We are still awaiting a picture of the last piece, but the ENTIRE CARD is confirmed (thanks to other language versions) as it shows up in the spoiler.
Wow,this is insane. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these. I can see this getting play in all formats, so his price tag is probably going to be substantial.
I think this 'walker is going to net a high price tag. It's verrrry delicious for my inner blue player, and will undoubtedly be sought after by several different player demographics.
Brainstorm on a walker? That alone sells me.

In other news, crazy nitwits playing dress-up have also convicted the Hamburglar, the Cookie Crisp Crook, and the Frito Bandito of sundry snack-related thefts.
Seriously, what about this strikes you as remotely worthy of discussion?

This will likely be the set's overhyped card. While it looks good, it remains to be seen it will live up to the hype (and be actually played in top tier decks).
The one thing that might go against it is how it starts with relatively little loyalty and it's only loyalty adding ability is so weak nobody will be playing it, not when they'd rather brainstorm. Meaning Jace could very well end up being just a four mana sorcery speed brainstorm before it gets destroyed.
It will be interesting to see...

It is always easy to be tolerant and understanding...Until someone presents an opinion completely opposite to your own.
I foresee Elspeth levels in price while it is in Standard. So a gradual rise to about $25. It isn't much more useful than Elspeth is, but they are equal in terms of power level.

Elspeth affects boards position and doesn't end her first turn in Bolt range.
Also, does the magical expanding text box remind anyone else of Spark Fiend?
Well if you actually try to be competent you'd get a +2 to fateseal a threat on your opponent and get it out of Bolt's range.
If you're going to be sassy, at least read the post you're quoting. He said it isn't a functional reprint of brainstorm, and it isn't, not even close. In your scenario, for example, you play jace at sorcery speed on turn 4 or so, activate the fateseal +2, and then wait another turn before you have brainstorm. That isn't anything like a one-mana instant. (But Jace is cool because you can reuse his brainstorm, and he has other fun abilities too.)
The "brainstorm ability" is really good, and the reason the card is going to be popular, but I wish people would stop acting like wotc just reprinted Brainstorm.

Why do people continue to rail against a free scry 1/fateseal 1 per turn? This is not a bad ability.
Yes, I'd rather brainstorm. I'd also like Jace to live and shuffle away useless fluff that I don't need late game. If I'm in a strong position and do not want my opponent to draw the one card he needs to "get out" I can look at his top card. If that's his out, I bottom it; if not, I don't.
Honestly, the ability is not bad. I don't understand why people continue to rail against it. I've no problem using it a time or two to put Jace in safe distance whilst fixing my draws in the mean time. Plus it also gives me room to unsummon creatures when needed so I can get some damage through.
To me, that's good.

I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.

I'll play it. The way I see it, this is (for 1 mana more) a direct upgrade to Jace Beleren which has seen plenty of constructed play.
This definitely replaces old Jace in my Shroud Control deck since all you have to do is use his +2 ability once to get him out of bolt range and from that point on you get a free Brainstorm every turn.
those tweets annoy me, because they remind me of the pre-lotus cobra tweet someone (maybe flores?) made. something like "OMG I get to spoil the best card ever in the history of magic!!!!111" (I'm only slightly exaggerating)
I like it. It'll most likely see a large price-tag when it first hits pre-release, but I'd expect to see it drop after a little while (while it's still in standard). Brainstorm on a stick works obscenely well with lorescale coatl adding in your first draw, that's 4 +1/+1 counters each turn, and in green he's got protection/blockers. The first ability is not as much of a utility as Garruk's, but it is fairly useful for +2 loyalty. This planeswalker might see the same price Garruk did when he first came out and then dip to $10-15 as well. Worse comes to worse, he's a kill card for control decks.
Compare to other cards that let you draw a card every turn. Add the Brainstorm effect on top of it (in a format with fetches). -1 Unsummon on a 3 loyalty walker for 4 (Vengeant?).
It won't be enough to make blue good. But as a standalone card, it's certainly competitive.
I love how this version of Jace captures blue so nicely. I love the versatility of his new card, though his first and second ability are somewhat similar in the sense that they fix your draw. The last two abilities are great though, I doubt his last ability will be used very often because of its ridiculous loyalty requirements (like the original Jace), but a repeatable unsummon is great. I hope to grab a playset soon.

Four mana sorcery speed Brainstorm that duresses a Bolt isn't exactly a functional reprint.

Umm, Jace doesn't end his first turn in Bolt range, either, unless you don't use the +2 ability.

Don't.

Is it really worth it to blow four mana mainphase on a mediocre ability just to Brainstorm once a turn for the next four+ turns?

You actually made me go back and reread the card. I thought the first ability said "target opponent", it actually says "target player".
