    Mirror-Sigil Sergeant - 5W
    Creature-- Rhino Soldier (Mythic)
    Trample
If you control a blue permanent, during your upkeep, put a token into play that's a copy of Mirror-Sigil Sergeant
    4/4

    Starcitygames confirms it. Amazing johnniness!!!!!

Awesome johnny card, not bad, not very good either, but creative nonetheless. may we know the rarity please, and probably post the exact link if its in a forum so we can verify? Thanks!

EDIT: Shoot, I'm lazy! It's right there on the front page.

So, people were wondering why Thornling deserved Mythic Rare status... it's still a quadzillion times more special than THIS thing.

Very fun card. Quite flavorful, too. Move along, Spikes. Multiple Man's not for you.

I don't know. An army of 4/4 tramplers in an environment with Bitterblossom and BW Tokens deck seems pretty good, especially in the control oriented combination of UW. This might top out a Bant control deck, is it goes more control than aggro. Not to mention-- Noble Hierarch essentially makes it at worst Turn 5?

Reading is tech! It doesn't look like he edited his OP. It's Bennie Smith, in SCG, so it doesn't need verification. =P

Nice card, btw. It's a good thing that most cards that copy things happen to be Blue!

    It is posted as Mythic.

Looks like fun for a W/U control deck.
  • #11
Well if you can guarantee it lives to upkeep and you have a blue permanent 100% of the time.

    You get 2 4/4s for 5W then if I'm reading it right it becomes 4 4/4s then 8 4/4s then 16 4/4s.

    Not bad...

At least with that mana cost you know your gonna be able to setup a nice blue enchantment/artifact or something.

Feel free to bid on my cards here!

I wish it were playable in T2 constructed! It looks like an amazingly fun card.

I was thinking Ballyrush Banneret, myself. Which makes me think there might in fact be aggro applications.
  • #14
wait let me get this straight so first you play this (1), next turn you get a COPY of it so now theres (2), next turn both the original and the copy trigger (since its a copy it has everything including the ability)and now theres (4), and this continues until someone drops a wrath effect or manages to kill every single copy+original, or else the cycle starts over? i pity the player who rans out of removal/bounce the turn this comes into play

    edit: Sarnath'ed by Monopoman :p

FoW will never be re-printed for standard use. If it is, I will eat a playset of Alliance copies.

Why is thing a Johnny card (as the article implied?).

Johnny has much better tools to play with, especially in Conflux itself (hi, Progenitus and Maelstrom Angel!)

Albeit if the opponent doesn't deal with it immediately, they will lose quickly.
  • #18
wow, this thing is retardedly good. as mentioned, the good ol' banneret gets this in pretty quickly Smile

hmmm, does the copy get the ability as well?

Vesuvan Doppleganger seems like a fun choice to be that blue permanent. lol
  • #20
Something is wrong. Looking at: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/106 there are only 2 tokens. Maybe the wording is off.
  • #21
Or they didn't release the token to ruin Mirror Sigil? Or since it's the same card, they figured-- they aren't making tokens with such complicated wordings?

    Thanks Zeph

Spawnwrithe also made a token that wasn't on the token sheet. The token was called Spawnwrithe.

It is creatues like this that are going to force me to run 4 path to exiles and shriekmaws, this set seems to love and have kinky 5 mana sex with and have giant babies with huge creatures.

Haha sarnath'd my edit : ) yeah i was too lazy to put the browser there! looked at it now

but anyway, with regard to all the comments on this card's mythic status, it is kinda epic if you think about it, building up a massive army of 4/4 tramplers that have the same ability on them...it's funny mythic, haha. i am beginning to change my mind about conflux
