Kallia negates any "when ~ attacks" abilities because they aren't declared, they're just dropped in attacking. It's one of the major reasons Rakdoswas so popular, because he's not declared, you don't sacrifice your permanents.
However the slight variance on Master of "when ~ attacks a player" seems to make the ability trigger. This means the "attacks a player" clause is quite a bit different from any simple "when ~ attacks" clause.
Why is this exactly?
And if all of this is wrong, and his ability doesn't trigger like any other attack clause when dropped, then the internet is wrong.
They work together. MoC will cause the player's life total to become 1 if he is unblocked when Kaalia drops him into play.
Kaalia puts cards into play tapped and attacking. This gets around MoC's inability to attack with teammates.
Cards with abilities worded how MoC's is worded trigger when they are not blocked so they trigger when blockers are declared, not when damage is dealt. I don't know the comprehensive rules location for this rule so I can't tell you exactly where to look it up but I'm pretty confident about this.

This is what I was hoping to hear about, thank you very much!

for Attack and isn't blocked:
509.4g An ability that reads “Whenever [this creature] attacks and isn’t blocked, . . .” triggers if no
creatures are declared as blockers for that creature. It won’t trigger if the attacking creature is
blocked and then all its blockers are removed from combat.
for Attack:
508.2a Abilities that trigger on a creature attacking trigger only at the point the creature is declared
as an attacker. They will not trigger if a creature attacks and then that creature’s characteristics
change to match the ability’s trigger condition.
Example: A permanent has the ability “Whenever a green creature attacks, destroy that
creature at end of combat.” If a blue creature attacks and is later turned green, the
ability will not trigger.
About Kalia:
"9/22/2011 The creature card is already tapped and attacking as it's put onto the battlefield. Any abilities that trigger when a creature becomes tapped or when a creature attacks won't trigger for that card."
You don't even have to derive the interpretation from those rules. The term "attacks and isn't blocked" actually has its own Glossary entry in the Comprehensive Rules that spells it out explicitly:
Quote from CR Glossary »
Attacks and Isn't Blocked
An ability that triggers when a creature "attacks and isn't blocked" triggers when the creature becomes an unblocked attacking creature. See rule 509.1h.
Does Master of Cruelties' ability trigger when Kaalia summons it?

This isn't the comprehensive rules but it is from WOTC R&D:

edit: the guru of all rules gurus knows his comprehensive rules.
edit 2: 509.4g for Attacks / Attacks & Isn't Blocked difference.

I think the best part is that he sets their life to 1 before Kaalia hits the opponent and deals her damage.

This applies for the Attack trigger (508.2a)
