Hopefully our friend can spoil the UR manland so we can be disappointed before Christmas.
Well anything UR is automatically way better due to the prevelance of UR and URx decks in modern. I mean Steam Vents after the reprint was the cheapest shockland and then now later its the most expensive. I mean even something halfway decent on the UR manland could see heavy play in modern. To follow that up the buddy lands from Innistrad behaved the exact same way, Sulfur Falls now eclipses every other enemy buddy land by a good margin.
This is why I'm worried they are going to nerf the UR manland hard. I know that WOTC developers say they don't create new cards for standard with modern in mind, but they have to be aware that it will see a ton of play in modern. Therefore, I'm afraid they will make sure it is not too strong. The easiest way that makes sense it to give it no evasion and give it prowess. That way it still fits UR, but won't be playable in a lot of decks due to the fact that it costs mana to activate it and then more mana to cast any spells to get an advantage from the mechanic.
^Having to use mana to activate it and then more to use/trigger its ability? That's just like regeneration on this rumored BG land. If its stats are good enough, a prowess manland could be playable. That said, UR isn't known for its big creatures, and I think prowess would be a lazy design.
How about the old power/toughness reversal? That's very UR. It could be 1/3 with an activated ability that turns it into a 3/1.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.

Why are so many of the recent posts worried that the U/R land will be bad due to the color combination being widely played in modern? I mean, G/B in played in similar amounts and this land is amazing.
While looting or Prowess seem to be most likely I would love for the UR-Land to be a bit different.
Maybe something like: 1UR: Name becomes Wee Dragonauts until end of turn, it´s still a Land
or 1UR: Name becomes Gelectrode until end of turn, it´s still a Land
or even xUR: Name becomes a copy of target creature with CMC X until end of turn, it´s still a Land
But those just might be to powerful. But I would really like that.
Wee Dragonauts land would be an intriguing addition to the Nivix Cyclops style decks, but the Gelectrode land would almost certainly find a combo shenanigans home. There might even be a shell for it in standard while Jeskai Ascendancy is around. Double untap triggers after every spell is a good way to keep going. There might not be enough playable 1 mana spells, but we can start with Magmatic Insight and Treasure Cruise for fuel. I might just be building a Sphinx's Tutelage deck though...
On the topic of the BG manland:
I find myself hopeful in that the thread is still open and that OblivionedOne gave us the same stats/costs during BFZ spoiler season, but cautiously skeptical in that it has not been added to the spoiler and the mods have been silent. Implications for modern jund/junk/BUG aside, this would be a huge upgrade for one of my brews that aims to win the game almost exclusively on the back of manland attacks. Last I put it together, the use of treetop village necessitated a higher land count due to issues with mana fixing. Of course, last I built it, Kommanding back fulminators wasn't a thing...
LOL, fake. Don't forget the Tectonic Edge clause on 2-color manlands, guys.

This was a disappointing thread to look back on. Shady information was given without sources. Then, the people who dared to ask questions and expect clarification were shouted down. I'd expect better from this community in the future. We've had seven pages of entirely pointless discussion due to this fake post.
