I as well Like this card in the Mythic rarity because of the marginal usage in constructed. $100 Mythic Rares? I wouldn't be upset at Rare, but I'd rather have this at Mythic than the new Birds.
I like the preeminent captain to bring this bad boy in, but how about the other rhino soldiers in the last two sets? you need a blue permanent? how about the rhino soldier in conflux that 2/2, exalted, royal assassin that is GWU? that works.
I can see why this would need to be mythic... it's a HUGE bomb in limited. If they can't remove it immediately, then they need some way to remove multiple 4/4 tramplers simultaneously (or all your blue permanents). If they can't... well... the exponential rhino army will quickly overcome any stalemate.
In constructed, probably a bit too slow. In causal and limited, this is awesometastic!
Mythic ? MYTHIC ? Yeah alright after Thornling and this: Mythic doesn't even mean anything anymore. And this is crap since at turn six in Blue you're supposed to put a finisher. This card should have been UNCOMMON... and costed 1 less.
I think it is a pretty cool card for a rare so it does justifiy it as mythic. but seriously this could never be an uncommon, its too splashy for a uncommon. I do agree it would be much better if it did cost 5cc instead of 6cc.

Can people please stop justifying this card as being a mythic rare!! They could have made easily made this a rare if they were concerned with its limited applications. With that said, this is right up there with the rest of the non-worthy of being called, not really that good, mythic rares of Conflux.

If you are saying Mythic rares were a bad idea in the first place, I can agree with that. If you are saying Mythic rares should be playable, that I have issue with. They should be awesome, but mostly unplayable except in casual in my opinion. It is better for the game that way.
5 cc, swings for 4 trample first time, then swings for 12 trample next turn?
(remember he goes 2, then 4, then 8... but you swing with 1, then 3, then 7).
I think you swing with 1, then 2, then 4, etc.
First play this guy.
Next turn, make a copy (2 total rhinos) and attack with the original.
Next turn, make 2 copies (4 total rhinos) and attack with last two...
Then make 4 copies and attack with last 4, etc.
Mirror-Sigil Sergeant - 5W
Creature-- Rhino Soldier (Mythic)
Trample
If you control a blue permanent, during your upkeep, put a token into play that's a copy of Mirror-Sigil Sergeant
4/4
Starcitygames confirms it. Amazing johnniness!!!!!
My UW Control deck got a funnnnn card. Remove it, or else. Yum. Now for a good blue permanent...
Am I the only one who calls fake? The title font is off, the position of the mana cost is off, the Mythic Rare symbol is low quality, the card is off center, and the StarCityGames link isn't working. Maybe that last one's just me.
And the tokens don't exist.

What would you attempt... if you knew you could not fail?
This card seems good enough for constructed, though I can't say how good or what deck he belongs in (bant aggro?). Another thing: I don't see how this justifies being a mythi- oh, the tokens copy too?
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
I'm glad this is mythic. For those of you who say it's not good enough to be mythic, be happy. You'll open the "better" rares more often. My take on the mythics is that they are cards that drastically impact the limited formats, and we need limited bombs like this to be spread thin. Good shards decks already have 1-2 "kill-me-or-die" cards in them, why make them more common?

Yeah, of course you're right.
But wow... you get a 4/4 blocker and a 4/4 trample attacker the first turn you can swing. Then double up the next turn.
How can that possibly be considered overcosted for 6 cc?
I think it's ok, fun etc. Not super 3leet amazing. If you're playing mono green beat down, you should have this guy almost neutered by the turn he comes into play. Or laugh as he blocks your deathtouch creatures. Or give them timmy equipment.
He reminds me of my Auratouched Mage + Followed footsteps deck. Except the mage in that deck is better, since it can grab the best enchantment for the job and Darkest Hour or similar color stuff doesn't completely hose me.

My only problem with this logic is that there are way, way too many limited bombs that still aren't spread thin. We can't make every large fat creature a mythic just because it is a limited bombs. A number of rare creatures are arguably more bomb-y in limited than this card already.
I was going to say that maybe this is justified as being mythic because it has a totally unique (and awesome) ability, but I forgot about that blue aura that gives any creature this ability.
So, cool, card, very very fun, love it, but doesn't feel mythic.
And trample on a monowhite card? trample on a monowhite card that cares about blue cards? Is this some kind of joke, did MaRo make all those "color pie" articles just to screw with us?

Agree it's probably too slow for constructed...
1. Baneslayer Angel 2. Birds of Paradise 3. Lightning Bolt 4. Honor of the Pure 5. Goblin Chieftain
My top 5 Zendikar cards:
1. Eternity Vessel 2. Chandra Ablaze 3. Beastmaster Ascension 4. Ob Nixilis, the Fallen 5. Rampaging Baloths

6 cc is perfect.

Wow.
Scuttlemutt!!!!!
I could see Conflux ushering in more "color matters" decks than SHA did. Especially that Cliffrunner. Nice inter-expansion synergy.
The only reason I don't like it at Mythic is because it'll make it more costly to get four.
Scuttlemut doesn't work. You must control the blue permanent at the beginning of your upkeep.
“Homo homini lupus est.”
Nuts. I was thinking the effect triggered, went on the stack then the "if" checked on resolution. Oh well, thanks for clarifying.

There's nothing new about this, either. Has everyone forgotten Chronozoa (with Paradox Haze)?
