i know its got to be only ONE card in the set but i am dying with curiosity to know WHAT THE PLANESWALKER IS
i don't know hydro,
we still have 1 gold card to go, also our numbers coud be off somewhere by 1 in land or artifact planeswalker could be slotted as a subsection all its own
then again it could be an overcard like vangaurd
The gold card is Jhoira. Trust me on that, it's the only place she fits, and she's definitely in the set. Unless the single planeswalker card appears in that one dodgy place between Artifacts and Land (One slot for a (ts) card), there's none.
I really wish we had one... but it' not looking good ATM
And to those who can't read: This card isn't fake. Stop suggesting it is, or I'll have to call the banhammer on you...

why not hydro it could be right there in that dodgy spot. unless and untill we hear otherwise why not keep that slot for the planeswalker, hell it could even be a time lost planeswalker from the future with no back story we have any knowledge of. in fact that could be the best place for it
Here's what I believe to be the strangest thing if there is no planeswalker in Futre Sight: because this card says that planeswalker is a type, the comprehensive rules would most likely say so as well. If there's no planeswalkers in FS, what would their entry be until one was printed? "Planeswalker is a card type. We can't tell you anything about it yet."?

Boy, my posts looked bare before I got a signature.
If Planeswalkers appear in the next set, that'd be a great key-in for inter-block design. And, if that's the case, it's perfectly plausible for there to be no Planeswalkers in FS, since Tarmogoyf can be a perfectly happy 8/9 while still in standard.
This makes for a cheaper threat for 'Tings as well, although it doesn't have trample.
I think they will just print Planeswalker cards whenever they show up in the story. I don't think its supposed to be one of those block mechanic things.

GENERATION 3.78: The first time you see this, add it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation
Tarmogoyf will reliably be a 3/4 or 4/5 in Limited, you can count on Instants, Sorceries and Creatures being in the graveyard several turns in. Perhaps even an Artifact or Enchantment, if you're lucky.
212.8a Each tribal card has another card type. Playing and resolving a tribal card follows the rules for playing and resolving a card of the other type.
212.8b Tribal subtypes are always single words and are listed after a long dash: In "Tribal Enchantment -- Rebel Aura," "Rebel" is a subtype of tribal. The set of tribal subtypes is the same as the set of creature types; these subtypes are called _creature types_. Tribals may have multiple subtypes.
* Tribal is not a permanent type. However, a tribal card can become a permanent if another of its types allows it to do so.
* Since creatures and tribals share their list of subtypes (which are still called "creature types"), some other rules that govern subtypes are changing. Here are some of these revised rules:
205.3d Artifacts, enchantments, and lands each have their own unique set of possible subtypes. Instants and sorceries share their lists of subtypes; these subtypes are called _spell types_. Creatures and tribals also share their lists of subtypes; these subtypes are called _creature types_. (You can find complete lists of subtypes in the glossary at the end of this document under "Creature Types," "Land Types," and so on.)
205.3e If a card with multiple types has one or more subtypes, each subtype is correlated to its appropriate type.
* The _Onslaught_ card Artificial Evolution can change the creature types of a tribal.
* Various older cards that refer to creature types will be getting errata to work as expected. After this errata, if an ability mentions just a creature type, it can affect any permanent with that creature type. (For example, "tap an untapped Wizard you control" means "tap an untapped Wizard permanent you control.") If an ability can affect only a creature, it will say so. Some cards will use the new term "permanent card," which means "an artifact, creature, enchantment, or land card."

The really interesting thing about the rules primer is it doesn't give any rules for the planeswalker type, which seems to confirm that there are no planeswalker cards in Future Sight. Personally, I think it's a red herring, and they have no intention of printing planeswalkers (after all, they've said so often enough).
It really wouldn't make sense to print planeswalkers since the player is supposed to be one, but I still don't see how tribal is a card type. It is simply a supertype like world or legendary, not a card type.

Technically, the players are supposed to be supreme wizards battling each other for the sheer enjoyment of pitting creatures against each other and flinging spells around like it's the 4th of July...
Anyways, tribal could be considered a type of spell that a certain group of people (rebels) pass down from generation to generation. That could explain why you could fish out a tribal aura with a rebel, because it's a part of his culture. I'm sure we'll see tribal elf, wizard, and goblin cards in the near future...
I honestly would like to see Urza as a card, not counting vanguard...

Players are considered planeswalkers in the context of the Magic-card game.
I really wouldn't see a problem with printing a planeswalker card. If you were in a fight that was tough, wouldn't you be willing to call up a buddy and ask for help?
Some of you may have been in shock since we invaded Canada and Mexico, but fear not, it was for a good cause. Now that we conrol North America, we produce an extra 5 armies a turn.^_^
