I agree Seds. No reason to complain here. Some 13 year old kid who's never played before has just as much chance to pull a Mox as you do... sure we don't know the frequency, but if we knew it was 1 per case or whatever, then people would run out and buy more cases than they had originally intended, adding to the possible shortage.
Frankly, I'd rather find a surprise in my sealed pool or draft than spend hours digging for a golden ticket that I may never see.
Until wizards announces it, this is fake.
Lots people were trolling posting fake "look what I found" which was utter bullocks.
Just because lots of people were trolling doesnt make it true. It might be true, yes, but thats not very great evidence
So people who have provided card information for past spoilers are trolling me?
A store is staking its entire reputation on a troll?
Pat Chapin (who says 'its true' on his twitter) is trolling us too?
People around the world are all in on it, and trolling us all at once, opening different cards as time goes by?
Do you know how ridiculous this sounds?
Edit: This has no effect on the price of booster boxes, honestly.
They were 100 bucks well before this.
This is because the boxes are FLYING OFF SHELVES, being ordered at an EXTREMELY high rate.
Go to your local store and buy them, it is probably cheaper.

7 Stages of Grief...
1. SHOCK & DENIAL-
You may deny the reality of the situation, in order to avoid the pain.
2. PAIN & GUILT-
As the shock wears off, it is replaced with the suffering of unbelievable pain.
You may have guilty feelings or remorse over things you did or didn't do with your loved one. Life feels chaotic and scary during this phase.
3. ANGER & BARGAINING-
Frustration gives way to anger.
4. "DEPRESSION", REFLECTION, LONELINESS-
Just when your friends may think you should be getting on with your life, a long period of sad reflection will likely overtake you. This is a normal stage of grief, so do not be "talked out of it" by well-meaning outsiders. Encouragement from others is not helpful to you during this stage of grieving.
5. THE UPWARD TURN-
As you start to adjust, your life becomes a little calmer and more organized.
6. RECONSTRUCTION & WORKING THROUGH-
As you become more functional, your mind starts working again, and you will find yourself seeking realistic solutions to problems.
7. ACCEPTANCE & HOPE-
During this, the last of the seven stages in this grief model, you learn to accept and deal with the reality of your situation.

What I'm interested in knowing is where Wizards acquired these cards.
Are they reacqusitions from the secondary market, or are they from ancient inventory stocked away somewhere.
I doubt it's the first case, since that means conditions of the cards will vary greatly. If it's the second case, then this makes me wonder how much backlogged boxes wizards have of old sets all the way from the beginning.
I think my brain just exploded. I have in large part dreamt about this happening, much like any player who beens around a while and plays older formats as well as standard. I'd be curious to find out the frequency and if its a per box thing and are being treated as " super mythic rare" (i.e. only about 2 per box) type status or if its a per case thing.

