I've been durdling about with the new spoilers and I had a couple odd situations come up that I'm not sure on and would like some clarification if possible. Here's the first question.
I have thing in the ice in play with only 1 ice counter left. I cast a path to exile targeting an opponent's birds of paradise. Does the bird get exiled due to path or is the bird bounced with Awoken Horror's transformation trigger leaving my path without a target? In a similar example, I have thing in play with 1 ice counter remaining and my opponent has 2 kitchen finks in play and they have zero cards in hand. I cast a mind rot targeting my opponent. Does the bounce trigger resolve before mind rot does to cause my opponent to discard both creatures and become a very sad panda?
Second question.
I have thing in the ice in play with only 1 ice counter left. I cast a divination which removes the last ice counter. My opponent casts a go for the throat targeting the thing in response to my divination. I then cast a think twice in response to GftT. Will this cause the thing to transform and get the bounce effect from flipping before GftT resolves? If so, what happens to the other transformation trigger that is still on the stack? What if instead of casting think twice, I counter his spell with a spell snare, then what happens with both transform triggers?
Third question.
I once again have a thing in play with only 1 ice counter on it along with a spellskite. I say to my opponent "I'll go to my attack step, any responses?" They tell me no. Before I declare attackers, can I cast a think twice to transform the thing and then attack with Awoken Horror?

And on that day, Garfield said unto the world "Go ye forth and durdle!"
1: Thing in the Ice will always transform before the spell resolves. So Birds of Paradise will be returned to hand and not exiled, and Kitchen Finks will go to hand in time to being discarded with Mind Rot.
2: I assume that opponent casts Go for the Throat in response to Thing in the Ice trigger. In this case, your Think Twice creates a new trigger which will resolve before Go for the Throat. Then Awoken Horror will die, so the other trigger does nothing. If you use Spell Snare, then the second trigger will resolve, but it won't be able to transform the card again because it has already transformed while the trigger was on stack (recent rules change).
3: You can do this in beginning of combat step, and Awoken Horror will be ready to attack then.
2: I assume that opponent casts Go for the Throat in response to Thing in the Ice trigger. In this case, your Think Twice creates a new trigger which will resolve before Go for the Throat. Then Awoken Horror will die, so the other trigger does nothing.
And therefore I will still get the bounce effect from the transformation before the horror dies correct?

Yes.
