What happens if I discard Avacyn's Judgment, pay 10R, and then cast Fork? Will the copy also deal 10 damaged divided as I choose?
Rule 706.10 states that a copy of a spell copies all decisions, including value of X and alternative costs, which means that the copy will be considered to have its madness cost paid (this is in contrast to effects as Converge which don't work with copies). However, you won't be able to divide 10 damage as you choose: you will have to preserve the division made for the original spell. For example, if you want to deal 1, 2, 3, and 4 damage to four targets with the original spell, then the copy will also have to deal 1, 2, 3, and 4 damage and you can just choose where.
