Sorry but G/W "Flicker" doesn't seems like a strong deck in a magic precon, you think that Wizards will put Restoration Angels, Blade Splicers, Thragatusk, etc?
Some of you may have been in shock since we invaded Canada and Mexico, but fear not, it was for a good cause. Now that we conrol North America, we produce an extra 5 armies a turn.^_^
I doubt there would be a snapcaster in there. Wizards wants the deck to be available for the normal player to buy, and not for it to be hoarded for resale or marked up way over msrp.

Why wouldn't they put cards that work with the theme into these decks? I know a lot of people were sad pandas about no Snappy in the AVR Event Deck, but it was a human-based deck. Snapcaster doesn't work best in a deck like that, but it makes a Burning Vengeance style deck a lot better.

Considering the fact that Snapcaster is currently sitting at 19.99 for one mint condition and these retail at 19.99 if they reprint it in this event deck and the price falls at all then it would be very un-financially intelligent to "hoard" and resell. Look at Rats Nest and what it did with Jitte. Jitte was worth more than the entire deck (combined) and the decks were cheaper than the Jitte's value. These decks are equal to Snapcasters value. Now if there are two Snapcasters in it, all bets are off.

They've already put big cards in with previous decks. The deck prices stay at $20 and the individual card prices fall. Kinda obvious.

As for the "complexity" of using snapcaster - one of the latest event decks had 2 inkmoth nexii in them, which is arguably more complicated than snappy. Secondly, the value of inkmoth nexus was halved when people found out it was a 2-of in the event deck.
Snpacaster being in an event deck WILL impact it's price in the short term. If there's 1 in there (which I doubt, seems to make more sense to include a sulfur falls and some devil's play) then I imagine snapcaster will retail for 14, and ebay for 10.
I dont think they will include a snapcaster mage since its a chase rare in the innistrad set and it makes people want to buy that set for the chance to pull one. So this talk that its gonna include a snapcaster is bogus. Wizards is smart enough to not put chase rares in event decks.

2x Stoneforge Mystic in one of the NPH disagrees with you.
However, that was in the last possible set before Rotation (M12 aside).

Inkmoth Nexus, Gravecralwer, Phantasmal Image, Phyrexian Metamorph, Stoneforge Mystic, Mirran Crusader were all in Event Decks and are/were staples. Snapcaster may cost more on the secondary market than most of those did, but it's nearly a year old now. It's had it's time in the sun. Besides which, don't discount the idea that a lot of newer players would rather invest $80 in 4 full decks than 4 single cards. I think a Snapcaster in the U/R Event Deck would be a good call.

Exactly. If I see 1 or more snappcasters in the decklist, I'll buy 4 at retail from scg or someone selling them at msrp(my local shops don't mark them up), even with a potential price drop.
Snapcaster is a GREAT card, but he's still just a rare, not a mythic. There's really no reason not to print him in a U/R event deck.
Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.
Thragtusk, Blade Splicer and Resto Angel would all make sense given the theme.
I don't really care about Blade Splicer. Wouldn't mind one though. I would love to get a resto Angel and a Thragtusk. FNM last Friday. The winners got PROMO PLAYSETS. I repeat, PROMO PLAYSETS OF RESTO ANGELS!!!! Now my friend has 7 of them

the sharpest steel is tempered in fire!!! though the plane of mirrodin is lost, the fire of mirrans still burn!!!!!
Talking about Snapcaster, when was the last time that Wizards actually took into account a cards value based on what a player was willing to pay for it, when designing what would be in a premade deck? (Not trying to be argumentative, I just honestly couldn't find anything online about it and was wondering if someone had.)

Wizards hates snapcaster. They said it was a mistake so no it wont be in. And to answer all of the Stoneforge Mystic complaints I'll say this Stoneforge is yes an incredibly powerful card but it was what followed that put it over the top. The swords and batterskull simply begged for Stoneforge. If Zenidkiar block wasn't followed by the Scars block instead by say Innistrad we would have had a different situation. So I would be extremely surprised by the inclusion of Snapcaster, which is superior to Stoneforge.
I will make a counter argument and that is: Phantasmal Image
You just raised my hopes again. Cheers man. Most likely will be a one-of though. And, I read previously that the decklists are pre-planned before the release of the set

They've already put big cards in with previous decks. The deck prices stay at $20 and the individual card prices fall. Kinda obvious.
What's kinda obvious is I'm talking about what happens to price and availability when there are chase cards in a precon deck.
Look at the commander release, and right now the planechase release. I am unable to find a single chaos reigns deck around my side of the island, and the LGS in town has it marked up over msrp. I found one night of the ninja, and not another one after numerous weekly trips.
However, savage auras and primordial hunger, they sit on the shelves, and are readily available any day of the week @ retail price. WoTC needs to find that balance where people who want to deck to play pick it up, but there isn't so much value that stock gets decimated by resellers or people parting it out for singles.

Phantasmal Image wasn't that expensive, at that moment, Phantasmal Image was about $12-$14, Thragatusk is like $26-$28 now.
You just raised my hopes again. Cheers man. Most likely will be a one-of though. And, I read previously that the decklists are pre-planned before the release of the set
SCG has theirs listed at $15, but I do expect it to hit the price you mentioned.
Well if those are your prices, it might be because you're misspelling Thragtusk. It's around $15.
Level 1 Judge
i would probably buy like 12 if they were priced right.
not going to get my hopes up though.
Wizards didn't know it would be that expensive when they made these decks. Also, $26???? Seriously what's the point of the mythic rarity....
