I would assume the promo cards will be the Arcana leaving Maro's article and this one shown here with the ghoul looking thing for the two articles. Does anyone know if there will be a mini site for DKA? The usually go up the Wednesday before spoilers begin but as far as I know, we don't have one yet.
Well he is really digging Tumblr lately... might be the new way they are pushing things, through social networking... in order to give the thirst masses more than one or two cards a day.
Preview cards on Twitter are nothing new at all. Those have been given out since at least Scars of Mirrodin, I can't remember if they'd also been done prior to that. Not just Mark, but Aaron Forsythe, Ken Nagle, and other members of R&D have tweeted preview cards, plus ones posted from the main DailyMTG account. The Jar was first mentioned as a Twitter preview, it'll just be cross-posted to Tumblr after that, just like Mark's other Twitter previews since he started his Tumblr.
Mark Rosewater @maro2544m My preview card for Monday is a double-faced card. One of the sides is not a creature (or planeswalker).
he also confirmed jar of eyeballs is his tumblr/twitter preview. So two from him.
I assume his DFC will be something akin to erayo; starts as a creature and turns into an enchanment. or vice-versa. 'dude becomes curse' is an option, as is 'artifact possessed by ghost becomes ghost'
Art and themewise, Jar of Eyeballs sounds an awful lot like Lantern of Insight; its an artifact at least. I wonder if it could be inspired by it and not just coincidental; it would be easy to work something like Lantern into a mill-based theme, which wizards have really been pushing through an artifact theme anyway
It's safe to assume that whatever it does involves looking at hidden information of some sort, whether it's someone's hand, top card of a library, etc.
The feature article will explain the mechanics of the set and will spoil this card:
The Arcana will spoil the promo cards, including this one:
This is surely Ravenous Demon.
No word yet on Maro's preview.EDIT: Here's a preview of Maro's preview!

He says "Iโll show to you all here on tumblr on Monday." so it might not be his dailymtg column preview.

Dunes of Zairo
SHANDALAR
Innistrad - The Darkest Night

Commander: Allies & Adversaries
R Citizen Cane (Feldon of the Third Path)
Also, this Demon looks interesting - not quite as physically bulky as most of Magic's Demons.

Until we zoom out and see piles of dead bodies.
Okay, gross.
Yo dawg! We heard you like previews, so we put a preview in your preview so you can watch a preview while waiting to watch a preview.
A huge thanks to Argetlam and the guys at Hakai studios for this awesome banner

So maybe side A could be 'give target creature -2/-2 until end of turn. If it dies this turn, put ~this~ into play flipped'//zombie
This has nothing to do with WotC...you can usually pull out the images for the daily articles on mtg.com a few days in advance.
which 2 pictures go together?
I'd be very disappointed if Maro's week 1 preview was basically Skeletonize.
The last pic (the small one) looks like two different arts. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong though.
