted that suggestion down, but how about something like this:
Genju of Strangeness
Enchant Land
Use only colored mana to pay for Genju of Strangeness
Genju of Strangeness' color is the color of mana used to play it.
Genju of Strangeness can only enchant a basic land of the color used to play Genju of Strangeness.
: Enchanted land becomes a 3/3 colorless Spirit creature with first strike until end of turn. It's still a land.
When enchanted land is put into a graveyard, you may return Genju of Strangeness from your graveyard to your hand.
I know it's not worded correctly, and I know it's strange, but wizards has done strange things in the past.

Basic lands don't have colour. I think colourless spells, other than artifacts, are too off the wall to fit this mechanic.
I know basic lands don't have a color, I meant the color the produce, for example, if you paid W to play it, you'd only be able to enchant a plains. I couldn't think of a better way to explain it for the text though.
It would probably make it completely out of flavour, as well as a huge ability which would never be printed (or rather, a stupid one).
How would it be out of flavor? These are kami that inhabit lands, they can't really be killed because when the land they inhabit is destroyed they just move. So we have, kamis so-to-speak, of different lands... an Island kami, a Forest kami, Mountain Kami, Swamp Kami, Plains Kami, and perhaps a Sun Kami? Wandering Kami? Perhaps some 7/7 Trampling, Double-Striking, Feared, Vigilant Flyer that costs RUBWG to cast and RUBWG to activate. Or perhaps a prismatic activation... so like so:
Genju of the Rainbow (4)
Enchant Land (R)
RB: Enchanted land becomes a 8/2 with "B: ~ gets +1/+1 until EOT" until the EOT
UW: Enchanted land becomes a 5/4 creature with flying and "whenever ~ deals damage, you gain that much life" until EOT
GW: Enchanted land becomes a 6/6 creature with trample until EOT

I think it could possibly be a Genju that can only enchant non-basic lands. Enchanting only Legendary Lands would be seriously lame, imo. I'm at a total loss as what color mana it would use to be cast and activated. I really hope it's not a five color enchantment, as sunburst has shown that as of late, multicolor decks aren't viable in Type 2. At least thats my stance on it.
I'm guessing it's multicolored. For symmetry purposes I suppose it's also costs WUBRG. However, I wouldn't be too surprised if green had two Genjus, maybe the other one for legendaries or nonbasics, since green is the color of land animation.
Genju of the Gods - WUBRG
Enchant Legendary Land
1W: Enchanted land becomes a 4/5 Spirit creature with "whenever this creature deals damage, gain that much life" until end of turn.
1U: Enchanted land becomes a 5/3 Spirit creature with flying until end of turn.
1B: Enchanted land becomes a 3/3 Spirit creature with "(1): this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn".
1R: Enchanted land becomes a 10/1 creature until end of turn.
1G: Enchanted land becomes an 8/8 creature until end of turn.
Probably nothing like that, but hey, it looks cool.

I don't think gold would work too well. It would have to be WUBRG and it would be kind of random and maybe stupid.
