PAX East's collectible pins were posted, and Wizard's pin is very interesting. A Sarkhan-looking character has a blue streak in his hair and green shoulders. Otherwise looks like Sarkhan. Perhaps he is being recolored to reflect the new timeline?
The text further down the page refers to it as:
Sarkhan, Unbroken Pin [Wizards of the Coast]
Available as a prize on the Prize Wall in the Magic tournament space in the Tabletop Area.
I still go by the theory that Sarkhan was a dragon this whole time, maybe even a "Maniphest"ation of Ugin's power in some way, hence his insane attraction to other Dragons.
Also remember, it's been confirmed he still does his whole past stuff. Even with ugin in a vault of sorts he goes to Alara and pledges himself to Bolas
This is likely his new look now that he found Ugin rather than Bolas.
Ah, sweet. Has he been shown with the blue hair streak besides there? It's new to me.
Nope, this is the first time we see him this way. People have pointed out how he looked different and theorized that it may be what he looks like in the alternate timeline (Dragons of Tarkir.) This pin pretty much confirms it.
I have neither the skill to correctly and accurately analyze this set in the context of current and future formats after 12 hours of exposure, nor the hubris to delude myself into believing that I do.
He looks less of a crazy hobo now :D.So is possible that he changed just like the other khans in this new timeline and his adventures across the multiverse is a parallel to his previous life without changing anyone else outside Tarkir. For example he saw the cocoon and decided to go to Zendikar to find out how to remove the seal instead of the timeline when he was a servant of Bolas.
Doug has be adamant that the change is only affecting Tarkir. So Sarkhan is the only planeswalker this change would affect. So RedGauntlet that could be exactly how altered timeline Sarkhan remembers the events even though Jace and Chandra remember them differently. I.e- A.T-Sarkhan remembers using a dragon form to read the runes in the Eye of Ugin and a pyromancer barged in and he tried to scare her away and a blue mage showed up seemed to help her then Sarkhan got knocked out then woke up and returned to Tarkir with a possible way to open the cacoon.
A.T-Sarkhan might not even know who Ajani or Bolas are as he may have never met them. I can see this being a spite to Bolas because even if he reads A.T-Sarkhans mind to try and figure out what happened Sarkhan will only know how is life happened from his perspective.

Everyone should learn from this
