If I cast a declaration in stone on a thunderbreak regent and he has 3 thunderbreak a in play, how much total damage am I taking? Please help me on this this I've been getting mixed rulings from judges. One judge says 3 damage only, the other says 9 total.
The judge that says 3 damage only said that was the case because I'm not targeting all 3 and the triggers only go off on itself and different other named dragons. He said it wouldn't how many thunder break regents are out.
The other judge that ruled it 9 damage total said it was because I'm only targeting one, but, all the other thunderbreak triggers happen at once.
Declaration in Stone has only one target. The other creatures with that name aren’t targeted. For example, a creature with hexproof will be exiled if it has the same name as the target creature. So you will take 9 damage because you targeted 1 dragon and triggered all the other dragons.
This thread is 5 months old and Marek14 gave the correct answer back in June. It is a total of 9 damage.
Thunderbreak Regent says whenever a dragon becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, it deals 3 damage. A dragon does become the target of a spell so all 3 trigger to each deal 3 damage for a total of 9.

Which one is right and why? Thanks
