Meh, after reading the article(and double checking on the rules) I have found that this doesn't work. Meh. Apparently all state based actions are taken simultaneously(which I knew) but it just escaped me that because of that at no point will the +1/+1 counter not be on the creature with undying while it's a creature(when it's in the GY it's a creature card. So infect/wither will just kill it dead if there is a +1/+1 counter.
wait what wouldn't the -1/-1 counter get rid of the +1/+1 counter as it goes on.. that how it works right?
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
But Geist will block 1/x Infect creatures all day long. (not that there are any seeing play that Geist can actually block, but that's a different story).
For sure, as long as the damage is not lethal you're fine.

If the damage is lethal the creature is put into the graveyard at the same time as you remove the counters, so when undying checks at no point does it see a creature without a +1/+1 counter on it.(Creature cards in graveyards aren't creatures.)
Does anybody else feel like there's a cubby hole thing missing from the Ghastly Haunting side of Soul Seizer? I can't look at the card without my eyes being drawn to where it should be.

ok... well thats an easy fix i will just need to add Pyrohemia to the combo

This set seems really broken so far. I'm afraid of the Undying mechanic, honestly lol Persist was annoying enough but this is even worse!
I love the art in this block, it's beautiful. I'd like to see mill be viable in standard and I think that flashback mill card is a step in the right direction. It's also freakin' AWESOME for self mill.
That geist is getting tested with Birthing Pod for sure. I do so love a good green Haste creature. However, would people quit saying Undying is more threatening than Persist. What I see is the creatures having less value since the counter is giving a plus. I did see someone else mention Finks for example. All the good persisters add value by hitting the field, which I don't see yet with Undying, though I hope I do. Also, their doesn't seem to be a cheap consistent enabler like Melira is for Persist.
The playabilty of Gravecrawler is amazing, and also in the same blok as Diregraf Ghoul! Once the block is done, aggro zombies is GON to be AWESOME in block and standard.

The second is guaranteed as a T1 deck that is really good, plus its' mana is better. I would choose #2. However, Eminem is correct, comes down to preference. Eminem was not correct, however, for tying Rihanna to the bed and setting the house on fire.
Gravecrawler is definitely the best card of the bunch. A very aggressive, cheap creature which is incredibly hard to kill and provides late-game card advantage. It's also a combo card and could do some pretty nasty stuff with a sacrifice outlet and/or a graveyard trigger. Oh, hello Nantuko Husk/Phyrexian Ghoul/Grimgrin, Corpse-Born/Carrion Feeder.
Strangleroot Geist & Gravecrawler both work well with Garruck. You can 'fight' with Garruk Relentless to get him to transform so you can poop out deathouch wolves. They have enought power to drop him low enough and then come back so you aren't really losing card advantage by plinking one of your own guys. That way you don't have to rely on your opponent having they right sized creature.
I think Zombie Apocalypse is probably my favorite card in all of Magic the Gathering now. That's one of the most flavorful cards I've ever seen and is fitting for the end of nearly any zombie film.
Hey... it's just occurred to me that Thraben Doomsayer is the creature with the lowest CMC that makes tokens by simply tapping so far... Intruder Alarm, anyone?

The card nearly every spoiled Magic player dreams of:
Jace's Trolling ---

Split Second
Exile target spell, then return Jace's Trolling to its owner's hand.

Yeah, that's one broken to hell combo all right. Problem is, my IA deck is mono blue merfolk so it won't go.
Increasing Confusion seems like the Johnny card of choice here.
Given the Myr Galvaniser engine, you should happily be able mill your enitre deck into the GY by turn four, and flashback a Devil's Play. It's less blue investment (although, that blue requirement gets changed into red) than using Blue Sun's Zenith and also avoids the risk of being decked by an instant speed draw spell (in standard this would only be BSZ and Etched Monstrosity).
This is me just thinking crazy thoughts in a vaccum though.

Honestly, Gravecrawler + Sac Outlet (perhaps Demonmail Hauberk) + Falkenrath Noble + any other zombie in Limited scares the everloving crap out of me. Because it's not farfetched at all to imagine happening and swinging a huge chunk of life.

I haven't seen these posted yet.
That art for the Geist is 100% better than the normal one
I really like what they've done with the frame for those promos, they look top notch now
And when is the Jar of Eyeballs getting spoiled?
I wonder if Elbrus is a flip Artifact - Equipment.
The Huntmaster is a transform card and has the two colours of the werewolf tribe, I do believe this is the legendary werewolf, yes
And Elbrus is on the checklist card, no? If it now is, then it's guaranteed that it is a transform card

JAMMIT DIM! I'm a DOCTOR not a DECKBUILDER!
Never gets to use haste as a 3/2? You're doing it wrong.
"Day of Judgement, attack for 3" seems fine to me.
You're going aggro with Day of Judgement?

But it's a nice thought anyway.
I think he'll find a home in a GW tokens deck.
