Hey everybody, I just opened a DGM booster box, fat pack, and about 10 extra boosters. I received 2 Ral Zarek (both from the booster box) along with every other rare/mythic in the set except for 6, including Voice of Resurgence. I realize it's the most expensive (and probably most rare) card in the set, but I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck finding them? I plan on buying another booster box in the coming weeks so maybe I'll have more luck; although the 2 Rals are pretty lucky if you ask me, I still want at least one VoR.
i saw 3 coming out of the same box (2 normal + 1 foil)
they appears in boxes the same way as others MR just it
cause you don't get 1 in your box don't mean that its rarer than other cards just mean that you had bad luck
Paying 30$ for a single card is not saving money. I would rather open 6 boosters in a gamble to get them and get 90 cards out of the deal
The average value of a pack of DGM, considering the value of the rares + uncommons + worthless commons is probably something like $2.50. Somehow spending $4 for an average of $2.50 in cards is better value than spending $30 to get $30?
You could also wait 2-3 weeks and buy the card as a single when it's going for $15 instead of $30.
Speculation is a totally different phenomenon from the whole problem with opening sealed product.

Ah, the ol' "hey guys, here's some data based on a really small sample size" thread that pops up every 3 or 4 days. It all evens out in the end.
Pretty much this.
See - I opened the counter balance of your case. I opened 6 boxes and got 6 Voices and 4 Ral Zareks. Was it an insanely good case? heck yes! (And the 2 Rals and 2 Voices I preordered can now be traded away)
I got zero Reap Intellect. You don't hear me calling it ultra rare. I paid my $8 and bought my playset like everyone else.
Though I know how it sucks to not get the $30 cards you were hoping for - it just happens.
(I also call BS that you opened 11 mythics in 55 packs - but I guess anything's possible)
RNG is RNG, man. My brother and his friend opened 5 boxes, 2 prerelease packs, 3 fatpacks, and an intro pack. In 217 packs of DGM, they got two Ral Zarek and two Voice of Resurgence total (all my brothers, incidentally). To counterbalance it they got like six each of Progenitor Mimic and Legion's Initiative (one foil). They did about average on shocks, but one box contained zero and another contained three. The game is just a gamble. Somewhere out there (probably in the last unopened box from their case) there's a box with 3 Rals an 2 Voices and no other mythics.

I've cracked somewhere around 60-70 packs of DGM so far. I've opened one or more of most mythics (including two VORs), but no RZs. That's the V-word!

And yet the chances that the 90 cards aren't worth the cardboard they're printed on is incredibly more likely than opening that 1 mythic you need. Buying singles is always more reliable than opening product.
To the OP, ~50 packs isn't nearly enough of a sample size. If mythics are only 1/8 chance, that's about 6 mythics in 50 packs. Obviously, there will be some that you don't open.
Out of 3 Pre-Release, a Fat Pack, 2 Boxes, 2 intro packs (Orzhov and Gruul) and about 10 other packs, I got 3 Voice, 2 Rals (in the same box but no voice in it) Opened only 1 Mirko Vosk yet 5 Melek, 2 being Foils completely Random
At the prerelease, two of the five people at my table got Voice of Resurgence and one other got Ral Zarek. I got a pack at the end of the night as a low reward and pulled one VoR myself.
However, there wasn't one in my box (or a Ral Zarek).

Two displays, one Fat Pack and three extra boosters. Two Voice of Resurgence...but no Ral Zarek Got the other Mythics and Rares...things should be evenly distributed and nothing should be more rare than the other rares. Just luck/bad luck

+1 to this. Voice is a decent card, but the only reason it's price tag is $30 because of the "money card" syndrome that people have. It's a sideboard hate-bear, expect ~$7-9 in the future for the card.
I've opened 7 booster boxes(I won one of them at the pre-release, don't judge me) and ended up with 6x normal and 1x foil Voice of Resurgences. I only got 1 Master of Cruelties and no Savageborn Hydras though, so just like every other MTG set, it's all luck.

Doubtful. I see this sticking at $15-$20 for a good long while. It's great in eternal formats but just good in modern, standard and constructed. The price is going to stay high.
Also, not a rumour.

Variance happens. Learn to better understand it, because it is a huge part of every aspect of this game.

So it's luck.

As others have said, all mythics are the same rarity. Keep trying, or buy them as singles!
