Larry's Disk was my first thought too, but it kind of looks like there are traces of the five colors in the center, which I wouldn't expect from that. Could just be artist's interpretation, though.
I think there's gonna be some seriously hot cards in this set. Sol Ring <3
And, yeah, the Lights preview card is just one more piece of evidence that strengthens the "Mirrodin/Phyrexia block" thing.
this gives the return to mirrodin a little (granted, not a lot) more credence: an artifacts-only FTV with a preview mythic rare artifact feels very much like a something that could lead into an artifact-fueled set.

To be frank, the trademark was the nail in the coffin on any discussion if the next fall set would be Mirrodin Pure. (or whatever name makes the most sense of the three)
People didn't think Rise of the Eldrazi was going to follow Worldwake, after all.
But yes, the more I look at the art, the more it looks like the disc.

I know 3sphere was already in the last FTV, but it is possible.
I am thinking that artifacts that saw Standard play will be in. This means that we might see Jitte, Ravager and even Static Orbs (remember it's combo with Opposition?)

Thanks for spiderboy4 of High~Light_Studios for the kick ass avatar.
Thanks for DarkNightCavalier of HotPS for the exceptional signature.
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums
I wish they'd saved Trinisphere for this! Even Tinker. They'd've been so much more flavorful for the "Relics" FtV than the "Exiled" FtV. (But I digress.)
It's clearly Nivenyrral's Disk, this one's not really even much of a question. Either way, love the art! "Relics" sounds like a winner!
The lighting on the energy beams makes it seem that they're going into the artifact, which effectively rules out Conservator and Sol Ring. Probably going to be the disk.
I can just hope that some of the new art is done by Rebecca Guay. Goddess knows that my G/W Rebecca Guay EDH deck can use all of the help it can get.
That said, if this has alot EDH things in it, I will have to buy it and if they arn't too expensive perhaps eventually a second one as well because I have multiple decks to support. It really depends on what's in it though.

Special-Purpose Reprints All policies described in this document apply only to non-premium, tournament-legal Magic cards. Wizards of the Coast has and may continue to print special versions of cards not meant for regular game play, such as oversized cards.

What are you saying?
They did not violate the list for Exiled. Hell they specifically pointed it out. This set will presumably follow the same thing.

The stuff going into the vortex could be the damage it's preventing. Orange artifact with circular radial spires and dots. 24 triangles on the inner ring. Very similar proportions, with the centerpiece removed for the vortex. Very similar purple fog/ether background. It's TONS closer to Conservator's artwork than Disk's. Give an artist Conservator, tell them "make it look cool" and that looks like a pretty likely result. It is in someone's hand (like Disk), but given that Conservator prevents damage to the player it's not unusual for it to be handheld.

Yes they will print a card in a limited edition, probably will cost most people $100 dollars to get, set that is pure ☺☺☺☺.

Conservator hasn't been "battle-tested" as much as disk has.
I believe every playable card will eventually have been reprinted en masse. As I've been going through old collections to add to inventory, I've noticed that a great percentage of playable stable commons and uncommons have already been done. Another thing I notice is this brings the prices of cards way down.
Essentially, it's like they're now able to reprint all the popular playable cards. The secondary market, pretty much destroyed in recent years by MTGO and the push for limited formats, has all but given up on Magic imo.
But awesome opportunity for:
- new players who have no cards but want some
- WotC
That art has 12 points on the circle... could it be Armageddon Clock? I mean, sure Disk would be awesome, and could still be in the set somewhere, but that looks like a clock to me.
This looks pretty sweet. It's pretty much what everyone thought it was hey? Powerful artifacts from throughout history. Sweet. Sweet disc on the official page too, three guesses what that is going to be....
It's most likely disk. It's iconic, saw lots of play, and would help drive up hype for the set.
I wouldn't rule out sol ring, either (or both) would be nice.
I'd like to see:
Sol Ring
Disk
Sword of Fire and Ice
Sword of Light and Shadow
Voltaic Key
Thran Dynamo
Engineered Explosives
Mana Vault
Triskelion
Masticore
Aether Vial
Smokestack
Winter Orb
Millstone
Nullrod
Yeah that's probably really a greedy list.

WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
I saw this and predicted the same thing.
At least five commonly played, high-powered EDH artifacts are going to be in here, most likely more.

I'll laugh so hard if it's Conservator.
