Only if you are willing to Mind rot yourself in order to achieve it. And really its worse than mind rot because you cant discard lands. In the meantime, those 2 cards could have dealt with the 2 threats your opponent played while you were discarding cards to Chandra.
Or those two cards you discarded in fact dealt with the threats that your opponent played. And it doesnt matter, Besides, there are some good red cards with madness, and there are always dead 'red' cards in a red deck based on what your playing against anyway. Imagine - with a chandra in play you untap and draw a lightning bolt, would you be angry to discard that and grow Chandra?
Magma Phoenix with Chandra Ablaze is pretty good board control. The discard ability allows you to pitch overpriced cards like Bogardan Hellkite when you either just don't have the mana or you want to reanimate them. Add in the new card Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle and Big Red could make a comeback.
Check out my custom set I'm working on, Nerastayn!

Well if it's the same length between updates, we'll probably see another update on Thursday or Friday.
That time frame seems about right. I believe Thursday is the same day the Magic Show is released, so we should get the Warren Instigators at the same time.

Possibly -2: You may play a red instant or sorcery in your graveyard without paying its mana cost. Then exile it.
Bosium Strip was always a favorite. Hate that it cares about GY order though.
I personally incline towards "Play all the instants and sorceries in your graveyard for free then exile them" as her ultimate. People's pants would spring to life and run away to avoid the imminent crapping on them.

I'd say it's perfectly possible that her second ability could also be a + ability. It would make sense. Last ability could be something like -9: You may play any number of red sorcery cards from your graveyard without paying their mana costs.

we can already see the down arrow ability cost box next to the second ability. It has to be a minus ability.

Well then use those 2 cards to deal with the 2 threats your oppoenent played, no big. She doesn't change your draws or force you to use her first ability. Her first ability can only improve 1 card per turn into a burn spell for 0 mana cost, and if it doesn't improve anything in hand, then you can just play the spell outright and use one of her other abilities.
Your issue is whether or not you want to use Chandra Ablaze in the first place. Just based on her first ability, you can put her in a deck to improve topdecked cards (or your hand in general) or ditch her for a burn spell or whatever else goes in your deck (not to mention her two other abilities).
Recent discussions here and elsewhere have made it clear that there seems to be a group of players who consider blue and control synonymous, as if they somehow started playing a game with four identical and "bad" colors that do nothing interesting because they just "turn men sideways" and then true, glorious blue, the only thinking person's color.
EDH decks
Marath, Will of the Wild
Sygg, River Cutthroat
Slobad, Goblin Tinkerer
Marchesa, the Black Rose
I really like Chandra Ablaze because if you topdeck another one, it's not a dead card, it's a Flame Javelin. That's awesome - I don't like having to hold that second Ajani in my hand (of course that probably means I'm beating face pretty hard).

You know, i really wish people would stop complaining so much about her first ability. If you really hate her so much, not only DONT use her, go away so the rest of us can admire it. Also, i don't think you're realizing how good she is. lets say you have Lightnight bolt, flame javelin, and jaws of stone in your hand. its turn 7, your opponent maybe has a couple four or five drops out.
give chandra +1, discard bolt, 4 damage to one of the creatures. play jaws of stone, kill another & burn your opponent for a couple.
Love the original Chandra! Her +1 is underwhelming but other 2 abilities are pure useful. This slow reveal stuff is STUPID, it just makes for a bunch of pointless speculation and posts, including this one lol.
Every other planeswalker ability causes card/tempo advantage. THIS DOES THE OPPOSITE. If the -1 ability isn't stupid good, I can guarantee you it will not see play. Even with those of you who like it. Turning any decent card into sorcery speed Flame Javelin isn't worth it. The card isn't terrible, but it isn't worth a 6 mana, 2-3+ card investment. What red deck has cads to pitch on tun 6? This will moe than likely be the last cad in your hand 98% of the time, unless you run Howling mine (And we all know the Mine's issues).
Y'all can quote me on this, and I'll also gladly take a bet on it.
It's understandable blue control players would be shocked and in denial at the notion of this card, since their decks have been dominating multiple formats for an eternity yet they've curiously never once had to deal with any counter-hosers that weren't ineffectual, narrow CRAP.

You're betting that a 6CC PW wont see play in an aggro environment? Well then, I'd like to place a bet that I will not win last years Worlds. Any takers?

I doubt playing it in RDW is the right move; I'd use her in some kind of two-color control deck, use Jace for CA and Chandra as a finisher/removal. Obviously, we're gonna need the other two abilities before we decide what exactly to do with her, but I bet she's gonna see play (if only because Planeswalkers seem to have some weird 60% success rate; out of the original five Jace, Ajani, and Garruk all see semi-regular play whereas Chandra and Liliana don't, Alara's PWs has Elspeth and Tezz seeing play with a bit of Vengeant, and Sarkhan and Bolas take the sidelines.)

Actually, Red is historically more about Sorceries and Blue with Instants. See Magnivore and Cognivore, or Anarchist and Scrivener. Or just take a look at Izzet Guildmage.

Lol. People would have to bring back Force of Wills and other weird stuff that could fizzle. It would be interesting to say the least.

have you got a better idea?
So, only post here if you have positive feelings twoard the card? Do you know what a Forum is?
People of every standpoint will post here. There's no telling people that don't agree with you to just "Go Away."
I like Chandra, but please, let's be mature and let everyone voice their opinion.
