Relive the most epic battle in Magic: The Gathering history.
The scourge known as the Phyrexian plane of Rath has been overlayed upon Dominaria. Single-minded and with an unyielding goal to eliminate all in their path, the mono-black Phyrexian army is filled with a variety of efficient killing machines.
For Dominaria, victory is the only option. The Coalition, representing the five colors of Magic, has united under the leadership of Gerrard Capashen to combat the Phyrexian invaders.
When two forces that are polar opposites wage war, sheer devastation can be the only outcome. The question remains: Where will you stand?
Deck Design and Development: Chris Millar, Mike Turian, and Matt Tabak Release Date: March 19th, 2010 MSRP: $19.99
Does that monster on the left look a tad bit like Phyrexian Negator to anyone? I know it's not, due to the List, but maybe it's featured on the art of another card anyway?
On one side:
Coalition Victory, Ertai (I'd see him in the coalition deck rather than giving Phyrexia white), Sisay, Gerrard, Tangarth, Blind Seer, Barrin, Orim and Squee.
On the other:
Greven, Ascended Evincar, all "Phrexia" cards...Yawgmoth Demon?
Wow, i actually talked about this months ago on a X Vs. X duel decks thread and here it is, jez, talk about wish granted! Um yeah, picking this baby up!
So who's taking bets as to whether or not the Reserved List gets pushed out the window by the time this set comes out? Because I can imagine the guys making this tearing their hair out every time they go to add a killer card and find out whoops it's reserved.

It could be Phyrexian Totem, which in some ways is even better than the orginal.
Probably gonna have to pick this up if purely for the awesomeness factor, I predict the first preconstructed deck I ever keep intact!
Also, how are they going to fit enough rares in the coalition deck for:
the weatherlight crew? I'm predicting Skyship Weatherlight, the entire crew, Gerrard Capashen and Coalition Victory in the Coalition deck, and Predator, Flagship and all of the phyrexian legends and rathi evincars in the Phyrexia deck, or maybe I'm just dreaming:rolleyes:...
So what money card u think they gonna drop in to make the rest of buy it? My guess is yawgmoth's will or yawgmoth's bargain for Phyrexia. Can anyone think of what the coalition might get?
Oh man, exciting! Invasion block was one of my favorite of all time and I am sure most of the reprints will be from it

I know everyone's thinking Coalition Victory already, but reading that sentence just nails it in my mind haha.

Started playing since Invasion, stopped at Scourge. Returned briefly during BoK's introduction of ninjas. Finally back into magic during Shadowmoor/Eventide.
Currently Running Bant Control and a homebrew Blightning Echoes for Type 2.
Nothing in this game is degenerate or completely dominant. They haven't banned anything in standard in a long, long time. Hell they should have banned affinity right away, but they didn't until boxed sales collapsed too. Hasbro had to come in and fire people.
I'll enjoy watching all the whiners eat crow monday.
This looks absolutely epic! (provided they do it right)
It better be balanced though. I was disappointed with Divine vs. Demonic because Divine was better. I mean, Demonic could win, but it just sort lacked the creature quality to be as good as Divine.
I don't know if Coalition Victory will be in, though it seems pretty obvious. A more playable five color card to put in would be Last Stand.

If I could "like" or "upvote" you right now, I would.

Into the Maw of Hell is a name so awesome, it deserves its own song.
It would be about a world of brown spikes and red fire, where men fight and scream and become blurry masses. Then it would change to somber, we learn that this glorious place exists only in Raymond Swanland's head. To visit it, you must enter the maw of Hell itself.
Sweet. Can't wait. I've lover phyrexia since i started playing. I hope it kicks some serious butt. I'm totally for this duel deck. I don't own any of the other ones. I'm buying this one for sure and probably going to turn it into some fancy themed edh deck.

Now we know for sure that the Coalition will be 5C and Phyrexia mono black. Wonder how they'll balance that.
Edit: Is it just me or does that art look like Urza? What card could that be?
Control is the ultimate expression of power.

I certainly think this fits in well with the idea we're going to revisit the Phyrexians in next year's block.

Isn't there a promo Phrexian Negator already?
I know a few people who have made decks around the Weatherlight crew, however it'll be interesting to see a phyrexian themed deck that holds up to it.

Yes, but that was given away, not sold, thus not breaking the List.
