Yeah, but I think they said they were removing walls because they were creatures, but wern't in any way a living thing. While some, like Vine Trellis, make sense, others, like the 0/8 from Core Set, don't. It's something to look into...

Yeah, Yodafan's pretty much a EDH pro.
Yodafan: Official pro of one of Magic’s most casual formats.
To those who say walls can't move, remember this: This is a game where players are pretending to be planeswalkers. Very powerful people. Powerful enough to bring lands into play (Let's see you do that in real life.) Powerful enough to summon creatures from somewhere else and powerful enough to move mountains (or, in this case, walls.)
Anyway, enough of this wall debate. This is for listing fake cards floating around.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
Actually, the wall discussion is semi-important. And I have proof! From now on, we know that all walls(at least in Betrayers) are fake. One need only look at the latest Inquest, when they discuss Konda's Yojimbo...
"It's hard to think of mages fighting and saying, 'I summon my wall'"-Henry Stern, Lead Developer of BOK
"So, not only will you no longer find creatures of the type 'wall'"-Inquest's continuation, but based on what Henry Stern said.
So, who wants to pop open the champagne and celebrate the end of walls? We still have defender, but hey, what ya' gonna' do? Creatures who won't attack are rarer than walls, metinks.

So let me get this straight... BOK designers have decided to take a step back design wise and make keywords tied to creature types (bushido is NOT on chub toad), create a half dozen or so odd ball counter types (ki counters, myjoin counters, etc), create flip cards which have two "names", Make legendary creatures KILL CARDS... AND *NOW* they want to ruin my Rolling Stones deck?
That's crap man, crap. Thus far I could have done better than this in half the time it apparenly took R+D to decide that Boseju's ability, let alone the name, was a good idea.

Except Rolling Stones was errata'ed to read: "All creatures lose Defender". So your Rolling Stones deck is still...bad, but no worse.
And how about a little less pessimism? I HIGHLY doubt that you could come up with this detailed a world and 466 flavorful and balanced cards in anywhere near the time they did it in.

I thought it read "all walls lose defender"...
But it's still a poor, poor decision from a flavor standpoint. I mean, I can summon a dragon, and I can summon a fox, but I can also summon a giant wall of stone. Sure, the ability to choose WHO your wall blocked was kind of poorly done... maybe all future walls should have to block all attacking creatures they can.
Walls were made for blocking, and that's just what they do... someday these walls will block all over you...
I hope they continue the trend of printing oversized toughness creatures but with minimal power. Walls have always been bad, with a few exceptions (Wall of Blossoms, Wall of Roots). Basically any wall that could add mana was good. Any other wall sucked.
Wall of Shadows and Stinging Barrier wasn't all that bad, neither was Wall of Hope, and this other white wall, I failed to remember its name, but it could block as much as it wants.
I see no reason to remove walls, they're commons (mostly) anyway. Plus I really doubt they would remove walls all together, otherwise, why would they have bothered to keyword defender onto them?

I hate Walls. Every time I see a Wall in a new set, I cringe. The point of the game of Magic is to win, it is NOT to not lose. That being said, a small part of Magic would die if walls were to be removed. Walls are a flavorful creature type, and some of the new Walls are really crazy!

I think assaulting another player should have a range of penalties. (A light slap is a game loss, a kick in the nuts is a DQ, ghetto-stomping someone is a Ban for Life.) There could be article all about it, like "when to mulligan"

I doubt there will be walls in BoK, it just doesn't make sense. Same with Ravnica.
Of course, why would they have officially changed the whole wall thing to "defender" if there were never making any more walls? Maybe they won't make more walls, but they'll make other creatures with defender?
EDIT: Aparently Konda's Yojimbo has defender! Yes!

Some one needs to get in touch with his inner Fog Bank.
I'm not sad to see walls go though. My first magic card was Living Wall and I didn't care for it right off the bat. Defender is a stupid name for an ability. I wonder when we'll get Attacker.
There was I thinking the point of Magic was to have fun..
How could I have been so stupid?
Do you consider losing 'fun'? The fun of Magic is winning: For a Timmy, winning with big bad fat creatures. For a Spike, winning in the most efficient way possible. For a Johnny, winning in the most 'cool' way possible. I have never seen a Magic masochist who wanted to lose.
I seiriously doubt that walls are down for the count. Why do I think this? Walls are a part of magic, admitedly many people probably dislike walls. But then again there are probably some casual players who love walls. It also really dosen't seem like that much of a flavor hurdle to me. Mighty planswalkers should probably move a load of rock if they can move a ton of angry Dragon.

Blazing Wall 2R
Enchantment - Barrier
Blazing Wall may be played as an instant.
After an opponent declares their attackers, Blazing Wall deals 2 damage to target attacking creature and it is considered blocked. If that creature has 6 or greater power, then destroy Blazing Wall.
Think of a battle between Mages which use creatures to pumel each other. Wouldnt a wall be some sort of instant blocker? They aren't really creatures, since most Magical walls are made of things like Ice, Fire, Vines etc. So they really should be an enchantment that can be busted by big creatures.

Tell that to the people who thing "Bruce" is the fourth player type. There are plenty of people who insist that they are Bruces. I have plenty to say on the matter, but none of it has to do with walls. Oh, and your sig is very annoying with the page stretchery.
About walls: This whole thing smells fishy. And humany. Almost like... Yes! Merfolk! This is Merfolk all over again. What is Brady Dommermuth's objection to perfectly legitmate creature types?
Ship, Wall, and a few others are just poor 'creature' types... I'm glad Wizards are giving them the boot... (any one here that their thinking of banning DotV in 2005? that would tickle me...)

Walls are an important function of magic methinks. Even though I don't use them, I remember back when I liked nothing better than slapping an animate wall on my wall of swords and then going to town.

I dunno what to think of walls. I preffered walls that could attack (like needleshot gourna, believe it or not, that was my wall on a deck).
And for rolling stones... http://www.wizards.com/magic/autocard.asp?name=ROLLING+STONES
