This is fake.
Why? Because it's the best enchantment removal in the game, which is white. It's mass TARGETED removal, which if anything is red. It's not green, and it's broken beyond belief.
Sure, how many T1 player run green cards with a cmc of ANYTHING... but there's no reason not to with this on the field. No reason at all. EVEN IF IT didn't have the "up to" clause, it would still break T1, Break T2, and break block (yep. Enchant lands and hondens won't see play with this card ever.)
Green's already shaping up to be the best color in CHK block; and now you hose equipment, hondens, manland enchantments, AND... just because... affinity?
The saddest thing is, if it turns out to be fake there will be many a sigh...
A lot of people WANT this card to exist! I know I'm going to be disappointed big time if the green shoal is actually something else.
Seems quite a sweeper in type 1 until you consider the fact that the colour "green" might as well have been renamed the colour "madness", and Force/Duress are everywhere to shut this down. But dumping an arrogant wurm to it would sure be funny with all the artifact men running around these days.
EDIT: changed "discard" to "dump"
Oh yeah, and saying it can't exist because it is better than white is a weak argument. White has been getting the shaft for the past ten years, and they're hardly gonna stop now. The only good cards white have gotten recently either cost 6+ or were mistakes!
I will sigh if false. Also, what is the CMC of an alternate casting cost spell, I think it would be 2+CMC of pitched spell. Makes a difference with the Blue Shoal and Condesend, etc...
Edit: I just saw that this came from 'News. At least raa didn't post it, if you look hard enough at his "leaked" cards, you can usually see what he ate for dinner...
That card will kill artifacts everywhere though, as in make them neigh unplayable...I call fake. They could have banned Ravager, they did not. That shows that they intend for it to remain.
Unless they didn't ban BECAUSE this was coming. I kept feeling the hunch that they didn't want to do anything in the hopes that something they were cooking up would fixt the problem without PO'ing the owners of Ravagers.

You weren't the only one to have that feeling. I was just talking to a friend telling him that maybe they didn't ban anything from raffinity BECAUSE of this card. I do hope this is real. Raffinity needs control. Now. :mad2:
I don't believe it is true because of the simple fact that it says 'up to'. The other X cost shoals all said equal to. It would make sense and be naturally limiting if it said 'equal to', as well as make sense in a cyclical way.
That being said, I don't see how this can be real.

If this one happens to be fake, I don't think that would be it either. If I would have to guess, it would either be some sort of animate lands type of thing, or target creature pumpage (+X/+X).
I'm kinda hoping this is fake, i mean, i really do want something that takes out Ravager, but not a card that forces people to play with green cards just to do it. This card is I-N-S-A-N-E. Personally i don't think wizards could make this but not even let MoggSpirit be at proper power level, they need to stop going to extremes like they did with Eternal Witness, Skullclamp, Ravager, etc. Hoping for fake.
In the current wording, no, it can't be real. Although not broken by any standard, it is definitely too strong to see print. Even without the "up to" clause, it still seems a tad too strong. This and Vine Trellis = Oxidize X2 - 2 mana. And beyond that is even hardcasting. Tooth and Nail decks would have no problem erasing alot of affinity's board. As I see it, it's gotta read "Destroy X target non-land artifacts or enchantments." Anything else is too powerful in my opinion.

If this one happens to be fake, I don't think that would be it either. If I would have to guess, it would either be some sort of animate lands type of thing, or target creature pumpage (+X/+X).
The untap one is acceptable & reasonable, except that one-off mana gather is more likely to be red (Early harvest? oh yes, maybe... )
Target creature pumping definitely lay over the red one (which is +X/+0), and animate land have the "multi-target" issue alsr.
I believe the green shoal can be:
1, +X Life (Stream of life)
2, Destroy target artifact/enchantment w/ CC=X
3, Thrive effect (multi-target problem too)
or 4, Put X 0/1 fish spirit token into play

It would most certainly not be this, simply because it's pointless when hardcast. They wouldn't make a Shoal such that it was only effective when played for free.

I can see the issue with the "multi-target" problem, but wouldn't you think that life gain would possibly be on white? The most probable one I can see is number 2, which would make sense if this isn't the right wording/is fake. Btw, X 0/1 Fish Spirit tokens? :shocked2: , lol.

I don't know about (+X/+X) as Blazing Shoal already gives (+X/+0). How about these possibilities?

Right... like every deck with green wouldn't run 4 X of these.
Land screwed turn 1? Have this? You won't be land screwed for long!
Turns 4-X, sick of drawing lands? PLAY THIS.
Greatest use: On turn 3 after you've dropped a 3 drop, ditch a 6cc legend (or duplicate legend) and get all the lands you want.
About those ....ugh, not really existing fishes
It's clearly that X 1/1 token design is overpowered (imagine it.. seven or more 1/1 creatures @ the first turn? :evil2: )
So if they want to design a shoal that spawn tokens, they have to make something 0/X (nah).
After reading all these bad attempts at trying to remake the green shoal I have changed my stance... I hope this is real. I would rather have a card that is really good and I can sell to a green player than repeatedly open crap rares draft after draft.

The best use of Blossoming Shoal would be with Scroll Rack. Hell, if that saw print, W/G Parfait might actually be good again in T1!

I see your point on this. It is a tad overpowered. Then again Blazing Shoal can conceivably enable a turn 1 kill. If they are willing to print that then I don't see why this one would be a no-no.
Anyways, I'm just tossing out random ideas. Like most of my guesses the real version will probably be a mile apart from what I thought.
