Lotus Vale. It was Wotc's oversight to make a Lotus an artifact, but to be flavorful they always made it so. This is more like a combination of Black Lotus and Lotus Vale, with a more useful ability these days.
Except that Lotus Vale is a location (a vale of lotuses), whereas the name Golden Lotus is a thing like Black Lotus and Gilded Lotus. I'm not saying a "Golden Lotus" like card couldn't be printed as a land, but it would probably be called "Lotus Garden" or something similar. Also, the complicated "if it would come into play" templating isn't required here. It's only needed for Lotus Vale because the vale comes into play untapped -- see Karoo lands which have a simple triggered ability.
Please excuse this post, it is nothing but spitballing interesting things you can do with this land...
T1- forest, BoP
T2- Summer Bloom, play any three lands, then Golden Lotus
T3- 11 mana available
Summer Bloom is in ninth so i guess this would be extended legal, though more than likely this is gonna be more for casual than competition, either way, truly awesome
And the funny thing is that if a player gets infuriated by a card, he cannot, by definition, be a spike.
O.O you got me right between the eyes there sir.
In the worst spike season in memory (that would be Masques, In my opinion) they would just shrug and say something like "meh, I guess infinite rebel recursion with Lin-Sivvi will have to do it for now".
Real spikes cannot be haters. Who'd a thunk it.

I know the perfect guy for the third faction:

Everything changes, nothing remains without a change - Buddha
This card looks perfect for my Worm Harvest deck. Just by itself I can Harvest for 9 worms on turn 5, and that's not counting the Terramorphic Expanse/Panormas that I'll probably have played turns 1-3. Awesome.
EDIT: Has it occured to anyone else that making it an artifact, and not a land, would make it more powerful, since you can play it and a land the same turn?
Mainly because it looks like the OP simply took a look at the facebook art pic and made up a card to go with it.
I'd like to second this opinion. Without a link or anything at all that actually shows us where the rules text for this card came from, I am disinclined to believe it is real*.
Yes, the art is from the Facebook art thread, but are the abilities from the same place? I'd check myself, but I didn't run to the thread to join it when WotC first announced it, and now I can't find the blasted thing for the life of me.
I'd also like to see the original source for this card so we can confirm one way or another whether "battlefield" is replacing "in play" or not. All I've seen so far in this regard is speculation without any solid evidence one way or the other.
* - EDIT: Not because it's over-the-top power-wise, because I don't think it is. It's a slightly better deal than what Squandered Resources can offer you for the same amount of lands, but while that card was busted in its time, it doesn't see any competitive play anymore. Yes, it will shake up Standard, but what new set doesn't have cards that do that? But as Progenitus said, it does feel like the OP saw the art and slapped a bunch of abilities on it.
Is Lotus Vale fake, too? Someone should warn magiccards.info.
Please...
What you point out as an example is Lotus Vale. A valley, a location where lotuses (loti?) grow. That's the land part. Do you really think that I am so dim-witted?
Lotus Vale makes sense as a land. A land named Lotus does NOT make sense.
I am not saying that this card does not exist, but the current name makes zero sense for a land card. I am just saying that if the source stated this as a name, then it is a rather good probability that the card might not be real.

Think of it this way:
Once you pop this thing you better win on that turn or setup something that can win for you by itself (on the order of Progenitus) some other turn because you're now four lands behind. That alone is reason enough not to want to play tricks to drop this early.
If this is real this is not that overpowered. You have to give up extreme card advantage for that 9 mana.
You also don't get that 9 mana the turn you drop this card. Sure some combo deck might have a use for it but the CITPT is a huge turn off for said deck.
That means if they are doing something silly like storm based combo they have to have this thing ready to go on the turn they go off. Unfortunately in most cases this thing tells them they have to wait one more turn which can mean death.
I would be declaring it ridiculous if it did not CITPT, in standard I can't think of a single deck that would run this. Though a combo deck may surface that uses this exclusively in T2.

The wording is not word for word confirmed yet, the OP says he was working from memory and lifted the text from Vale. The specific things like 'battlefield' and 'if it would' 'if you do' are not for sure.
I see it as this:
Making this card counterable is lame. Also, making it an artifact may have made it more abusable.
The art makes me think of Lavos from Chrono Trigger, so I see a HUGE lotus falling from the sky, knocking out your lands like it was a Chaos Orb or something. You have to break open the Lotus to get the mana it holds...
What you point out as an example is Lotus Vale. A valley, a location where lotuses (loti?) grow. That's the land part. Do you really think that I am so dim-witted?

I guess we can't be sure on the name. After all, I posted the name earlier as a guess from the art. Hopefully we can get more specifics soon. This card plays better as a land than an artifact though. The art is also that of a land. Do you think that looks like an artifact?

well, it being added to the spoiler simply means that one of the moderators believes it's legit, being that it isn't overpowered, the ability makes sense, and the templating looks ok for the current rules. i didn't really look at the name when he first posted it, but now.. yeah. doesn't make sense as a land..
I have my doubts.. I mean, it IS a bit early for spoilers like this, especially with how wizards has cracked down.

And that is exactly what I intended to say.
No, it does not look like an artifact. I can see it being real, but under different name. As for now, there's something fishy there, and that's why I am not 100% sold on it being real.

If a magazine has previews, it certainly isn't. There was no cracking down, to repeat. We had a few sources, and our few sources were told to stop spoiling basically. Things can still come in from other places, it is just less reliable.

It may or may not be real, I agree, but I don't think that the name alone is grounds for dismissing it.
The Lotus, as the picture indicates, is sufficiently large to qualify as a land - it's the defining feature of the landscape.
The same holds true for cards like Reliquary Tower, where the name represents a single, defining structure, rather than the land it is situated in. This is something that we see often in Magic.
After looking at it like this, I don't think it could be an artifact either, only because of the way it interacts with lands. Other than that I could see it being printed this way.

but this one wasn't. guy gave no source, let alone one as legit as lotus noir..
i believe the other spoiled cards 100%. hoping that the battlefield thing isn't for real, but thats about it.
I dislike this card. Not that it isn't cool, but it's one of those cards that's either going to be absolute unplayable jank or absurdly broken. There's no real middle ground with this card. These are the types of cards Wizards should be avoiding printing, but they just can't seem to help themselves.
Personally I think it most likely sucks in T2 but has serious broken potential in Extended and Eternal where Loam, Crucible, etc are legal.
After looking at it like this, I don't think it could be an artifact either, only because of the way it interacts with lands. Other than that I could see it being printed this way.
Well it does make sense if it really have the horrible template (if it...). If it's really a land it will just say: when this come into play sacrifice three untapped land. If you don't sacrifice Gigant Lotus.
Maybe I'm the only one that thinks it's over powered, but I can see a lot of things going wrong with this. Turn 4 Progenitus has already been pointed out. Drawing a crap-ton of cards off of cards like Mind Spring. I think it's the fact that you can split up the colors that make it a problem too. If it was just one color, then it wouldn't be that big of a deal.
Well it does make sense if it really have the horrible template (if it...). If it's really a land it will just say: when this come into play sacrifice three untapped land. If you don't sacrifice Gigant Lotus.
No it can't, if that were to happen then it would create a triggered abiliy. That would make it far too abusable with cards like stifle. It would basically make the card playable on turn 1-2 (depending on cards in hand) if you have a stifle in hand and a U producing mana source. The way it's written with the if clause means that it a replacement ability and that you really will have to sacrifice the 3 lands if you want the thing to hit play. I can only say...THANK GOD FOR SHROUD. Without the shroud this card would probably have "You now scoop to LD/Bounce" as the flavor text.