This is the only time you'll hear my saying this...
****. YOU. WIZARDS.
Not for this promotion, that's fine, but for making booster boxes jump to $100 each.
Come on. I'm a college student.
Any honest FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store) will be pre-ordering them at the same price they always have (79-89). If you expect fancier presale prices on ebay, then there is where you've gone wrong.
Believe it or not, I have a feeling that they might be doing this for the fun of it.
Yes. That's why they were so upset when people discovered very early about the Timsehifted cards. MaRo said that he wanted to keep the secret until the prerelease just to see the surprise of people opening a Psyonic Blast or the such.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
Yes. That's why they were so upset when people discovered very early about the Timsehifted cards. MaRo said that he wanted to keep the secret until the prerelease just to see the surprise of people opening a Psyonic Blast or the such.
Well thats certainly possible
But if they're cards on the reserved list, and they're being taken out of old supplies instead of the secondary market (or being reprinted), this would flood the market and drive down prices, which would have the exact same effect as reprinting them anyway. Drawing an ancestral recall in mint condition would be great, up until 5000 people else around the country do it too
After playing this game for over ten years I've often wondered what would happen when sales on Magic started to drop to the point that is was no longer making a decent profit for the company that owns them (right now Hasbro). One of the things my friends and I came up with was reprinting power cards or just flat out putting old power cards back into booster packs. What better way to get old players back into the game than giving them a chance to open cards they might have missed years ago or get more of the old cards they loved. Plus newer playings would love opening a Mox or an Underground Sea. The only problem with this gimmick is that it is only a stop gap measure. The set that has these cards in them (just Zen if this is true for now) will sell like no other but then when do they stop? As soon as the reprints (or old cards) leave the boosters so do most of the people who came back because of those boosters.
If this is true than how desperate is Wizards right now? Does anyone else think that this might mean Wizards is on lean times? The reason I'm asking is because I love this game. I've made great friends and have spent many happy hours playing. I do not want to see this game fail, but I can't shake this feeling that this is the ringing of the final bells for Magic.
I just hope that I am wrong.
All singles for ZEN will be cheaper if people overbuy boxes. And that isn't a bad thing for players at all.
As I said in a previous post, a member opened TWO in one box.
Might have been a fluke, but shows they aren't as rare as we thought. Might be as rare as a foil rare.
Why is this 'the end of magic, etc' if this goes the entire printrun?
This set was ALREADY the biggest selling in years.
Before Lotus Cobra
Before a great deal of the spoiler was finished
Before this announcement
Sales are ridiculous as they are.
But then again, this might buy into the claims of distributors that WoTC was 'holding back product'...maybe that product doesn't have the 'treasures' in it.
This should NOT change the singles price of zendikar at all(unless its for all print runs of zendikar) since the print run was already sold out and there IS a shortage of this set just like M10.
Someone specified an Unlimited Lich, and the original thread was a 'white bordered Recall', so it looks that way for now?
Why?
You don't have to buy more packs.
People will buy more packs.
Single prices will be lower, because more product will be opened.
If you open one, it is like getting free money.
What is wrong with any of the above?
Also, this WILL NOT drive down the prices of any of the cards, because:
-They have a huge list of these cards they might be choosing from.
-If these were already existing cards, the value won't change, not to mention they would have to inject tons of them into the market to have any effect on their value, and this isn't the case.
-The value is not changing, no really.
That last part is only somewhat true. If its one per box, I would NOT be suprised if it hurt the secondary market. You are talking about interjecting tens of thousands of old cards into the secondary market in the hands of a lot of people who just see it as money to ebay, saying this wont affect the market with those kind of numbers is ludicrous. HOWEVER something like 1 per case is much more reasonable.
M10 has great cards in it too...
And everything but Baneslayer went down in price upon its release.
All the Planeswalkers, Pithing Needle (not for long, IMO), the duals, etc.
The fetches won't be expensive for long.
As it is, the mythic prices on SCG aren't ridiculous. Cobra could be lower, but everything else is reasonable.
M10 cards are trash compared to fetches and completely uncomparable. Fetches=required, M10 lands upon release where worse than current options people already owned. Needle is seeing its third reprint at non true rare, etc. The sets arent comparable.
I disliked the idea of super-rares (like one or two in a case or less) because it would skyrocket the prices of that specific cards. But like this it's just great! Always the suspense...will there be a Priceless Treasure?
no it wouldnt sky rocket the price of cards that already exist...
Any honest FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store) will be pre-ordering them at the same price they always have (79-89). If you expect fancier presale prices on ebay, then there is where you've gone wrong.
This is also untrue. Demand has outstripped production, your "FLGS" is still a business and there price to get boxes has gone up due to shortages. If they dont charge more then they will be out of business and your XFLGS
I just woke up, so part of my brain is telling me that I must be dreaming. Moxen and Revised Duals in Zendikar packs? As if the set wasn't generating enough hype already, this is going to take it overboard! Man, I better go pre-order my boxes!
So if we've seen, what, three Revised Duals, I'd imagine that the entire cycle is in, right? There would be little sense in printing only a portion of them. I would imagine that the Mox Diamond is the only Moxen, however, as it's the cheapest of the bunch, is it not? Truthfully, I don't pay attention to Vintage and Legacy because they're a bit out of my pay grade.
Is there any indication that they'll feature the new card frames, or will they be printed to resemble their original releases? And furthermore, could they be foil? Man, now THAT would be juicy.
Any older collector's out there (that may have Moxen and Recalls)? How do you guys feel about this?
I don't believe this and won't until i see it for myself
Golden lotus perfect recent example as to why you shouldn't believe things like this
Not it isn't.
Golden Lotus wasn't backed up by over 20 people across the world, the majority of which are actual trusted sources of information.
Golden Lotus was fake, I paid the 'price' by running to ebay to get Knight of the Reliquary (glad I did now).

As has been posted above you somewhere in the last 12 pages, these are not reprints, the recall even having a white border. these are old cards put into packs

Who's that guy who said that "If Wizards inserted $100 bills in packs, people would still complain that it was folded wrong."?
Well, opening a power is even better than opening a $100, and people are now complaining about box prices.....
I gotta say, from the view of a vintage collector, I do think this will affect T1 card prices. It's mainly because these are probably NOT cards that were already in circulation. So, wizards probably introduced thousands of cards into circulation that were not there in the first place. Depending on the actual amount of cards given out, the effect will either be negligible or devastating.

Boo-hoo.
Considering retail is 140-150, you really have no position to be complaining.
(Oh, and presale prices jumped to 100 back when the fetches were revealed.)
If you're not buying them RIGHT NOW, you only have yourself to blame.
