I was playing a game on cockatrice and I had played a Boros Reckoner(my turn 3 I was on the play) and my opponent had a Thalia, Guardian of Thraben in play and plays a Silverblade Paladin soulbonds them and attacks with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben as a 2/1 Doublestriker I block with Boros Reckoner and at first I thought he would die but then I read his effect this is where my question comes in would Boros Reckoner's effect trigger to first strike damage? (if yes continue on) could I target the Silverblade Paladin and kill it before normal damage? I was trying to figure it out when I got kicked from the game

so Thalia would lose doublestrike before she could deal normal damage?
If you shoot Silverblade Paladin during the first strike damage step, then Thalia will no longer have double strike during the normal damage step. Because she already dealt damage in the first strike step, she won't deal any in the normal step.
If a creature with double strike or first strike deals its first strike damage and then loses the ability, it wont deal damage in the normal damage step.
The same way if a creature doesnt have first strike during first strike damage step and gains first strike before the normal combat damage step, it will deal combat damage then.
And yes between each step each player gets priority and has to pass on the empty stack to get to the next step.
That means everyone can play instants at that point.
Also note that the first strike damage step is skipped if no creature with first strike is involved in combat.
