Even works without that, the destruction of all creatures will trigger the Necroskitter's ability, even if it dies itself. So even without umbras you'd get your opponent's whole board. The Skitter and the Demon would die, though.
I guess this has some potential. While 6 mana for a 4/4 flyer is not good, once you activate it once, it becomes okay. I think he would be better used on 7 mana where you get to activate it immediately unless you can clear the board before this hits play.
While a total Limited bomb, this guy probably will not break the cusp of Constructed play, which is too bad because he's so, so close to being good enough. Ah well, open him in your sealed pool and smile with glee for the afternoon while you beat people down with your flying wannabe Mutilate.
Well in limited a 4/4 black flyer which can do a permanent Infest to all other creature is a pretty good deal for 4BB particularly with proliferate to make it into a wrath-esque effect. In constructed it's too slow too weak and suffers from Baneslayers existance.
Limited bomb that seems really good with proliferate? Yeah, that's about it.

Kinda wish this guy could have been cheaper and came into play with 5 -1/-1 counters so it could kill Baneslayer.
The one thing good about it, at least it is a demon that actually does something against Baneslayer. My first impression is that this card is really lame.
In MBC, if you get 2 out, your opponent will never land another creature. Also, if you're running B, you should have some form of answer for walletslayer. 2 of these demons, or one removal spell from the plethora of removal black has.
Were you asleep during the Shards block as well as Zendikar? We're now officially two sets after Shards.
That said, I like it. So what if it isn't T2 material? It's great fun in casual!
First thing this made me think of is "You must construct additional pylons."
And it makes sense, too!
Are you aware they make more cards then see print and that some times they like a card but for what ever reason they have to cut it from the set?
I have a hunch that they made this card during shadowmoore/eventide but for what ever reason it got cut and now that -1/-1 counters are back it gave wizards a chance to print it.

Current Fallen Angel (Anson Maddocks art) Count:449!!!
This+ a repeatable proliferate effect is game-winning.. I wish I could open it in my sealed pool.I'm almost tempted to try my hand at this in constructed but I'm scared that it might end up being too slow.
It's still nice cause it shrinks Baneslayer making it much less scary.
Or maybe just this and... itself? This Demon is perfect creature control in a pair.

BSA is not a threat to the deck that runs this card.
Skill is an ability that relates more so to the type of deck that's built and how said player pilots it. It also relates to the ability to assess the board and use the cards available to you in the most optimal way relative to each situation.
When a deck is filled with above par cards and every play is solid, there comes a diminishing need to "think" for the lack of wanting to use a better word.
Reminds me of Deity of Scars, and it sort of falls in the same trap it was in: Starts off small and vulnerable and takes time to develop. It may be too late by then.
I'm not sure how well this demon will do in competitive, primarily Standard, play. But, you get a 6/6 for 4BB eventually after you use his ability, which is probably going to be the turn he can attack. Infect would make him way too powerful. I would not be surprised to see an instant or sorcery that would give infect, but it would not be for a low cc. More likely we will see an equipment which would give infect, and it will not be for cheap.

Yeah fair enough. It was just me misunderstanding what he meant.
I thought he meant kill all their dudes and take them... nvm.
I guess this begs another question:
Why are they casting Day of Judgement when they have a bunch of dudes in play?
But you know, crazier things have happened.

That's the point; you just activate it once, and then when day destroys all their board, you get it.
Perhaps this might bring back that BG combo deck in extended this season.

The demon itself is fairly solid.

Still, the design is superb. I like it.
Indestructable? Bye-bye.
Shroud? Bye-bye [non-targeting neener-neener]
I want to be the only guy on the board to beat for 6? Proliferate = Bye-bye.
Somebody is going to break this in multiples....
