I could see her going red/white after reading her book. That would make two RW walkers but its a lot more likely than her going blue.
After reading the novel you think white? Considering how much she HATES white I would think red/black would be a lot better since that's another enemy of white.
Erm... As much as I don't want to post this because it conflicts with my love for Chandra being monoR and promotes an idea of her obtaining U...
It turns out we were wrong. There is ONE things that says U in the new picture. Upon further inspecting and admiring of the picture, I noticed something odd. Blue behind Chandra.
Could it be the work of Jace?
Could Chandra be meddling in blue mage magic?
Could Chandra be pissed she has the power of blue and is therefore raising hell in the rest of the picture?
All these questions and more. But, there is still the fact that blue is in the picture.
Take a look if you dare...
the cool color in the artwork is nothing more than artistic principle, balance the warmer colors with cool ones.
And, btw, i got a good lead that the artwork doesn't neccesarily mean anything, Ala Incinerate! Jace VS Chandra version....

Given the way the storyline of her book unfolds, it's really unlikely she's white. White is the color she hates the most, and she even says in the end of TPF she will fight at sight white organisations whenever they cross her road.
It's even one of the major character development and plot of the book...
chandra doesn't like white no but i think that is just the kinda thing that wizards wants to throw at us right now. I could see her going red/white or red/black
I think we can safely say it's not Chandra Flamedancer. Steve Argyle thought the piece was for M10. He also said it was commissioned shortly after Alara, which is why he assumed it was for M10. Although don't mistake this comment for saying that Chandra isn't in ZEN. I'm simply saying the name is most likely not Chandra Flamedancer.
Yeah, and artists also have a tendency to give names to their artwork that don't match the final card. See Bola's Grasp.
Confusing, yes, but understandable. When the artist hands off the art there's a huge gap before it gets placed on a card, and sometimes it will even move to a different card it wasn't intended for. They have to call their work something, and making up a name is better than "WotC commissioned red burn spell 52".
I'm simply saying the name is most likely not Chandra Flamedancer.
Not to mention that artists have little knolledge of what actually is going to happen to their art. Sure they may get a "title" to work with, but it won't nessessarily become a card name.

Her enemy isn't a color, it's an organization. I would think white because, well,
she was literally infused with the color in the book. There is absolutely nothing in the book or her personality that would suggest B at all.
(sidenote, I found the book incredibly disappointing, considering the standard set by Agents of Artifice. Chandra just isn't a very interesting character, and driving the narrative by a series of deus ex machina is really unprofessional)
They didn't reveal the mana cost/color(s) yet. The spoiled image has just as much of a black border as any planewalker card.
The name bar is the shade of grey that is the background for Black cards. Granted, it's less obvious than if it'd been light blue for a Blue card, or light red/pink for a red card, but unless they're specifically trying to throw us off (unlikely), it's a Black card for sure.
Any idea why "Flamedancer"? Is that spoiled already?
I mean I understand the cleansing from TPF book.
I would not have guessed "dancer" as anything to describe her now.
Also, do you think that her new Ultimate will have anything in simularity with the old white card cleansing?
The filename for Steve Argyle's artwork for Chandra on his site is "Chandra Flamedancer". That doesn't confirm the card name, however everyone's running with it. The odds are in favor of her name not being Chandra Flamedancer for multiple reasons:
-Ponder isn't called "Cool Star-moving Wizard Guy"
-Slave of Bolas isn't called "Bolas' Grasp"
-Steve Argyle didn't even know the artwork was for a card in Zendikar
-The artwork was most likely done and titled well before a cardname was decided
It's just very unlikely that the title is Chandra Flamedancer. So unlikely that I've stated I'll quit Magic if the title is Chandra Flamedancer.

Maybe we'll get a R/B Chandra? That'd be pimp. and it'd be another great tool for Blightning Aggro for against 5cc. I'm droolin' just thinking about it.
