But, you also want me to include Coldsnap…what a tricky, subtle way of trying to sneak top-secret Coldsnap information out of me! Well it just might work, Ohioan...It just…might...work. If you add Coldsnap, the total number of tournament legal card names becomes 8242…the clever among you may notice that Coldsnap's set size has been announced as 155 cards…yet I only added 149 cards to my total when I added Coldsnap…hmm, hey that's weird...why do you think that is?
That was in the Ask Wizards section. This leads me to believe that we will see 6 reprints from ice age/alliances in 'Snap, because the alternative would be adding banned cards (FoW) to the set. So what cards could be reprinted?
Just clarifying in the first post...
5 of these reprints are the SC Lands.
One is as of now, unknown.
Please let there be an ante card, please let there be an ante card...

WotC: you should've kept the same team that designed Ravnica - they had some sense of creativity. The Guildpact team appears to have the combined resourcefulness of three baboons, a plunger, and a broken coconut. Go team!
No, snow-covered lands count as 5 of the 6 reprints.
Devin Low said that when he added Coldsnap to the list of unique cards printed he only add 149 cards, even though the set is 155. He wouldn't add the 5 snow-covered lands to the total because they were already accounted for in the original 8,000+ number.
So 1 reprint.... what the heck could it be?!
EDIT: Looks like ferro_man posted the same thing while I was typing my post.
guys...not to ruin the interesting guesses you have been making...
but the reprint/preprint WILL NOT BE FROM THE ICE AGE BLOCK
this set will be the third set in the ice age block which means they will not reprint an ice age or alliances card in coldsnap
A Certain Ice Age Creature – This creature is the only one of its creature type. Which seemed so wrong, given what the creature did. Everyone wanted more of them, so we made more in Coldsnap.
Well, assuming it is a reprint and that it has to be from a set from pre-IA, my vote goes to Ice Storm. Would make sense then to mention Stone Rain in the same post.... no? It Orbs out too.....

I agree. Ice Storm or Winter's Grasp would make a lot of sense. And be very welcome.
No one else thinks this may well be one last ante card, in keeping with the "old school" feel of the set? It would mean that there would only be 149 new tournament legal cards, and it would be very cool to see.
Although they probably wouldn't want players opening a pre-emptively banned card in their sealed deck pool, so I guess it's probably not that feasible...

since it can not be any card from ice age block and working on logic, i think it has to be an instant sorc or artifact. spells(instants and sorc) can be learned created lost and rediscovered, a creatue i find unlikly. my bet would be an artifact from pre ice age, like su-chi. it fits with the story as the world thaws old things from the time of the brothers and before are discovered etc
Crossing the list of possible cards (anything not banned/restricted, from any set other than Ice Age or Alliances) with Orb results, and you'll probably get several hundred cards. I don't think we'll be able to guess what the 1 reprint is.
Elspeth "we must fight to protect order and justice!"
Tezzeret "No! he will break all my artifacts and stomp my head!"
Vol "powerful dragon must be brought to heel!"
Ajani "**** this Im outta *planeswalks to lorwyn* wow what hell is this place?"
Little lorwyn goblin "this be the place of bad art and Tribes!!!"
All other Alara planeswalkers "hey where did ajani go???"
Cards that are reprinted in expansion sets get new art. You didn't see the Alpha art for Stone Rain or Disenchant reprinted in any of the expansions, did you? Swords to Plowshares got new art in Ice Age? Savage Twister got new art in Mirage?
While I can't be anything resembling sure about the identity of this preprint, we know that it won't be from Ice Age or Alliances. Also, Factory is WAY too good for modern formats. Same for Ice Storm... while LD isn't out of flavor for green, it doesn't get it as easily or as often as red, and thus if there were going to be an Ice Storm variant, it'd be Thermokarst.
It's either Frozen Solid or something that'll completely take all of us by surprise.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
I don't think its at all possible for there to be a new ante card, and not just becuse it would be preemptively banned. Ante cards are cool enough that people would still want them (and they certainly have no qualms about printing cards that will never see limited/tournament play. Zephyr Spirit and Chimney Imp are effectively "banned" in every format.)
The problem is Magic Online. A paper ante card has some use. You can sell it to ante players, trade it, etc. But on Magic Online it would be 100% useless. It would not be playable in even the casual formats. All it would be is a digital image of a card, which you can easily find on Gatherer.
Well, unless they pull something like this:
Flames of the Money Hand 1R
Instant
Flames of the Money Hand deals 3 damage to target creature or player.
If you are playing for ante, Flames of the Money Hand instead deals 5 damage to target player. The damage can’t be prevented. If that player would gain life this turn, that player gains no life instead. Any player may ante an additional card to counter Flames of the Money Hand.

I used to judge alot.
- Aurochs (IMO highly likely)
- Blizzard
- Blizzard Elemental
while true that snow covered lands are not unique...they do make up part of the 155 cards in the set
but there are 149 unique cards in the set
which means there is one reprint/preprint
I'm hoping that its frostling (it would make sense except that back then ice was green)
they won't put aurochs or blizzard into coldsnap since they are already in the ice age block

Frozen 1
Solid 1
Frozen Solid maybe? It would definatly fit the flavor of the set.

;-)
I'd love input and advice!
EDIT: Frozen Solid doesn't turn up in the Orb.
My Tamanoa decklist (RGW), infuriating my brother since it's so junky!
Ice = 10, Storm = 4
Also possibilities on the theme:
Ice Cave
Tendo Ice Bridge
Cold Storage
Frozen Shade
